When clicking on a link that does not include "www." in the URL, I am presented with an error SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN. But the certificate is good. the problem was the URL that did not include the "www."

This would be an easy fix! Just add "www." to the URL if it is missing. It could eliminate user confusion if they do not understand.

Just a suggestion

I was using Firefox 98.0.2, and it was good, saw there was an update to 99.0.1, so I updated. Next thing I know, ALL of my extensions are disabled, and I cannot install any from addons.mozilla.org because of an error message from there saying addon is corrupted

all the addons I installed from addons.mozilla.org were working JUST FINE a MINUTE AGO, then this happens. What, the HFIL is going on mozilla, why did you break the browser just now?

This is my story. Digital affairs are serious problems for a marriage, although sometimes, they are also a symptom of underlying problems. Either way, you may quickly end up needing a divorce lawyer’s assistance if you do not put a fast halt to what is happening. Previously, traditional notions of infidelity required an actual physical relationship between an unfaithful spouse and their romantic partner. Thanks to the chxhack @gmailcom who helped me to dig into the communications of my husband platforms like his phone and social media, that i discovered that he was hacking extra affair and i got all the records of the communications and i was able to save my marriage. therefore if you are experiencing such worries get intouch with above. thank you.

Hello

I have just updated firefox 103.0 64bits on my pc windows 10. And bigs bugs : all web pages became huge zoomed at around 150 - 160% !

I managed to fix the huge zoom problem by installing this firefox extension : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/zoom-page-we/?utm_content=addons-manager-reviews-link&utm_medium=firefox-browser&utm_source=firefox-browser

and setting all web pages to 90% zoom with it. But this is not a solution because firefox has to fix this bug since this update! :(

And the toolbar has become much higher, which decreases my screen height, it was better before! :( See my screenshot where i circled in red the height of the toolbar which has become higher! :(

even the tab bar has become higher! :( i managed to reduce it a little in height thanks to a code that i inserted in the file userChrome.css ,but the result is not beautiful : the texts are too flush with the line ( see my screenshot where i circled in blue the tab bar that i reduced with code in userChrome.css )

When I open gmail in Firefox browser, I lose the connection very often, it also happens with google drive. But it does not happen to me if I use Outlook from the web, I only lose the connection with Google from Firefox.

However, if I open the same thing using Google Chrome, this does not happen, it works correctly throughout the day, and I do not lose the connection.

My version of Firefox is 100.0.2 (64-bit) on my notebook I have Windows 10 Pro installed.

I am pasting this video link first to show exactly is happening when I use Google Images Search results. https://youtu.be/HD-GPkORQPA

This happened suddenly. Everything was fine when I last used google image results, I was playing a game and when I alt+tabbed to search for something, this was happening. I have no idea what could have caused it since I didn't install any new extensions, CSS styles, programs in my PC nor any big changes that would give me an idea of where to start.

I already tried disabling all the extension and that didn't help at all. The only way I've managed to make this stop, was when I opened a private window. There the image search results were fine and I could zoom in, and out and no weird scrollbar issues were happening.

I went back to a normal window in Firefox, and noticed that if I log out from my Google account, this will also fix the issue. And when I logged back in, the issue was happening again.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen, and how I can fix it? Thank you!

Greetings:

First experienced: Friday, Sept 2, when using burpsuite/foxyproxy during a hackerone CTF.

When using other Vbox instances on the same computer I have the same issue. This issue is usually easy to duplicate when using dev-tools or by simply doing an image search and moving the mouse across the images.

Host: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS 5.15.0-47-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Two different VGA controllers are present: Intel CometLake-S GT2 AMD/ATI Ellesmere Radeon RX

VirtualBox: 6.1.34_Ubuntu r150636 (Qt5.15.3) VirtualBox VGA: VMware SVGA II Adapter

Guest: Kali 2022.3 rolling 5.18.0-kali5-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 5.18.5-1kali6

Crashes have seem to involve input from the mouse and scroll function within the browser. Once, let us call it a glitch, the crash can either take place while continually moving the mouse around the browser's page or immediately outside the page with the mouse. The "glitch" is a coloration, usually pink or lime-green with characters printed to screen and then disappears. I have been unable to predict when the glitch will happen, thus no screenshot to help.

