Just recently, I have had a problem clicking on links on web sites and just a day ago, I was unable to search mail in Google mail. The button in Google mail allowing me to see more options didn't work. Attempting to order groceries through Publix, I could not get the site to go to the the Instacart site. Going to the site directly seems to work. Some buttons on the Publix hosted site are not working. I am blind and use a screen reader. Thank you for any advice you may have for me.

This is something that never happened until this past week - around June 21. Videos start and play fine in YouTube, but after some time, it will pause and buffer for a few moments. It will eventually play again, but when it does, there is no sound anymore. I can't get the sound back in that tab. Refresh the tab, mute-unmute, volume down and up... nothing. At first, I would close and restart Firefox and the sound is back. Then I realized, just duplicating the tab will work. It plays sound again. I usually just drag the time bar to the point where it paused and keep watching from there. Until it does it again. And it always does it again if the video goes on long enough. Duplicate tab, drag to that last point and continue watching - wash, rinse and repeat until the video is done.

It pauses at random lengths of time - sometimes a half-minute in, sometimes 5 minutes in, but it always comes to a pause at some point in every video now. Before this past week, I had seen very few buffer pauses in YouTube, and when it did, I never lost the sound when it came back. Nothing on my PC has changed - other than the Windows Update to 21H1, but that was over a month ago.

Also, as a check, Edge browser does not exhibit this issue. I've played several 30 minute long YouTube videos just to check, and never once did I lose sound. I did get a brief buffering pause in one of them, but the sound came back when the video came back.

Thanks,

Hi

I'm trying to play Roblox on my laptop through Firefox. None of the games I click play on even try to load, they just say the message 'An error occurred trying to launch the experience. Please try again later.'

When I tried in Microsoft Edge (which I never use) the games launched fine.

I tried clearing cookies but that did not fix the issue.

Any ideas?

I've just set up a new Win 10 PC and I'm having trouble accessing google services from firefox. My gmail, calender and other sites keep losing connection, and if I try to navigate to google.com it simply doesn't go: no error message, no loading timeout, the tab just behaves as if I didn't ask it to go at all. All these problems are intermittent, but I'd guess I'm getting about 90% downtime.

I've found that I can solve this problem by cycling "Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates" under the security settings. When I disable this all the google services promptly work again for a little while, before failing. Then I reactive it, they come back online for a few minutes, then I need to disable it again to get another period of functionality.

I've already tried running in safe mode, disabling all my addons, reinstalling firefox, making sure it has an exception on my firewall, and enabling trackers on google. None of these have helped though. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I can't find any question on forums where cycling the OCSP servers has been necessary!

firefex 89.0.2 win 10: ff does not display all dropdown list boxes with 100% zoom factor on website ebay.de

on ebay.de, firefox does not display all drowdown-boxes wenn the zoom factor is 100% (but it does on some other values).

ebay.de displays some dropdown list boxes, after an article search has been performed, to filter search results, eg. "artikelstandort" = item location.

it depends on firefox' zoom factor if all of them a displayed or displayed correctly (on one line).

this seems to interfere with the column on the right, where ads are displayed.

see attached screenshoots.

My apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere:- Windoze 10 Toshiba Laptop, all up to latest revision, Firefox 89.02 64-bit

I maintain a small website written in pretty much basic HTML-5 and each week, have to update and upload a newsletter in .PDF format. Whilst ‘testing’ the website locally on my laptop, I open the html page, click on the link to the newsletter file, and after the usual “What should Firefox do with this file” I click on “open with Firefox” and then receive an error message:-

“[full path to filename] could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to disk first and then opening the file”

As soon as I upload to my hosting service this all works fine ‘online’ but Firefox refuses to open local .PDF’s. If I open with Adobe (default) it works fine. If I try to open any .PDF’s on my local drive, I get the same error. Opening a .PDF on any other ‘online’ website also works fine, just not local files? Any help appreciated.

