Whenever I restart my computer My fox browser restores to default settings deleting any previous history bookmarks etc & it forces me to put all my account information again How do I stop this ?

Recently, with the installation of Websense Forcepoint One Endpoint tool by my company, Firefox is very slow. But other browsers like Chrome & Edge works fine with good speed. How do I troubleshoot this.

Just to clarify, because of the Forcepoint installation, the "Firefox Connect Settings" is totally disabled. Looks like all the network traffic thru firefox are routed differently than that from other browsers.

I noticed a strange behaviour since yesterday when trying to download a game while running firefox. When i start a download i get the full downloadspeed. But when i open up firefox the DL speed drops right away and sometimes even reaches 0.

I just have to run FF without visiting any site (home tab). I dont get a throttled DL speed when using other game clients. I can download files via FF itself without any problems. After closing FF the DL sometimes gets back up, sometimes its stuck at a low level.

I have a recently installed system. Im running

Windows 10, 2004 (newest updates) AMD CPU and X570 board, newest chipset drivers. Kaspersky and Malwarebytes (tho i still have the problem after deinstalling them)

Anyone can confirm this or has a solution to the problem?

I tried:

• Using other browser while DLing in Steam: no issue.
• Deleting/reinstalling FF, starting without Addons (ublock, noscript): same issue
• setting up a VM with Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Steam and FF (tho on a different device and inet): no issue
• if i start FF and nothing else i dont see any movement in task-manager @ CPU and Network graphs
• i dont have any tuner or optimizer installed. Just drivers and game clients from reliable sources

Whenever i try to play any youtube live video, this message shows up "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available.Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video." Other videos work fine and live videos plays comfortably on other browser

On my iMac/Firefox 82.0.2 (64 bit), my camera/screen share has stopped working after an update last week. I keep getting a "1020" code. There are 3 of us at the college who have the same problem.

Folgende Ausgangssituation: Ich habe einen neuen Computer mit Win10, darauf habe ich Firefox installiert und alles lief perfekt. Dann habe ich in den Apps von Win10 4x Visual C ++ Redistributable gefunden 2015-2019 glaube ich. Ich dachte die wären von einem anderen Prog. das ich vor ein paar Tagen installiert hatte und habe die alle 4 deinstalliert. Ab da an hat Firefox keinen Inhalt mehr angezeigt. Die erst noch offenen Seiten hatten funktioniert. Aber neue Tabs blieben leer.

Was habe ich alles gemacht? Rechner neu gestartet Firefox deinstalliert und neu installiert (da kam dann eine Fehlermeldung daß eine dll fehlt. Visual Studios geholt und installiert - jetzt ist Visual C ++ Redistributabl 2019 und diese fehlende dll vorhanden. Firefox neu installiert - ging ohne Fehlermeldung, aber Anzeigen tut er immer noch nichts (nur leere Seite) Alle Treiber noch mal installiert.

Trotzdem geht nichts - ich bekomme nur eine leere Seite. Keine Eingabe ändert etwas daran. Firewall gibt es keine.

Was kann ich noch tun? Außer Win10 neu zu installieren - was ich vermeiden möchte...

Whenever I play a video on YouTube and Twitch via the Firefox browser, the videos frequently stutter. I have tried refreshing the page and pausing and playing the video with no success. My only solution thus far is to use chrome for videos. This only started happening about a week ago.

My specs: Ryzen 5 1600X GTX 1660 Super 32GB RAM

Problem first started on my laptop, would be on social media or ordering off Amazon........Go to click on something and it would double click, or want to go back 1 page and it goes back two pages. I go to highlight a word or phrase to "Copy and paste" and the highlight goes away and it wasn't copied. Now I linked my firefox browser to my laptop (on a brand new desktop, fresh Windows 10 install) and I'm getting the same results. Same issues on different computers, same results, only constant is Firefox. Anyone have this issue and know how to fix it?

Firefox offered the option to reset Firefox to fix "slowness starting Firefox" I took them up on the offer and clicked on the link. Everything is now changed when I open Firefox. Desktop is different, cluttered up with things I am not interested in and bookmarks are in a different location and seem to be incomplete. Can I just go back? Was not that slow anyway. Thanks

When I go to drag a file (doesn't matter the file type it happens with any) over Firefox browser it crashes Firefox. Then when I open Firefox back up and it says Restore tabs then I can drag the file across. This happens when I try to drag a file into Outlook or Canvas. But it crashes right when the file crosses into Firefox browser. It happens once every time after I start computer, as in if I left my computer on then after it does it once it would not happen again. Not sure if there is something I can fix or if this is a bug.

After successfully logging into NY Times, it asks me to log in again. NY Times advised be to use Chrome, said Firefox does not support their website as well as Chrome. Any way to overcome problem on Firefox?

I use https://web.microsoftstream.com for university lectures. After about a minute of playback, video hangs and the tab pins the CPU core it's scheduled on.

Videos are organisation specific, so I can't give a specific link that would be helpful.

Hi, I seem to have an issue whereby if i am playing a video on youtube(for example) and then switch tabs or new windows, to lets say twitter(for example). When a video is played on twitter, it will take control of the audio. So the audio slider on a twitter video, will control the audio on the YouTube video. This leads to several problems. For example, if i want to listen to a song on youtube, while watching a video muted or at a lower volume on twitter, i lose sound from the other tab. When i close the tab, i would have to go back to youtube(which audio slider still think its playing) and mute and unmute the audio on their player.

On version 82 Window. Has been existing for a few versions. have tried upgrading to 83.beta with no joy.

Updated to version 82. Slow and cludgy and uses gobs of memory. 17 system hangs in less than a week. Windows 7 pro on quad core i7 with 4g mem and heaps of disks. no other software or hardware changes...

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?????

Firefox used to be quite easy to use and maintain. Rollback to the previous version destroys my profile... All bookmarks and ad-ins lost.

Seriously guys, do more thorough testing, and provide and easier (like you used to) means of rollback from and update. After 30+ years of using firefox I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Hey, My Firefox on most webpages shows "Not responding" Then freezing then works again, like some process keeps interrupting the Performance ESPECIALLY on Facebook which after update has already disappointed me and Facebook now doesn't compress images which is good but soon in less than 10 minutes since my login Facebook starts to show 700 MB in Task manager ! I guess its loading of images or something but i don't even play videos And then I'm forced to close it ! happens every time i start Facebook ! All i need is some settings and tweak so i can peacefully work on Firefox which is been missing from long time absolutely. i5,4gb ram,nvidia 2gb

For a while now when I initially open firefox I can open as many tabs as I want to and have no issue going to the website I have chosen. After firefox has been open for a few minutes and I open a new tab to go to a different website, the tab will open but firefox won't go to the website. Same thing as when I am in a website and I try to move around in it I tend to have issues. I've done a refresh, I've uninstalled and re-installed, cleaned my cache and cookies. I'm at a loss. The only way to change sites is to completely close firefox and re-open it. I have firefox at work and it's connected to my personal account and I have zero issues, it's only my computer at home that I have issues with. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I see a glow of what is below Firefox on YT videos. Part of this glow is blocked by rectangle which covers left upper part of video. It is well visible on black and white parts of video. A small window is showing that log in first that has two options 1.cancel & 2.Log in . If I tap any of these it reloads and again comes as the previous way.So I can't connect to facebook. Other browsers are working perfectly. This problem has started since 10.11.2020.Please fix it soon ...
