Keyboard shortcuts - Perform common Firefox tasks quickly when filtered for Firefox 84 and Mac reads that to move from one frame within a page to another you press F6. However, when I am on a page that has frames and I press F6, the cursor moves to the location bar. How do I change the focus from one frame to another?

I checked my system preferences for Keyboard (Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts and checked all the items and I have no shortcut set to F6, so it appears that F6 would be using Firefox's settings for that shortcut.

Hi Mozilla, I write this message here since I can't find a good place to contact you (bugzilla.mozilla.org maybe?)

Anyway, I'm a huge fan of everything you do and how you do it, and I don't hesitate from time to time to donate to the foundation.

I'm aware that most of your products and services are free, and therefore you need more resources than only donation.

The reason why I send this message, it's because I think you could add a new (paid) service to your list. A reliable and robust MX mail server system, that we could rent each month.

I'm actually renting 2 Cloud VPS, and my biggest issue was to have a trustable mail server that would not look suspicious for spam filters (spam assassin, Google etc).

That's the only reason why I pay a Google Suite every month.. to have a reliable and solid @mydomain email, and be sure my emails will be delivered every time. But I would totally prefer to give you this money better than them.

I know there's other solutions already, but I think it make sense for Mozilla to have this service, since emails and mail servers are very sensitive regarding privacy, personal data etc. and we all trust you more than Google empire.

I don't know if you can read this, but please tell me if there's a better place to send this message.

Thank you very much, Long life to Mozilla, all the best,

Phil

I noticed a strange problem on my iMac after installing the latest version of Firefox 84.0. When I attempt to download multiple image files via the "Page Info" Media tab, the download appears to initiate, but then gets stuck. It doesn't even appear in the Downloads window either, but I know it's processing invisibly in the background because when I quit Firefox I get the message "you have 1 active download. do you want to quit?" I tried this on several websites just to see if maybe one website was the issue, but it happens everywhere. However, when I download one single image at a time, that file seems to download immediately without any issue, and appears in the Downloads window. I rebooted Firefox in safe mode to see if there was an add-on or extension causing the issues, but I still have the problem. I even reset my Downloads folder using the config settings. The downloads worked fine when I was using 83.0. Anyone have idea what the problem might be?

Firefox won't stay downloaded to my computer. I am having to download it multiple times, especially if my computer has updates.

On a separate note, when it does actually stay on my computer over night, it never keeps me signed in to my Firefox account. I have to log in to it daily to have my bookmarks and passwords.

Also, it never remembers the theme I have picked for it. I would love some advice on how to fix this.

I've read through a ton of articles, and I can't seem to find a fix.

Hello! I’ve got a very strange problem with Firefox. After launching it, everything is fine, but after a while of use (some minutes, some hours - it’s completely different), the letters change and all the content of the visited website is completely unreadable (see attached screenshot). When closing Firefox and launching it again, the problem has gone, but not for long ... My system: Mac Pro Mid 2010, OS High Sierra, 12GB RAM, Graphic card AMD Radeon HD 7970 3072 MB.

All the others applications (like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Safari etc.) are running without any problem. Is there anyone having an idea how to solve the problem finally? Thank you & Best regards Dietrich

Hi, Firefox update 84 ,(for mac), has limited/disabled the function of my Bookmarks widget on the toolbar. Normally when I bookmark, a menu of folders is presented so I can file appropriately. After the update, the bookmark is dropped automatically into the "Other" section without allowing me to direct it to the correct file, and which I must then find and manually file. This adds an entire extra tedious step and I wonder is it a bug or some other incompatibility? Thank you.

Lately I've come to realize that when you copy/paste an image directly out of Firefox there's a distinct color shift (it's lighter and desaturated) when you paste that image into a graphics program like Photoshop. If you manually save the image and then open it in Photoshop, there is no color shift. If you copy/paste the same image from Chrome or Safari and paste it into Photoshop there is no color shift and it looks great. It would greatly improve my workflow if I could figure out how to fix this.

In the attached image you'll see the original image saved from Firefox with "save image as..." and on the right the same image copy & pasted into Photoshop. I do not think this is a color management/profile issue in Photoshop, as copying from a variety of other sources doesn't cause the shift.

I moved from Chrome to Firefox this summer. Firefox on my MacBook Air worked fine until about three weeks ago, when many pages I regularly visited just fine previously stopped loading, loaded slowly, or loaded but many of the forms and buttons/links didn't work.

I'm running the latest version of Firefox. Before I try any of their recommended methods like refreshing, I wanted to see if this is a common thing and will hopefully be fixed in the next update, as I'd prefer not to set everything up again from scratch.

All of the pages that I've had problems with work fine in Chrome still, and I didn't make any changes to any Firefox or extension settings before this happened.

The two main extensions I use that I could see interfering with pages are uBlock Origin and HTTPS everywhere, but I didn't make changes to those and had been running them for months, since I started using Firefox again.

Thanks for reading and for any guidance that will help prevent me from effectively starting over.

While using Firefox on Mac in fullscreen mode, trying to select a different tab by moving the pointer to the topmost position is a really annoying process. 90% of the times, I get the menu bar (which is hidden in the full screen mode, which is fine) jumping down and covering the tabs. To select the tabs without the menu bar interfering, I need to be extra careful while using the pointer! I find this annoying. I went back to Chrome to see how it is managed. Chrome actually resizes the window and takes the tab one position down, when the menu bar pops out, in the full screen mode. Not sure if it is the best workaround, but at least it works, and is much better than what Firefox does. Any setting to overcome this?

Firefox seems to partially freeze on my new MacMini M1 (2020) running MacOs Big Sur 11.1; I have the latest version of Firefox (84.0). It seems to happen when I log into my mac again after it's gone into sleep / screensaver mode. Firefox isn't completely unresponsive, I can still do some things, but for example: I can't enter text into the search-box, and other parts of Firefox seem unresponsive too (but it's nog 'completely' frozen. Closing and re-opening Firefox fixes it. Anyone else having this problem?

This has been mentioned before. But depending on the setup of the website when in responsive design mode the website loads flashing and take a long time to stop flashing before it can be viewed properly.

This flashing happens again when using the buit in screen shot tool.

This is one of the key things that bothers me about using Firefox - otherwise its a really solid browser with great features and speed.
