In attempting to save a new set of tabs to open on start-up, when I click the 'options' , option, on the 'Tools' drop-down list, I get an error message "The address isn't valid

The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.

   Web addresses are usually written like http://www.example.com/
   Make sure that you're using forward slashes (i.e. /)."

I've used this multiple times in the past. I have recently downloaded Windows 10. Not sure if this is the culprit...

I am not tech literate. Sorry. But when i last updated Mozilla it eliminated my AOL (America On Line) toolbar. This toolbar had the locations of all my favorite places...bank, grocery store. etc. As a fix, I decided to try to use a toolbar I already have but rarely use. Cannot find instructions on how to customize the toolbar (take off all the unused buttons and add the ones I use a lot). I don't even know the name of this pre existing toolbar. It has a "Most visited" icon first.

Can someone tell me what this old toolbar is and tell me how to reconfigure so that it is able to take over for my very, VERY useful America On Line (AOL) toolbar?

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 both Firefox and Thunderbird have crashed after my computer goes to sleep. After the computer is awakened they are either immediately or shortly unresponsive.

Youtube in some months can load only 0.40s of all videos and then loading a much slower than usual.

Always in Summer & now in Fall.

since I updated to firefox 42 or the beta versions that follow until 43.0b2 which is the last version until this moment, the first run of firefox doesn't show anything, just the process running in the background. One of my trials to install showed me the importing window but it was blank and the it was stuck. the second run firefox works but if I try to open the profile manager "firefox.exe -p" it doesn't run or it shows the profile manager window blank. I downgraded to firefox 41 and it works fine but if I upgrade again it's the same problems.

(I did this on a clean install of windows 7, I reinstalled windows because I thought I messed up but the problem persisted, so it's certainly a problem with the lastest versions of Firefox)

Update : I wasn't able to reproduce the problem today, it seems that I can open the profile manager. I don't know the exact reason for the problem to get fixed. The only change I did is that I installed all windows updates.

I used to have a Dev and Stable version of Firefox on a single Windows account without any obvious problem.

That does not work with Linux (ubuntu 15.04) without extra steps. I ended up replacing stable Firefox which was not my intention.

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/ does not highlight the possible issue.

If there is an issue on Linux/Mac/Windows(?) the web page should highlight the issue.

On numerous occasions, when I update to a new version of firefox or have a crash, I will lose my session restore capability. I know there's a way to create a backup of this, and would like to start doing so on a regular basis, but I'm not sure of what type of file to create and how to go about doing so. Thanks!

I had used the about:config to disable the one off buttons because i think they are completely stupid and i HATE them, too much clicking, i have to click every time i want to search on something thats not google, and i hate clicking! I opened firefox today and the buttons reverted back to normal, so i checked and it was still set to false. I refreshed firefox and now the setting is completely gone, do i have to roll back my firefox, just to get the old interface i love? thats what i like about firefox was the fact that they let you use it the way you want, and I am surprised if they removed the option totaly. In about:support I see GPU accelerated Windows: 2/2 Direct3D 9 (OMTC) Supports HW H264 decoding Z: No: Failed to create H264 decoder

Driver version 327.23, video card Nvidia GT 610.

Here's my question. Does HW decoding of H264 work under any circumstances in XP? Or did Firefox decide not to implement it?

I've removed all the search engines except of google. Now 1)yahoo still appears sometimes 2)yahoo always appears when I input in the address line "frog.fan65" without quotes. I know that this request may be incorrect but WTF? where is google? why does it still shows yahoo even if it "was completely removed"

Java plugin stopped working when he is trying to download a java applet, it is only happening in the version 42 and above. I have tried three solutions and it doesn't working. I also tested if there is something wrong with java itself and there isn't. It is only happening in firefox. How can i fix this?

after I updated windows10 to build.10568, firefox add-ons are removed themselves everytime I reboot my pc.

this never happened for several years since I started using firefox. (from win7, 8.1 to 10, on 4 different PCs)

I tried turning on w10's administrator account, formatting system partition and clean installing the OS, using latest beta version of firefox.

Nothing changed.

is there any clue?

Useing any web page at any time seem's to just crash at random, This has happened over 50 time's in the last four day's, Im useing win 10 on a clean install and beta firefox as iv tried normal firefox and that was bad aswell. Occasionally when I manually shut down FF, it won't remember my pinned tab. I believe in the past I used an addon to force this to be remembered, but now I want to try it again, I don't remember its name, and a search turned up way too many extensions offering to do this and that. This is ALL I want to do with this addon--force FF to remember my pinned tab(s) every time I open it up.

Does anyone know of a good extension for this?

I am using a Surface Pro 3. Often when changing orientation or coming back after sleeping the computer, a window will whisk away offscreen when I try to click on it and I cannot get it back. It appears in the taskbar (with no preview image), but can't get it back.

Since downloading Windows 10 on my Dell desktop, I keep getting updates notices pushing in from the bottom right of the screen. Each of these notices states "Unknown Application" or something like that. It then goes on to name the "unknown", which usually means nothing to me so I hit the 'allow' button, just in case it is required to run my computer.

Today, as I was loading up a program that I downloaded yesterday and it worked yesterday, one of those "unknowns" appeared and it read 'pluginscontainer.exe'. I blocked it unintentionally and since then, that program won't load. Each time I try, I get the message "Pluginscontainer.exe" tried to load but has been blocked.

Can anyone tell me please, how to unblock it? Oh! My security system is Panda but I can't find any way to track it down on Panda. Sincerely, Maxwellme.
