Every time I used Firefox, my preferred browser, I get the following message -

"Software is Preventing Firefox From Safely Connecting to This Site

nordvpn.com is most likely a safe site, but a secure connection could not be established. This issue is caused by NordVPN S.A. -ThreatProtection, which is either software on your computer or your network."

- and then prevents me from any browsing. Why does this happen? 

How do I stop/prevent it in the future? Or do I just delete NordVPN and cancel my subscription?

Bonjour. Depuis longtemps j'utilise Firefox Portable dand un bac à sable(SandBoxie-Plus). Depuis la dernière mise à jour Firefox plante, affiche incomplétement ou pas du tout la page. Je signale que sans le bac à sable Firefox fonctionne normalement. Actuellement je suis sur "WATERFOX" portable (version mai 2025) qui a l'air de fonctionner normalement.

I use Bitdefender as antivirus program. When I start up Firefox the antivirus program blocks the start up because it says Firefox is trying to access a program (sync.contextualadv.com) which does not have same authentification as the target. It gives me choice to accept this as an exception if I want. I don't understand the details but I don't want to allow this to proceed until I'm sure it is safe. I'm on an HP computer running Windows 11. I use firefox on another laptop running Windows 10 and have not had this problem.

Every time I open Firefox, Avast alerts me about a malicious website. It's always fyabyq.com. It only happens when I first open Firefox. Opening a new window or opening a private browser does not trigger it. I've cleared all cookies, performed a refresh, reinstalled Firefox, checked all my notifications for fyabyq.com, and tried using another browser. Firefox is the only one that gives me the alert. My best guess is it's a homepage add or news article causing it. Anyone know how to fix this?

Over the past 2 versions, I am having issues accessing a Linux Webmin (port 10000) site while using a VPN. I have no issue accessing this site when not over the VPN (on site) and I have no issue accessing the site while over VPN using another browser. Very strange issue.

Lost all of my bookmarks. Error message reads: "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." I have been a Firefox user for years and years. I am having to leave because I cannot resolve this new issue. Can you help?

I am using AdGuard Windows App but the app does not work well with Firefox. There are long page loading delays on many sites (TLS handshakes, etc.) while I do not have this issue with other browsers. I have installed the AdGuard certificate, have disabled DOH in Firefox, but still the problem. The only solution is to turn off HTTPS filtering in the AdGuard Windows app which then defeats many of the protections normally afforded by the AdGuard Windows app. I understand that there is a long history of Firefox not playing well with AdGuard Windows app so I am hoping/wondering if there is some solution on the horizon?

When trying to visit some websites the connected server returns timeout in Firefox. Attempting exactly the same site from out Edge it answers at once.

The machine is a up to date Windows11 pc with an active Mozilla VPN.

Should I change some settings? How can I find out the reason?

Hi, I have been trying all day to get my Trend Micro program working on my Firefox browser, including Password manager. These programs work ok on MS Edge browser, but I can't get it to work on my Firefox browser

It can take many closing clicks to get rid of this warning and comes back again after a short while. What should I do? Tried searching with Malwarebytes itself and found no problems. Web search the same.

Hi. I did a clean install of Windows 11 yesterday. I reinstalled Firefox with the TreeStyletabs addon. I had saved the old sessionstore files so I thought it would be easy to get my tabs back.

Two things happens.

1) If I copy over a sessionstore.jsonlz4 to the profilefolder, it gets overwritten byt FireFox when I start the browser. 2) If I don't do that and instead click History and then Restore Previous Session Firefox will use the previousjsonlz4 and restore my tabs . But I have to do it everytime I start Firefox. It does 'remember' what I did.

How can I fix this?

In Windows 11 taskbar items are as wide as the text label. I want them all shorter (narrower). See how steam and whatsapp are not as wide as firefox? Is there any way to remove or change the website site text description labels in Firefox?
