I have Firefox 18 installed. This is the third time Firefox has stopped opening.

I have run Malwarebytes & Microsoft Security Essentials all three times and each time neither has found any issues. The only thing that has worked has been uninstalling (using Revo Uninstaller) and reinstalling.

It has been working fine for about three weeks, and stopped opening again last night.

Oh, and trying to use the mozilla help screens in Internet Explorer is a nightmare ...

And I tried to use the Troubleshooter below, IE won't let that happen either.

I am running an older version of Mozilla V 2.0.0.20 on an IBM Pentium III Processor w/ 256MB of RAM and Win/ME - is there a place where I can get a newer release of Firefox - but not the latest. The present Version 24 does not support this operating system. A certain website 'bright.com' does not recognize this version I am using as valid - stating my browser is 'older than dirt' (which it is) and to upgrade.

I want the old download box! Searching around your support forum I have come to the conclusion that it is permanently out. I do NOT care how vulnerable older versions are so you can spare the lecture. I NEED the older version, is there one i can download that has the old style download window? Otherwise, I'm definitely converting to full-time Opera. Seriously. Sorry if I'm coming off like an asshole, but this is a depressing day.. the reason I began using this program was because it WASN'T a clone of chrome and IE... now all you browser developers got uniformed faster then the media does during a false flag operation.

im using waterfox latest update. (just downloaded it after a routine reformat)

I have installed an older version of Firefox (v. 19.0) ... It still allowed for the "Favicon Picker" add-on to work properly. Then I change the favicons to display the way I want them ... I then export bookmarks in HTML (including favicon files) ... Then I can update to the latest version of Firefox (or Waterfox) and import my bookmarks via html ... every thing is perfect, until the first time I click on a bookmark with a custom favicon ... immediately it is replaced by the sites favicon. Can I stop sites from automatically including their favicons when I visit their pages? Is there a userChrome line that someone can feed me? Any ideas? Thanks for reading.

I have the "flash cookie remover" installed. I recently rebooted my router, giving me a new IP address. Then I opened Firefox in Private Browsing mode. When I searched youtube for "replace radiator" it auto-suggested "jeep cherokee" (my car) and "honda civic" (my parents car, which I occasionally work on).

Private Browsing isn't private! How do I protect myself from being uniquely identified by companies?

Can anyone point me to the firefox version 28 exe file fore windows?

I can find this link " https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ " but it lists a number for version 28s (28.0, .0b1/2/3.../9) and the sub-directories there are a mess of stuff that I have no idea where to go and what to get.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I updated to 29 and the GUI change is too much for me, so I installed a really old version of ff and am looking to update back to 28 until I feel like I want to adjust to 29.

I like to troll on Facebook like all with too much time on their hands. I've discovered something funny happening.

I have 2 laptops. One an XP dinosaur running Firefox (x86 newest 33.0?), the other running Nightly. I'm using Nightly now.

When I'm on Facebook on ol' trusty, I like to copy/paste emoticons (smileys) from other sites. This has always worked smoothly.

On my x64 Nightly, Facebook appears to run smoothly but the the "symbols" website won't allow me to copy. Just a small black square appears when I try to select an icon.

Here's the rub. Does the "broken" website behave so because I'm running Nightly - W8.1 and WTP, both x64. or is nightly unable to interpret the site correctly??

I have built a simple website (www.badtothebone.wtf). At the bottom of each page on the site, there is text "Call from your WebRTC enabled browser - " and below that a click2dial link - "http://click2dial.org/u/YWRtaW5AYmFkdG90aGVib25lLnd0Zg==". This works well and as intended on current Developer and Canary versions of Chrome and on Opera Developer. In Firefox Nightly 36.0a1 (2014-11-11) I can hear the destination ring after the "enabling the microphone" step, but there is no further audio in Firefox. Call logs indicate the call did connect to the destination (where a message is played and a message may be left).

I do not want to lose stored information such as bookmarks and pass codes so would unstalling and reinstalling cause me to lose that information? Flash player can't be user anymore, and updating flash player doesn't work either anymore. Only get a white screen on the adobe website.

I downgraded to 35.0 and tried the same thing. No Problem! Moved back to 35.0.1 , Problem! Moved back again, no Problem!

I read in the forums and googled it that tons of people have this Problem but Firefox says were are all dumb asses who don't know squad.

Since I really never ever have a problem, as sys admin I know my way around virtually any software and even write my own, I can confirm this is a problem caused by firefox, so please fix it and stop saying your users are simply not smart enough!

Fact is, smart or not, a plugin should simply work, without a user taking action or not, so, regardless of his her intelligence.

Running Firefox 37.0 on Windows XP. Today, the address bar (where you can type in web addresses) and the search bar are totally useless (with no search options available, not a Yahoo or Google in sight) . I have recently upgraded Firefox to 36 due to a runtime error on an earlier version. I am running Win XP with SP3, and also using Norton 360. After the upgrade the address bar does not work either by using the enter key, or the drop down menu of recent sites and selecting one. My bookmarks work as they should and I can go to any site that I have there. My Google home page works as it should and it will take me to any site from my homepage. I have tried using the Mozilla Firefox "safe start" method with no difference. I have also upgraded my Norton 360 with the latest changes and it's up date. I have "allowed" Mozilla Firefox in the Norton firewall configuration, but none of these things have had any effect on the problem. I have read, and tried, everything I could find regarding "address bar problems" but to no avail. I really like Firefox but this is becoming quite annoying and I don't want to go back to IE 8. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
