Hello,

Since the last firefox update to version 97.0b3 a new "effect" appeared, which is truly annoying. Whenever I download something, the downloadbutton message pops up, and I don't know how to get rid of this. Could you please tell me how to change the settings to prevent this from happening?

I'm not sure this is a problem with Firefox but I have run out of other options to look at. At first I thought it might be because the page uses a frameset (I know it's obsolete) so I created a version that uses an iframe instead. That way the html that needs to be acted on is not in a frame. It still doesn't work. I don't know why it works in stackoverflow's sandbox and jsfiddle but not on my website. Any help is appreciated.

Frameset version iFrame version

If you need to see the tabstrip code (it's virtually identical to the iFrame version): Tabstrip for frameset version

The script is supposed to hilite the selected tab with a red background. The rollover works fine (yellow background and brown text) but the selected tab color never shows up.

I wanted to bump this as I never received a satisfactory answer for the reason behavior was changed and it is still something that feels like a UX regression.

Hi, I have three problems starting from the immediate:

1. Cannot open Gmail. Says browser may not be secure. 2. Video player in Twitch does not load. 3. Opening Discord in the browser sometimes doesn't work and

opens a dialog: 'Global environment variables not set'.

Problems 1 and 2 have been happening recently, somewhat after the last two updates of Firefox. Problem 3 has been going on before that, though intermittently. Kindly help me with this.

On my home tower PC, the Bookmarks appear on the left side of the screen (WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM. On my laptop PC, when FIREFOX updated to the latest version in the past several months, the Bookmarks no longer appear on the left side of the screen immediately when I open FIREFOX. In order to see the Bookmarks, I have to click on a small icon at the upper right hand corner of the screen. Then, the Bookmarks appear on the right side of the screen. I have been through all the items in the Settings screen, checked each subheading for any item pertaining to moving the Bookmarks to the LEFT side, but have found nothing. I first checked your knowledge base, and while it reported 2 responses, neither one of them correctly addressed this particular problem. Please help.

Please help me, all my bookmarks are gone and everything is set to default. I also checked my history and there is nothing. All have been wiped out. I restarted my firefox because it detects my letters as keyboard shortcuts , I tried to exit and open it first but it is still there. Then, I used troubleshoot mode to restart the firefox. It was fixed after that but after using firefox for a while I noticed all my bookmarks are gone, then, checked everything was gone. I tried restoring bookmarks by profiles but firefox didn't create a profile it was only a default profile in there. I haven't log in my account on this device because i forgot. Please help I really those bookmarks back. It is very important for my work and most of my research references are my bookmarks.

I was using firefox by downloading it from the website and it was working fine. Then I try searching it in the MS Store to see if updates are possible from there or not and mistakenly downloaded it again. But I cannot see any desktop icon of Firefox other than the one I was previously using. If I go to the MS Store and try opening the app from there then a brand new Firefox opens which I simply cannot delete. I have even went to the Control Pannel to find out if there's another Firefox but there isn't. I am kinda worried as Firefox is my primary browser and I use it for literally every internet related activity. So please help me in uninstalling this second Firefox program which is unwanted here.
