Image interactibility has changed since the last Firefox update.

It used to be I could do a Google search and I could click on the images on the main search result page (under the 'All' section, not the 'Images' section) and they would open in a new tab immediately.

Since the update when I click on an image it docks the image to the right...when I need it to open in a new tab.

If I can't get this fixed I will be going back to a previous version.

Help!

Windows 10 OS Build 19044.2251 Firefox version 107.0.1

I recently came across this [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1276091|question] when searching for a solution to unintentional detaching of tabs. The responses included mention of an addon as well as a new setting added in version 74 that sounded like the perfect solution for me by retaining the ability to detach a tab to a new window if explicitly requested via context menu.

I configured allowTabDetach to "false" but today had a tab unintentionally move to a new window because I clicked on a tab too quickly while the mouse was in motion. I'm not sure if there was a regression in behavior for this setting or if perhaps it does not combine well with the Tree Style Tab extension.

Since the last Firefox update to 108.01, or that is when I first noticed this problem. When I have many tabs open right to the end of the tab bar the new tab + disappears off the screen. The more tabs I open it does correctly automatically reduce the width of the tabs but pushes the + tab off to the right, this never use to happen before it always kept the new tab + in view.

I usually work with between four and twenty tabs open on a page in FireFox. Now what I see above the address bar where they used to be: Firefox Icon < button > button entire top under menu is empty where tabs used to be far right is a + for a new tab and a down button to give me a menu of tabs.

I want to see the tabs, even if they are squished or scrolled when I get a bunch of them.

The drop-down is not a bad addition but it should not replace the horizontal display!

I had two Firefox windows open. One had 100+ tabs open, the other had around 5 open. Like a klutz I accidentally closed the window with the 100+ tabs open instead of the other window. Now when Firefox restarts it opens the version with the 5 tabs.  :-( I read about lost tabs in Firefox. I have found a file with the 100+ tabs in it. It is called: upgrade.jsonlz4-20221007134813. But what do I do next to restore Firefox to restart with the 100+ tabs version? Thanks.

Tabs, history, bookmarks, basicly anything and everything that was crucial are gone, seemingly after recent update. I had similar problem a couple of month ago and didn't find clear solution back then, but it all got sorted out maybe in couple of days (probably with next update or something?). Well who would've thought i would get screwed like that a second time.

So i can't tell for sure whats caused it or how it got fixed. What i manged to figure out both times this happend is that somehow i have 2 versions of Firefox Profiles judgin by the dates of the cursed updates. So i guess my stuff is still there but i can't acces it.

Also worth mentioning is that both times i've got screwed by updates, my FF shortcuts from Quick Acces pannel stoped working and i needed to drag'n'drop em all over again.

Im at totall loss here, i know the info i've provided is almost nonexistant but if anyone knows whats up i would be greatly apreciative if you could tell how do i fix this and prevent it from happening in the future.

I can't understand why the Windows menu shows us all the open windows, in no order whatsoever. Not chronological or alphabetical, just random placements, making finding anything a dizzying & time consuming experience, as I have to look up and down each & every time. I don't know of any other browser that gives no option as to how to sort this lis.

Firefox updated and now my tabs are above the address bar, I hate it. I have went through all the information I could and created a new chrome folder, downloaded the css and changed user preferences but it sets the tabs to the bottom of the screen not just below the address bar. I think I need a different set of code for the css but cant find a copy. Does anyone know what to do?

Hi

Running Firefox 71.0 (64 bit)

Well seems Firefox has been messing this up again.

Anyone have the new work around solution to get my tabs back on the bottom again. They were fine this morning then shut down and went out to lunch and when I came back they were back on the top again after months of being where I wanted them below my bookmark bar.

Thoughts on this?

Thanks Dave

Adding New Tab

When the tabs reach capacity on the browser window, you can no longer hit "+" to add a new tab. You have to <right click> and select "add new tab".

Hello at Mozilla Support,

I'm having this issue where sometimes, when I double-click to download a link or open a downloads item, it opens the same bookmark page instead. This is the page, and not sure if it's alphabetical, since this pages starts with an 'a' "https://authorspublish.com/#optin" Wondering how I can get this to stop changing the page I am on and opening the bookmark.

Thanks, Sonya

In fully updated Windows 10 (x64), running either 64-bit or 32-bit Firefox, the tab bar in the current Release channel of Firefox disappears. No changes have been made to the Firefox profile on my computer, including no edits in CSS, etc. (I never bother with such things). Updating to 108 and higher causes the tab bar to disappear. In 108+, a single tab appears "somewhere" at the bottom of the window (its location appears to be random), and the New Tab button ("+") is gone as well. Disabling all extensions has no effect. Reverting back to 107.0.1 (either 32-bit or 64-bit) fixes the problem. This situation has been tested several times with the same result every time. Consequently, I have edited the Firefox registry policy to disable updating so I can run 107.0.1 without constantly getting the Firefox "nag window." Any thoughts on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

So, a preface. I rarely used this PC of mine, and thus the Firefox is rarely used as well. When i installed it, i turned on the option 'Open previous windows and tabs'.

Then, once I opened up some kind of offline documentations from Libre Office or Latex, which opened in Firefox. You know, the one where there is no tab appeared, and it just seems like a single pop-up window. I closed it without thinking.

Long enough, i forgot about that and opened up Firefox only to be met with that docs again. Okay, i closed it. But Firefox always started in this kind of pop-up window style ever since (attached). Changing the preference, even deleting the profile doesn't seem to do a thing.

Any recommendation to return Firefox to its original set?