When I open certain websites (e.g. Quora or gmail) and can normally browse through them, after a little while they stop loading. Pressing any link on these sites basically does nothing - no response (no error codes or anything else). Other browsers don't have this issue and I've disabled any extensions running on firefox. I have to close and reopen firefox in order to resume browsing of these sites (and after a few minutes I will observe the same problem with these sites). Just closing and reopening the tabs won't (temporarily) fix the problem; firefox itself has to restart.

I recently came across a problem with YouTube comments not loading on Firefox 89.0.2 (64-bit) but I see the infinite loop where the comments should be as if it is still loading . I have looked through the forum for solutions and none have helped. Before you guys go and waste both your and my time, I have tried restarting Firefox in safe mode, disabled adblock (in my case uBlock Origin), added the following exception in uBlock: 'www.youtube.com plus.googleapis.com * allow', and disabled all add-ons in Firefox to see if anyone of them were responsible. None of it has helped. Also the only thing new between comments loading normally in YouTube and now is a firefox update and nothing else; no new add-ons or filters for my adblock. What I need now is a different kind of solution or a work around other than the ones I mentioned above or changing my browser entirely.

I have the latest version of Firefox. Sites such as, Youtube, Dailymotion, Facebook and other sites that have playable video get interrupted for a second or two then continue with no sound. I refresh the page and still no sound. Closing Firefox and reopening works briefly and then it does it again. I refreshed Firefox, installed a new version but audio still cuts out. I've used Edge and videos play perfectly normal. No audio issues at all or interruptions in video. I've checked cable, speakers, various setting in Windows and all seems fine. I've played videos on Windows media player and VLC player and they work fine. It only seems to have issue while Firefox. Has anyone else run into this issue, and if so, is there a fix?

I am hoping that someone on these forums can help me, since it seems Pocket does not have its own help forum. Pocket has (suddenly, it seemed: today as far as I can tell) started appending "?utm_source=pocket_mylist" (for example "https://daringfireball.net/?utm_source=pocket_mylist") to the end of every single link I open from my list now (I find this absolutely maddening), or in the case of YouTube links, in the middle of the URL (for example "https://www.youtube.com/watch?utm_source=pocket_mylist&v=S_b0ndn5oIg"), and has stopped opening links in new tabs (again, this was fine until yesterday), meaning that if I was quite far down my article list, click a link but forget I now have to Ctrl+Click or Right-Click and then go back to the Pocket list, I have to scroll for a long time to get back to where I was.

This is, obviously, another one of those brain-dead examples of a product being "improved", whereby they made it materially worse. Unfortunately I do use Pocket a lot, so my question is if there is any way (something in about:config, or perhaps some add-on) to, in short, get it to cut this crap out (also known as "work")?

Thanks in advance.

Using Firefox v89.0.2 on a Mac. So I goggled something and then followed one of the results links in the Google results, but then when I wanted to Back Page to the Google results again, the Back Page was greyed out and I couldn't return. Is this a new feature that Firefox has put in or a bug, because it would be a pretty stupid feature. Anyone know?

Hello! Sometime, all grafics of a newsletter styled by wordpress were no longer displayed. When hovering over the white grafic space the cursor changed, and by clicking, the grafic will displayed in full size. Very strange is, that it is only and only this special one side having this problem? First switched off the add-ons, then uninstalled all of them, suspecting the cause of the add ons. No change. So using the clean up function, and actually the problem seemed solved, the grafics are displayed correct. - But only a minute as long as firefox is ready to restore certain settings automatically - the problem is back! Because of many bookmarks I need, I didn't dare to uninstall firefox befor, but also installed it new. No change. What can I do next if possible without losing my bookmarks and passwords? Perhaps another hint, the problem is only on my PC, this problem is not on my laptop with a nearly same firefox installation. Joachim

Many sites use a media query to provide different CSS for printed output.

For debugging and comparison purposes, it would be useful to retrieve the CSS and HTML that are producing the preview output I see in Firefox's internal print dialog. (This is especially challenging for sites that use JavaScript extensively to serve content.)

How can I accomplish this? (I'm using 89.0.2 (64-Bit) on Linux.)
