Hardly any webpages load anymore. Constantly getting error message. Do not get those messages with Microsoft Edge or Chrome. Can't search for financial institutions, car part stores or hardly anything anymore. I don't believe Firefox can be trusted anymore. Is their a Data Breech in progress with them? I am tired of seeing:

I was using Video Download Helper to download some YouTube videos. Suddenly, it stopped this evening. The button would remain grey. I tried using another LinkedIn video, and it worked, but it did not work with any YouTube video links. I have been having an issue with Firefox opening certain websites and unfortunately my self and other friends are forced to use Chrome. It is even difficult to contact anyone at Mozilla on this issue. If we Mozilla doesn't show concern we will easily make the complete transition over to Chrome. This is the fourth time I asked for help and have tried trouble shooting the issue from posts listed. We are sick and tired of trying to get this issue resolved and have been with Firefox for over ten years. Does anyone at Mozilla care? No phone numbers, no direct contact? Why the hiding? Obviously we are all pissed off about this issue.

I try to install Firefox directly from the Mozilla repository.

For that, I read the article "Install Firefox on Linux" and followed the install instructions in first chapter "Debian-based distributions" step-by-step. (article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux)

Unfortunately, with every attempt to install Firefox, the Firefox LinuxMint (Ubundu) package will be still installed. The command to priorise the Mozilla repository seems to have no influenace.

How can I prevent/avoid using the LinuxMint/Ubundu repository? I wan't to install and update Firefox direct from Mozilla source.

I'm using Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base (Ubuntu 24.04 noble)

When I press a hotkey that involves Ctrl (ie. opening a new Tab via Ctrl+T or closing one via Ctrl+W) Ctrl sometimes remains stuck until I press it again. This will cause issues ie. when I open a new tab and try to type a new address (or search term), and Ctrl causes new hotkeys to be executed.

I've even tried launching firefox with a new profile, and on safe mode (firefox --safe-mode -p <something-else-than-usual>), so no bookmarks, cookies or extensions should be causing this, and it will still happen sometimes. The annoying part is that this seems to be an issue with performance. It happens less-often with the empty profile and safe mode, but it still happens, especially if I had just opened a new page some tab, causing the most minute thing for firefox to process.

The problem is probably not the computer specs either (below my specs). Indeed, from what I can tell, firefox does not even seem to function particularily slow in any case. Just this ctrl being stuck seems to happen.

I have also tried disabling hardware-acceleration (and explicitly enabling it), no effect.

Other interesting facts I've discovered: - This for sure does not happen in other programs and - This does not happen with the Ctrl for all the keybinds within firefox. For example, Ctrl+A (for select all) does not trigger this

(I have no idea why it's reporting that I'm using Sway, I'm most certainly only using labwc, maybe labwc just reports sway for some programs for compatibility) I've installed firefox from pacman, and my current version is firefox 134.0.1-1

I'm afraid I cannot continue using Firefox, after the last change, since I can no longer keep my tabs open after closing a session, as I specified in the settings: "Open previous windows and tabs." Can someone help?

Please 🙏 I am tired of the same thing nothing changes I will get control over my podcast and Cash app pay pal and they take it right back I truly know who's doing this where do I start

I went to my favorite web site this morning (dpreview/forums) and when it displayed I must have accidentally clicked some Firefox thing because the page was then overlaid with a thin orange highlight with the word PICK on it. I tried moving the cursor off the page but it only changed which segments of the page were highlighted. So I clicked and the page was replaced by just the menu section of the page, apparently that was what was highlighted when I clicked.

Now, no matter what I do, when I try to go to that url only the menu is displayed, the normal list of forums is missing. I've restarted FF. I've rebooted. I've cleared cookies and cache. I've refreshed the page. Nothing helps. Other web sites are fine. I can't imagine what this is for. A diagnostic tool or accessibility thing perhaps.

Please help. I'm running latest FF on latest Win 11.

I am looking for a way to adjust the settings, or really anything else, in a way that would result in the site being displayed like it should be because it is a rather integral part of the game and I really don't know where else to look anymore. Now, I suspect that it's because I switched to Ubuntu because I've never had this issue with Firefox while I still used Windows, but I really hope there's a way to resolve this. That being said, it seems to be specific to Firefox for Ubuntu because the colors show up in the menu when I use Opera on the same OS.

The four images I've added should show what I'm talking about (I really don't have a way to phrase this any better, sorry) and I really want Firefox to display the drop down menu like it is supposed to look: the colors themselves underneath the text. (it looks like Firefox on mobile now if that is any help in figuring out where to start, but I don't see why it would fail to show the site correctly on desktop)

Edit: It occurs to me that I probably should list what I've tried already. - disabled enhanced tracking protection - checked my settings (colors are not overwritten) - tried it with a new profile - disabled all extensions - reinstalled Firefox

Hi, I have noticed that for the last three weeks, i have been unable to access Whatsapp web using the Firefox, is there a problem? While using other browsers, the whatsapp web is accessible. Please rectify that coz firefox is my default browser. Thank you.

"Your account has been locked for security reasons" I use 2 computers on this account. My home office and a laptop I use on the go. There is nothing that says where I can verify my account. I have a particularly infuriating problem. A few weeks back, Firefox stopped displaying my usernames and passwords whenever I wanted to log into a site. This coincided with my installing BitDefender, although I don't know why.

Through googling I eventually realised I could go into about:config to fix this. signon.rememberSignons displays as false, when I turn it to true it fixes the issue.

But here is the problem I can't solve. Everytime I restart firefox or my PC / Mac (I am using both, with a syncronised account on both windows and MacOS) it sets signon.rememberSignons to false AGAIN. Which means every single time I browse I have to go into about:config and fix this. Maddening.

Please can you help?
