HI FIREFOX! Many websites are not readable. I can see these correctly in Safari. I tried getting the latest Firefox updates. It did not fix the issues. Bizarrely, I can paste into another application and read the gobblity gook. So I think it is just a font issue. I really do not want to go back to Safari. Poshmark and Fedex are the two websites I experienced issues with today. Fedex would not interact properly with Firefox but I could find my tracking information on Safari. I have had the problem previously but did not have time to look into it that day. 16" Macbook Max M1 running Monterey

the activity monitor on my mac shows cpu usage at almost 100% when firefox is active. with safari cpu @ about 15% or less. seems to slow the mac considerably. how to fix?

Tabs to not reliably reopen after closing Firefox. The latest occurrence, but not the only one, was after updating macOS 13 on a Mac Mini M1 using current version of FireFox.

I have read multiple help pages and double and triple checked settings. My work around has been to Bookmark All Open Tabs each time I close FireFox or shutdown the Mac - doable but a nuisance.

Suggestions appreciated

The type face on my iMac has gone super small. So small I can barely read it. How to I return the type face for all programs to a readable size?

I am guessing this is a settings issue, but I cannot find a solution. I cannot see the social sharing icons on my website when in Firefox on my Mac. I can see them in Safari. What's the deal?

Hi I'm on Ios I forgot a password so went to keychain access where I can normally find saved passwords. It wasn't there. I then went to Firefox preferences and found it there, for copying. There was no password required. That means if I leave my computer on and someone comes past, they can look at saved passwords, and that is a real security issue. I may stop using firefox because of this. Is there a setting to make it more secure? Cheers Martin

Hi all, I'm having an issue that I've seen mentioned over several years and without a workable solution - I'm at the point of having to transfer all my browser usage to chrome and abandon my beloved firefox. The issue has been 'answered' by advanced users to tell people to 'inspect' which font is the issue then check local systems font book for corrupted/duplicate fonts: however this is not a satisfactory response. Context: see screen shot attached for what the jibberish looks like, and a point in the 'inspect' view that I believe (guessing) is involved. System: Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit), MacOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) on Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2020, 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5). This same websites do not have any issue on the same computer viewed on Chrome or Safari. Nor is there any problem on my iPhone on the iOS firefox browser.

Firstly this is not a user-friendly solution for most people, I'm afraid. Opening the inspect viewer is mindboggling for anyone who doesn't code and even for people who do some programming but not for websites (like me), it isn't exactly self-explanatory. I think I've managing to find examples that indicate 'Roboto' seems to be consistently involved in the display issue. Secondly, the step for 'fixing' the font that is the culprit - my local system indicates that all fonts are valid and there are no duplicates. I haven't installed manually Roboto as I'm uncertain where to 'safely' get the font from and my computer is owned and managed by my workplace - with overly strict administration/security rules so if I f-up a download of something dodgy my IT service will blacklist me and revoke my admin access... ** which would mean I'd be unable to do my job!**. I wondered if perhaps there is some security setting due to that, which stops website from loading the fonts they choose? From previous 'solutions' it said that having Firefox preference set to "allow websites to choose their own fonts..." should mean the websites can load as needed. If indeed I must manually download fonts for each and every instance that Firefox fails to display text legibly that is equivalent to Firefox being unusable. I'm clearly frustrated and it's because I love FIrefox and the ethos behind it all so leaving for Chrome would be very sad indeed! Help and a solution for normal users would be so very much appreciated. Also where can I properly lodge this issue with peeps who fix things? There are issues of this kind going back years and for both Windows and Mac Systems so it's not a one-off problem but a recurring one! Hi, I had been using FF for about 3 years without any issues. Then today, the browser was refreshed updated (I dont know what the exact term is) but since the new browser I have lost all of my history, my saved websites, my extensions etc etc etc . I was under the impression that these can be retrieved, can they as I would really like to be able to reload all of my extensions, but this doesnt seem possible now. Can you advise, why this occured and how I can retrieve the lost information? Thankyou

I cannot access my firefox browser on my Macbook Pro. I've deleted and re-installed the app twice. I also get a prompt attached every time I try to open the application.

Hi,

I cannot paste text (such as texts from Word-docs or links) while using the WhatsApp web application in Firefox. My ad-blocker for Firefox has been turned off, and all settings under the lock-logo are set on default. When I clear cookies and site date, it works for a while, but then stops working. It's quite annoying, since I use WhatsApp a lot, also for work related purposed, sharing links etc all the time.

Any idea what the problem is and how I could solve it?

Hi,

I have no problems with my Firefox instances on Android and Linus but on MacOS, it's a nightmare! I suspect it's a synchronisation matter because, on OS, it constantly, constantly is askin for me to log-in but neither my OS pssword nor Firefox (master password) are accepted. I'm loathe to reset my password because I really do not think it will make any difference.