Steps I have taken:

Googled on the problem which led me to learn about the Firefox about:crashes function.

Viewed about:crashes -- seems to be a Renderer issue linked to llvmpipe or Mesa?

Checked basic system logs for host and guest for anything evident: syslog, kern, Xorg, messages, dmesg, daemon, journalctl.

Used Firefox troubleshooting and extended troubleshooting.

Installed Firefox 104 with same issue.

Reinstalled VirtualBox.

Search on Firefox Renderer issue [from crash report]

I turned off performance settings, still have same crash issue.

Last Report ID that did not fail to upload: bp-740acc47-0ed4-44a8-851c-ff21b0220905

Ultimately, I am unsure if this is a Firefox, VirtualBox, or Kali Linux issue, but Firefox is the one that this issue is having a severe impact on. My head is spinning at this moment due to all the logs and information I have digested over the weekend.

I appreciate any efforts in helping me decipher what is going on!

Respectfully,

Steve

I got mad at a website that wouldn't let me right click menu to save pictures, so I stubbornly saved them via less efficient means, in the process I picked up the Long Screenshot extension and this had an error shortly before or after I had an issue with Lightshot not appearing, other extensions did not appear either when I added them during this time period, but now these all appear with the exception of Lightshot, which gets deleted and reinstalled only to not appear, that of course being the problem, though I will also say that a right click menu not being there is like reaching onto my computer and pulling my finger away, sites that do that should be given the cold shoulder somehow, at least.

Hello,

After installing Firefox (103.0.2) on a clean install of Manjaro (21.3.7) Gnome (42.4), I started noticing that mouse hover effects such as highlighted tabs, UI of a video-player appearing etc. are delayed after my PC exits hibernation (I am not sure if that is the only cause and if that really IS the cause). Weirdly enough the select menu I used to answer the "Which topic best describes your question?" question to create this post experiences no delay in highlighting the hovered element. Relaunching Firefox fixes this issue temporarily.

To be clear this is no performance issue since everything except mouse hover related interactions are fluid.

Thanks for helping out

Since the latest (5 May 2022) update to Firefox (to Firefox 100.0) my Gmail account does not work properly on my desktop running W11. Gmail frequently disconnects for varying periods, then reconnects, only to disconnect again almost immediately. Gmail will not let me open another account from within the current account. This does not happen on my Android phone where Gmail works properly. Neither does it happen when I run Gmail through Edge on my desktop. Hence I presume it results from an interaction between Firefox100.0 and Gmail. My wife has exactly the same problem using her Microsoft Surface Laptop under W10 since this latest update.

When I load a page the first time, everything loads normally. Then if I refresh the page with CTRL-R, resources on the page (such as .js files) very often (seemingly 75% of the time) only partially load and therefore parse errors occur in the console. To reload a page, I have to hit CTRL-SHIFT-R to bypass cache and then the page loads normally again. I can also just launch the page in a private window (this loads properly), close the window and launch it again in another private window (this loads perfectly still) but it's becoming a chore to juggle with private windows only to reload a page I'm working on. I can see the resources loaded under the NETWORK tab in the console but they don't seem to be available to the page renderer or something.

Is this a bug in v100.0.2 or was I only having a bad weekend and all of this is just a random glitch that will go away soon? I've never had a problem like this with any previous Firefox releases (even v100.0) and I've used FF for approximately 15 years. It immediately began to happen after the v100.0.2 update!

What I have done so far:

- Exit out of Firefox and launch it again. - Rebooted the computer. - Site Information > Clear Cookies & Site Data - Waited 2 days for another FF release in case this was a bug and it rapidly got fixed (no update rolled out since). - Help > More Troubleshooting Information > Clear Startup Cache

Am I going crazy or?

