As stated in the subject, I've updated firefox to the new version 91.4.1esr via system update (through apt) I'm currently under Devuan chimaera (based on Debian Bullseye), after this update I'm unable to access to www.google.com. All the other google service are available (I can still access to gmail, calendar, etc etc, it's only the search engine that is unavailable). I can still access www.google.com by using other browsers. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Never had this problem/glitch ever before! When I attempt to create a new listing and attach 'my' photos, it only imports blocks of color (see attached image)! The only thing I can possibly think what might be happening is I went to the Sherwin-Williams website https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW9130-evergreen-fog and clicked on "Explore in Colorsnap Visualizer" - which did not work! (However, it does work in Safari and Opera!) We have tried everything to try to delete whatever we may have imported (a virus???), i.e. went to Firefox prefs/Privacy&Security and cleared/managed data (which continually repopulates so the clearing/managing seems to do nada); downloaded a new Firefox app...nothing stops this behavior in eBay (and don't know if this behavior shows up elsewhere). My eBay works fine in Safari and Opera with this situation.

I cannot use the PDF Viewer on Firefox 91.5.0esr (64-bit). Instead, I get an incessant popup asking what to do with the file. I've tried:

  1. Selecting `Firefox` as the program to open the PDF. A new tab opens along with the popup.
  2. Selecting `Firefox.exe`. Same deal
  3. Modifying Preferences -> Applications -> "Portable Desktop Format ... (app or binary)" to Firefox. It won't let me - I can choose anything else or any other program, but choosing "Firefox" won't stick
  4. Opening Firefox in "Troubleshoot Mode" (Help -> Troubleshoot Mode) then attempting all of the above. The setting still doesn't stick.
  5. Disabling Hardware Acceleration, as one person cited that.

Every other thread has either cited changing the setting for PDF's to "Open in Firefox" or various names. Fear not, I've tried that, and am still at an impass. Any help beyond that is appreciated :)

I have Firefox 91.6.0esr (64-bit) on Windows. Previously I could access PDFs on a number of websites using the inbuilt PDF viewer. However now Firefox returns a save-as prompt.

I have checked the headers of some of these pdf pages and the header content-disposition: inline; filename=<abcdefg> is contained which I think should cause the PDF to be rendered in the browser but this is not happening. The pdfs on the same pages can be viewed using Edge.

Has the behavior of Firefox recently been changed?

Can websites i visit track my browsertheme for example system default or light or dark theme? I like the dark theme but i'm not using it because i fear it makes my browser much more unique, is that so? If so, is there a preference or another way to prefent websites from tracking my browser theme?

After installing FF ver. 91 for Mac OS (desktop) GMail will no longer load its themes, and only appears as a black and white simple HTML version. Many of the page functions are there, but invisible, and can only be found by hovering the cursor over the general area where these active and regularly used GMail features are on the page. Many page elements also have wire frames around them. Even the GMail log in portal screen is not displaying correctly. The Google Workspace logo also fails to fully animate when navigating to the login page.

Reverting to older versions, FF 89 and 90 proves that the problem is with FF 91. The issue does not affect Safari or Chrome in my experience. Totally clearing all cache, cookies, sync'ed profiles and user accounts in this FF product does not fix this issue with FF 91.

This appears to be an interface bug that needs to be sorted. Can you please help?

Hi, so my problem was exist for several times both on my PC and laptop and can't figure it out keyword to fix my issue and tbh i don't know what trigger this behavior. When browsing sometimes came situation can't type anything using my keyboard, even when outside firefox.

my current workaround to encounter this, i just need open any web with place I can type like search bar or text box and type there then back to normal (so I guessing it's maybe related to when I open web with this kind search box then move to other tab it's stuck on that box? but i can't make sure, it just happen randomly but often). and I don't know if this issues related to windows or just firefox because I didn't know the trigger so i can't recreate this on other browser.

If anyone know how to fix this, please help me.

thanks in advance

Hi experts,

I installed the latest firefox 91.2.0esr (64-bit) yesterday on OS centos 7.9, and use the Mojave-light theme. I change the close, maximize, minimize to the left top corner of each window and change such order under dconf-editor. Remember, my order is: close, maximize, minimize, (red, green, yellow), NOT close, minimize, maximize,(red, yellow, green).

Actual results:

The actual result is that: only firefox doesn't take effect. Only firefox window has the WRONG order: close, minimize, maximize. (red, yellow, green)

Expected results:

It should be: close, maximize, minimize (red, green, and yellow)

or:

how to change the order of close, maximize, minimize in the userChrome.css?

PS1: changing to the default theme, or using safe-mode doesn't work.

I would like to know if the preferences (found in about:config or prefs.js) are explained in detail somewhere For example, what is browser.safebrowsing.provider.google.advisoryURL? Firefox is telling the world that it is version 91: confirmed by websites are telling me that my 91 installation is out of date, further confirmed from this page below showing

   Firefox version (optional):
   91.0

Under Settings/Firefox Updates I see "Version 97.0.1 Firefox is up to date."

Anyone know what's going on?

I have done my best to suppress browser and OS fingerprinting. Is that the cause? I also note that under 'Troubleshooting information" below the page shows "We can't automatically get your browser's troubleshooting data"
