I have just purchased a new iMac. The retailer instakked all myold software, including Firefox. When I opened Firefox I found a number of bookmarks for companies with which I no longer have any deakings, and I tried to delete them, following the proceedures in Firefox Help. But it didn't work, either way. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these annoying bookmarks?

I have used Firefox for several years and have been very happy with it. However, in the last few/several weeks, I am finding that when I click on a link to go to another screen, it either takes forever or does not work at all.

What steps should I take to help with this problem? I am using Firefox 78.0.2 (64Bit).

For a few weeks now, I cannot start a You Tube clip using my favourite browser Firefox. When I select a clip, it displays with a rather blurred image. When I click on the red arrow to start the clip, nothing happens. Video clips from sites other than You Tube work fine. I tried opening a clip using Microsoft Edge and it worked fine. I am using Windows 10 64 bit and the Firefox is version 78.0.2. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

I am using my desktop and in my local library website displaying the information for a book. There are several items displayed. The second field is the book title. I see this: +AddThis on every title line in place of the title. This same query works on my iPhone, iPad, etc. It works on Microsoft and Chrome but not FireFox. ????

Firefox was running slow and it recommended to perform a reset. After the reset all of my bookmarks were lost and not restored. I found the backups of the bookmarks and each of the stored backups gives the same error "unable to process file". I tried this on all of the files. How can I get my bookmarks restored?

As the title suggests, Firefox is saving the wrong password for a login. Here's what I have done so far to fix the problem: 1. I just deleted all saved logins 2. Restarted Firefox 3. Re-entered the correct username and password

I keep getting "test" as the password instead of what should be the actual password as can be seen in the image. Note, I used a program to whiteout the username.

The two sites(Juno and Netzero) tell me my browser is not allowing cookies to be saved, so I have to sign in every time I visit these sites to check my mail. I must not have a setting set right?

I don't why but today some sites are not available to access, it is not internet problem. I tested using other browsers: Opera and Chrome, it works perfectly fine on those browsers. The site examples are: Gmail, google login (it is hard for me to do login, often failed), Google.com (I can't get the redirection working). I tried to clear all cookies and caches, refresh, and disable all plugins but the issue still persists.

Hi! I'm using Firefox 78.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro 1909. In the process of telling Firefox to open PDF files with PDF X-Change Viewer, I noticed that one of the filetypes in the list is "Vectric". I don't know how to have Firefox tell me the extensions included in this filetype, but I assume they would be .crv, .crv3d, .3dclip, and others associated with Aspire, my Vectric software app. Files like this I would only ever want to save, but on trying to say so I discovered that "Save File" isn't one of the options in the dropdown menu. So my questions are: 1. Why is "Save File" not given as an option for the Vectric filetype? 2. How can I get "Save File" to apply to the Vectric filetype? 3. Why on earth is such an obscure filetype as "Vectric" specifically listed here, anyway?

Hi, so recently, with firefox on windows 10 I haven't been able to use the address bar to access the list of sites which should be there that I visit every day.

Usually I just click in an empty address bar, and instantly the list of sites would just pop down from there, with highest frequency of visited sites at the top, down to other, less frequently visited addresses.

I'm not talking about top sites, like I can access in a blank tab if I activate that option. That was always where I pinned sites that were important for me to visit, but weren't as high frequency as email or facebook, which I would have at the top of the list of addresses in the address bar.

I can't seem to find the answer, but how do I get that to work again? Currently I can access top sites, which is really not what I want, as that is usually on a new blank tab if I choose to have that option chosen for there. Or I have access to history though only if I start typing in the address bar, which again, is not what I want.

Click and pop, and the list appears is all I want please.

2 related problems. 1) Lately having difficulty playing vids on Twitter. Sometimes fine, other times they start, then reboot, repeatedly and won't play.

2) I used to see prompts on explore.org for 'pop cam', to create a new window of just the live-cam. This prompt no longer appears in FF. When I open the site in Vivaldi, it appears, as you can see in the screenshot I've attached. Eg., https://explore.org/livecams/africam/olifants-river

I have read through a number of FF articles, tried changing audio/visual permissions, cleared cache. No difference. I have way too many tabs open, though not loaded. I sincerely hope this isn't creating the problem, as my brain is very slow, it takes me a long time to complete things I've been researching. And until very recently, there were still many tabs, without my current problems.

since i installed firefox on my pc its very rare i can open my emails instead i have to use the chrome browser any ideas why this is so my system is windows 8.1 if thats any help many thanks

When I go to Netflix my computer freezes completely almost immediately, I cant do anything but shut down and restart. This does not happen when I open Netflix in Microsoft Edge.

A few days ago I received the notification to upgrade to ver. 78.0.2 (32bit) FFox for windows desktop. I allowed it to perform the update and the log out and restart of the browser. When the browser finished loading, I found that I had lost everything. All my bookmarks, all my saved logins, all my saved passwords everything. Is there any possibility of getting them back from a hidden file or directory, or something??????

Firefox browser 78.0.2 is inconsistent when initiating a search.

Whether I 1) copy and paste or 2) type the search request into the address bar (or search bar to the right of the address bar), this version/program inconsistently but persistently ignores the request, providing a blank page instead.

This continues even after clearing the cache and history.

This has been so frustrating that I am considering Google after the past 7 years with Firefox.

Whenever I attempt to download anything from my Google drive I get this error in the attached image. Never had this issue before. Attempting to allow all cookies and manage exceptions doesn't work and also clearing caches and other cookies fails as well. The only way that works is by getting a shareable link and pasting it into an incognito tab and dragging the image onto the desktop. This doesn't work with other file types, only images.

There is a facility on the new (about 2 years old) BBC sounds "my sounds" app that Firefox is unable to use. The facility is known either as "remember where you are on a programme" or "pick up where you left off on a programme" I am using a Linux PC and a Windows desktop with the same problem on both.

I have checked with the BBC and confirmed that I have the correct settings and cookies enabled, which I am able to change through Firefox, but Firefox can't store how many minutes in I am on a programme, although it can access the same information when that is stored by Internet Explorer. In other words if I listen for 10 minutes to a particular programme on Internet Explorer, then stop and find it on Firefox, Firefox always goes back to that 10 minute spot, no matter how much further I listen. I am in contact with the BBC about this too.

I have been using Firefox Sync for a while between my desktop and laptop. Both repeatedly remove the same bookmark folder from my bookmarks toolbar containing links to my home network NAS services. A single folder containing 5 bookmarks. Even when the laptop is off the folder on my desktop disappears, starting the laptop without networking (no way to sync) the folder will also be missing. Is there an audit trail of what is removing or modifying bookmarks? These are the only 2 devices using Sync. This same folder existed normally on both computers prior to enabling sync. I recreate it and it disappears within a day.
