Firefox always crashes when I download a file. After that, when I reinstalled firefox again, the situation did not go away, but it was fixed only after restarting the computer.
I wonder if this was due to hardware or software error? I recently renewed some computer parts.

This morning Firefox decided to block my website! I have spent hours now attempting everything the tutorials have laid out to fix this but I'm still getting error 403 msg. Have repeatedly cleared history and am almost in tears. Spent many days to have this website perfected for my business and now I can't even access it on Firefox - which was up until today the only browser I use on my pc, ipad or phone for years now. Please help! Sincerely, Almost In Tears Here aka Stefanie H.

After an update earlier this year I began having the cursor freeze when I was typing in any text field such as in Gmail compose.
Even as I type in this field it has occurred. I was using backspace to edit out a phrase. The cursor remained at the left as ~15 characters were removed. Then both the keyboard and cursor commands ceased to be executed. For ~3 minutes the screen remains locked with the cursor separated from the trailing text by those 15 blank spaces. Then all "stored commands" are executed. During the lockup I am able to use touchscreen to open all other applications, but can not close.
I am in 94.0.2 as I use your auto update setting. I used "refresh" without remedy. I even uninstalled Foxfire, closed the laptop, restarted, and performed a fresh install. The only plugins are the one you install and one from google.
I am now using another browser for all my email work! Frankly, it is apt to become my default if I cannot resolve this aggravation.
Looking forward to your suggestions/tips. Let me know if I can supply further information.
Peace/Out

Earlier, when I activated the search field with the Ctrl + K key combination, it was possible to go far back, by rolling back to the previous words (characters). After the update, it almost stopped working. I press Ctrl + Z and nothing happens. As if the browser "forgot" which characters were entered earlier. I haven't made any changes to the settings after the update. Help.

I am running Firefox 94.0 in a couple of Linux Mint systems.
My main desktop computer, with a 3.8 GHz 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 processor on an MSI B450-A PRO MAX MB with 16 GB RAM, has had Linux Mint 19.3 installed for over a year. Just today, Firefox, which has also been installed in this OS for a long time, exhibited extreme slowness. I did an online search, and found that the slowness was cured by using the Troubleshoot Mode, but none of the suggestions I found solved the problem in normal mode. So, I went into Settings and turned off hardware acceleration. That solved the problem, somewhat ironically. The hardware acceleration seemed to accomplish deceleration instead. So my browser works, but there is something wrong with hardware acceleration in Firefox.
On a new install of Linux Mint 20.04, I recently experienced frequent crashing of Firefox just after clicking on a link. I tried online solutions, which didn't help, but then I turned off - - guess what - - hardware acceleration, and no more crashes. That is what motivated me to turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox on my Linux Mint 19.3 machine today.
I don't really have a problem to solve, but I don't know of a better place to submit a bug report, so I am hoping you will pass this on to the developers.

It happened during visiting my bank site, reading an article on NPR site, opening an email, etc. None of the freezes happened during start up, but the showed up at various times some within 10 minutes of browsing time. some after 3 hours of browsing.

Hello there
I have a small NAS with various video files on it. Some AVI which work flawless but also some MOV which show but do not play audio.
Other chromium based Browsers manage to do so without any problems therefore it should be possible somehow.
Informations regarding the file: Filetype: MOV Codec: MP4 Base w/ AVC ext (ISO 144496-12:2005) Channels: 2 compressor: sowt Sample rate: 48khz Depth: 24bit Bit rate: 16
It was recorded with a Nikon D3200 camera.
As I am hosting these Files for other people I always get requests on why it does not work in Firefox.
I love Firefox and I want People to use it but such things just make in unnecessarly hard to do so.
I have experienced great business support from the Mozilla team, hope this to be true for home users too.
Thanks beforehand and have a nice evening.
I want peacock but my firefox is 78.15 and i need like 88

PS off topic: the "developer" area of Mozilla is quite painful to handle and reach. I'm always pushed/forwarded back over here. Also the sophisticated 2way-auth seems a bit overkill for posting on a forum .

I have tried everything and cannot manage to load any webpage that prompts a reCAPTCHA. The tab immediately crashes.
1- I've tried several webpages. They all work well until a reCAPTCHA pops up, the tab crashes and creates a dump file 2- I tried uninstalling Firefox, including erasing profiles and all Mozilla folders then reinstalling, and selecting refresh. It sill happens. No addons or extensions, and HW acceleration on and off 3- The problems goes away if I run Firefox on Troubleshooting Mode
Version is 94.0.2 (64 bit) running on Windows 10 21H1 on an i7 1165G7
Am I missing something? Is there a way to do a cleaner install?
Thanks for the help!

As the subject says, when attempting to upload images from my computer (Ubuntu 20.04 on Firefox 94), often but not always, the result will be a visual glitch similar to the image attached. The only time which I have ever used Zoom on Firefox, the same issue happened when I tried to use my webcam, except that the lines rapidly changed colours.
I apologize if this issue has been solved in another thread, but this is a bit hard to describe without the picture, so my attempts to search for said thread were unsuccessful.
The issue is not present when I upload the images in question via mobile. Turning off my extensions has no effect.
The image attached is taken directly from attempting to upload a profile picture to my Firefox account, but I have experienced this issue with websites like Twitter and Ebay for example. I have never had this issue with Imgur, for example, even though I am doing nothing different (uploading images). I do not know why this only occurs for a select few websites.
Any responses or help is appreciated!
