It does not matter what I am trying to load, from opening emails to shopping sites to watching cbs programming. The problem started a little over a week ago and I have tried the measures indicated in my question. I have also taken my computer to a national computer fix-it outlet and they were not sure what to do. The problem does not happen when I use Internet Explorer but I truly prefer Mozilla. Can you help?

Hello, today when I got home from university I opened up my Firefox browser and then as it loaded my homepage then another tab opened up with the web address http://nickpjason.github.io/html5loop/ and it keeps asking me to download and install this youtube video downloader extension which I do not want to do.

It opens up everytime I open a new window of firefox, is there anyway I can get rid of this? I thought I would ask FireFox here if there was a way to get rid of it then asking the GitHub help forums

I had to create a new profile. I exported the bookmarks from the old profile into the new one. All of the bookmarks that were on the bookmarks toolbar are in the new profile, but none of the bookmarks under the old bookmarks tab are under the new one (in the new profile). And there was no link to the bookmarks manager (in the new profile). How do I get it back?

This seems like it should be self-evident, but I am just not finding it.

The add-on page says that the add-on includes a new home page, so I tried resetting the home page in preferences. It takes me to the Firefox home page, but there doesn't appear to be an "access interest dashboard" button.

I've checked the various places where I can access history--no dice.

I've looked at the descriptions of the add-on in several places (both on Mozilla forums and on third-party sites)--still nothing to tell me where to find something that looks even vaguely like the data presented in the pictures of what the add-on does.

I tried to find a button that I could add to the customizable menu; nothing.

I tried opening a new tab and checking the options there. Nothing.

I have a site that I use for work where each time you go to the site to log in it creates a unique session address but I need to have the general address bookmarked. I can't bookmark the site until after I perform the search.

So I type https://worldcat.org/wms and begin the search. That address is added to as the search progresses to the log in screen.

I have written in about this before; I originally set the "Location Bar" inside the Firefox settings NOT to suggest my bookmarks, but after a while it was starting to ignore that command and it would set itself back up after restarting Firefox to suggest bookmarks when typing in a web address. This problem was solved by setting up a new profile within Firefox. After that, this problem no longer existed.

Now as of today, the problem is back. I wish there was a way to contact developers of Firefox and let them know of this issue. If there are no other solutions out there except for setting up a new profile, fine but it's starting to get annoying that I have to go through this process everytime this problem happens.

I just updated from 32.x to 33.1 I'm on win7-64.

I now have a problem whenever I try to access the adress-bar (the control where you type the URL) and the serach-bar. It used to be that when the control did not have focus and you clicked in it, the text was autoselected, this means that when you start typing it replaces the previous text. This behaviour was consistent with other mainstream browsers (IE, Chrome, Opera).

After the update whenever I click in the adress-bar (or search-bar) the text is not selected. Sometimes when I move the mouse to the top (not having any mouse-button down) it selects the text. This is annoying, the only consistent way to select the text now is pressing Ctrl+A. What is even worse, is the fact that when I click in the adress-bar (and search-bar),(no text ets selected), and I press BackSpace button (I'm at end of text) it then selects the text and deletes the entire text.

Along with the fact that typing in FF 33.1 ismuch, much, much slower than in 32, this makes the browser almost completely useless to me, which is a pity, since I'm using FF as my default browser from version 1.5.

Does anybody know a fix for this (or should I downgrade (how to?))?

When I install the 'External Application Buttons 2 0.13' in FF 33.1.1, the small rectangle that appears in the toolbar contains a button that I cannot delete. This button can be edited so is not the problem, but at the same time a new entry shows up at the bottom of the Tools menu 'Przycisk aplikacji', and that I cannot get rid of. If I disable the extension, the new entry in the Tools menu disappears, but it returns as soon as the extension is re-enabled. Is this a known bug and, if so, how does one get around it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (Windows XP-SP3 32bit)

I was trying out a full version of Avast Internet Security and at the end of the trial time, it began unloading the full version of the software. While it was in the process, it came to a point in which it asked to reboot the computer. I clicked yes. At this time, Firefox was in mid bootup and Firefox Browser has crashed every time since this event.

I have deleted Firefox several times and reloaded it and it still crashes. I did a virus scan and found not problems.