Firefox browser opens minimized - about half size. Support article suggests a refresh, tried that and it works for the first time the browser is opened after the refresh and then reverts to the same size.

Another suggestion was to delete the xulstore.json file as it may be corrupt. Done that several times. Each time, that solution works for the first time the browser is opened. Beginning with the second time, the behavior returns.

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Same result. Works for the first time the browser is opened.

I have no extensions or plug-ins installed other then what exists from the default browser. I am running the current version of Firefox, Windows 11, fully updated system with plenty of RAM and disk space.

Thanks!

Hello, I'm using Firefox 100.0.2 (OS: Ubuntu 20.04). It is not possible to manage if/when firefox updates are installed. In the options-section, there are some information about the current version number, however no chance to configure anything update-related. Updates just happens automatically and interrupt current sessions, leading to spontaneous (and surprising) dysfunction of the opened browser. That's very annoying in case of video conferencing, for example, because it is not possible to open any new tab or windows, always the note there "you have to restart firefox now" - in practice, just like a crashing error. And, the suggested restart does not re-open the current opened tabs/URLs!

Furthermore, within some updates, my language settings get lost, so it turns to English language automatically and I always must add my language packet manually again and again. Thats really annoying and maybe completely disruptive for people that are not able to read in English!

Is there any chance to come over this? Otherwise I guess I must leave using firefox as browser, however this would be not the aim I actually follow. Thx!

I've installed Firefox 105.0.3 on a machine with a fresh installation of Windows. I've left the machine running overnight. The next morning, Firefox stops loading pages. When I check C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox, I can see that Firefox.exe has a file date of July, instead of October: all the files in this folder are now for version 102 instead of 105. This has happened several times in a row now. What could be causing this problem?

Hi,

My partner has an issue with Google working within Firefox (FF). The problem started around 27 April 2022.

In short:

    • Both gMail and Google Drive keep saying “Ooops … the system encountered a problem (#2003) - Retrying in x s…” and “Not Connected”.
    • The above message may stop for a period and then gMail within FF fails to render its pages properly. Icons go missing. For example the check boxes to the left of the emails disappear while the remainder of the subject lines remains. Menu icons across the top of an open gMail document disappear (like Download, Report Spam and Delete icons ….). This seems to suggest a cache issue.
    • Search within FF using Google fails also. After entering search terms and pressing ENTER, nothing happens.

Note:

  • The stand-alone Google Chrome environment works fine. So gMail, Google Docs, Sheets etc work OK in the stand-alone Google Chrome app.
  • Duck Duck Go search works within the FF browser.
  • I have noted that if I simply log into MY Google Account under Firefox on her PC the same problem occurs.
  • If we log into my PC the problem is not apparent using either of our Google Accounts. So it appears to be an issue on her PC.

I have tried :

  • Flushing the cache in FF for all time, including data. Then rebooted.
  • We have followed your procedures under “Help” ie Runs a Firefox a tune up; used “Diagnose issues” and “cleared the startup cache”.
  • Have run Sophos AND MalwareBytes across the whole laptop. No PUPs or malware detected.

I uninstalled FF using Revo Uninstaller which initially uses the standard FF uninstall exe then it scans the drive for removes all FF files and entries within the Registry; then I re-installed the latest version of FF. Rebooted. No luck here either. I assume there is some remnant file that remains on the hard disk as some settings are retained after a new install.

Hardware: Lenovo ThinkPad , model 20QFS00B00. OS: Windows 10 Pro, vers 10.0.19044 Build 19044, 64 bit Firefox browser: is up-to-date; vers 99.0.1 (64 bit)

I can't find any recent issues related to this specific problem. Please advise what to try next.

Of course I'm happy to provide additional info if required or work through different scenarios to isolate the issue(s).

Thanks in advance for any assistance, Steve Gee
