I have been using a website for 3 years and now Firefox tells me in isn't secure now and i can't log into this site. Another issue i had with another site is that I could log in, but firefox wasn't letting me print. I log in through another web browser to both of these sites and have no issue. How do i fix this? I love firefox and don't want to switch browsers.

When using Firefox to access web pages, frequently a full orange page appears and takes over browser. Firefox download is requested. When downloaded and run, a black dialog box opens showing a basic progress line and %. When complete, I try to return to my previous web page and any input or even the existing web page is gone. Very annoying as this event occurs frequently even if I complete the update.

Cannot find how to restore the regular font size I was used to before doc. with very large font size apparently set some option in Firefox to larger font as default. Tried turning printer off to reset any default settings there, but did not correct the problem. Checked options under tools/options/content/fonts and colors and these are set to default of Arial 12 which is what it should be.

A while ago I upgraded my Mac to OS X 10.10.5.. Two weeks ago I also switched to using the system’s transparency option for menus en windows. In Firefox I suddenly noticed a few things (see also the attached images below):

When Transparency is turned ON:

1. The rendering of type in the FF toolbar pull down menus is noticeably more bold than in the menus from the system bar.

2. Bookmark images in the FF toolbar menus are much darker then those in the system bar menus (in a mouseover they become lighter again).

When Transparency is turned OFF:

Same differences, although less outspoken. But no difference in passive state and mouseover.

Besides that the effect is ugly and unattractive, the type becomes less readable (cluttered and unsharp), especially on dark backgrounds.

Safari and Chrome don't have this problem.

It should be noted that I still use a Cinema HD screen, not a retina screen.

Question: Is this intended behaviour or an issue that should be reported? Is there some setting in FF that can correct this?

Menu option Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab > Option: "Compact all folders when it will save over 20 MB in total" is selected and has been selected since FireFox was installed over a year ago.

Today, while researching another unrelated matter, I learned that it is a good idea to weekly invoke menu option File > Compact folders. I had never invoked this menu option so I did so today. After it completed the status bar indicated "Done compacting (approx. 248 MB saved).

Today, and everyday since FireFox was installed, have been normal days reading some emails (~5/day), writing some emails (~2/day), and emptying the Junk folder (~10/day). There has been no recent wholesale deletion of emails.

If the option to "Compact all folders when it will save over 20 MB in total" has been selected, how is it possible that 248 MB was made available when I manually selected menu option File > Compact folders? I appears to me the automatic compact does not work.

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS updated everyday. ThunderBird 52.1.1 (64-bit) (this version appeared yesterday).

With FF, searched for "Baracuta", a clothing company (their website opens fine with Safari and Chrome) (see pic "1"), Instead of going there I alway get a totally unwanted list ("2"). This sometimes happens with some other sites, too. How can I stop this, and have FF function correctly? (Apparently, I can't send you a screen shot, but try it: search for "Baracuta" and see what happens.

I sometimes go to Kayak to look at flights and in my Firefox browser whenever I start typing the address it then comes up automatically 'www.kayak.com'. Except the problem is that Kayak changed their default homepage to hotel related searches a year or so ago and every time I go to Kayak I have to click on flights to get to the page I initially wanted. So I just want to know how can I edit the auto-fill suggestion to show 'www.kayak.com/flights' instead of the way it currently shows 'www.kayak.com'.
