Hello, I cannot log in to Twitter/x.com with the Firefox browser. There is a constant loop when registering. Firefox browser does not connect Twitter/X.com.

the latest updates to firefox have ruined access to youtube videos causing extensive loading delays and in some cases not allowing the youtube article to load at all using DuckDuckGo youtube runs fine

For the past couple of days when I watch videos on YouTube on my iMac it's VERY slow to start. Sometimes it takes minutes, at which point I have to refresh, and best case it takes about 1 minute to start.

I have cleared the startup cache, cleared cookies and restarted Firefox.

Also, YouTube works normally on both Safari and Chrome.

Not a super 'tech' guy so any basic steps I can take are appreciated.

Version 127.0.2 for linux. Opening a direct link to a pdf file gives the error --- Downloading [file].pdf.part (header) [...].pdf.part could not be saved, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to a different location. --- The file name is 144 characters long including spaces. I don't have any technical browser experience so I'll put what I know. These are the headers HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: nginx Date: Fri, 28 Jun 2024 03:52:54 GMT Content-Type: application/octet-stream Content-Length: 4841076 Connection: keep-alive ETag: "65a096a5-49de74" Accept-Ranges: bytes Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="[144 char long filename].pdf" Everything seems okay. When I click on the link instead of opening as Save As, which I think it should, it immediately gives me that error. I have the ask me where to save thing checked. My home directory is ecryptfs. Ecryptfs says it has a max file name of 143 characters. Mine stops working after 140 characters or 144 including ".pdf". Anyways I think the file name breaks my file system. I was trying to download two pdfs. This is another one I tried to download earlier that gave me the error. I don't pirate. I was able to download it with wget while choosing a shorter filename. I don't know why it wouldn't let me choose after clicking the link. [solved] I have a few more problems I'd like to put in this ticket. A. After giving me the error Firefox crashed immediately afterwards. This was a few days ago. Firefox has never crashed like that before in months. I don't remember exactly what happened but it did crash. If crash logs are needed I can find it. B. After attempting to downloading a video (mp4) file this happened. The mp4 file didn't show up anywhere but a -1 byte part file showed up. It took the name of a subfolder in the folder I had intended to download the image file. I'll explain it in further detail below. I attempted to download an image in /home/user/Documents. In the Documents folder I had another folder which I'll call example. So /Documents/example. I did save the video in Documents but I don't think that mattered. After closing the save as box that popped up after clicking save video I noticed the weird file show up in the Downloads tab. It showed up in the "example" folder and took the name "example".part. Remember I never chose the "example" folder but I did choose the Documents folder. All my files inside the "example" folder broke and I couldn't delete the weird part file. Clicking properties showed the permissions could not be determined. When I interacted with it (I think I tried deleting it) it gave me an error with "gvfsd-admin daemon". I don't remember what it said exactly. I applied my folder's permissions to its contents and I was able to delete it. It doesn't show up in my downloads manager now. I ran clamav and everything was fine. Note I downloaded the video from a trusted source, twimg or the twitter video host. That's all. I'm almost certain it's due to the filename length. Cancel that. I didn't realize the "Applications" thing did that. I'd suggest to override the "Applications" preference if an error saving occurs. I'd still like to ask about A and B though.

So my firefox crashed, I had over 50 tabs with information I want to read later when I have time, so they usually pile up. I tried to restore when I got the error when starting up firefox. It said it was successful, but there were literally no tabs available.

Is there a way to access older syncs? Since I assume my now synced state is this empty hell.

Since my last upgrade my You Tube starts up in the tiny right hand screen, fails to go to full screen or just disappear unless I close Firefox and restart often multiple times. This only happens on Firefox and only since the last upgrade.

This issue is only on two computers (24" iMac running Sonoma) - others at the client site work normally.

Client has up to date Firefox (127.0.2 - also tried latest ESR) full screen with multiple tabs - config set to use system print dialog by default. Print - print dialog opens, print is sent. Tabs are now greyed out, cannot type in text boxes. Changing context (opening and closing About Firefox) restores normal function.

set up a new profile - same issue.

Any suggestions?

Hi, Archived thread on this from 2023 has no answers. Why is this browser so slow now and why is it glitching with resizing my windows? Beyond a total reinstall - how completely inconvenient - I would like an EASY FIX.

I think the v127.0.2 fix to the Youtube buffering issue also fixed the frames being navigated in the wrong order when using < and > to navigate frame by frame. For several months it would occasionally skip a frame with one tap of the button then show the frame it should've shown when you tapped it again.

Hello all. Having updated Firefox a few days ago, we can no longer sign into Instagram. This happens only on Firefox, only since the last update, and Firefox is the same browser we have been using for years with Instagram. The problem is the cookie permission window for Instagram a) will not make a selection and b) will not disappear/close. We have attached a screenshot. There are no close tabs/buttons anywhere on this window, and we have looked the full length of the expanded window. As we have not changed any other setting, have not added any software, and this only happens on Firefox, we can only conclude that we have missed something which may have changed or been upgraded with your last update. This is quite urgent, as this is to manage the Instagram account of a wildlife conservation charity. So far we have tried reinstalling Firefox, clearing cookies, and deactivating/uninstalling all add-ons, however this has solved nothing. Could anyone suggest a solution please? Thank you for your time and assistance.

So i'm a basic PC user and not a Pro to solve Problems related to Web browsers. İ wonder if this happens to any one out there using Latest version of Firefox. (127.0.2 64bit) PS:İ use a app called user agent switcher to fix freezing or lagging or buffering. İ have read some where on the internet that youtube is doing it on purpose?. This happens only with Firefox but not with Microsoft edge.

I have several internal sites, each signed with their own internal CA/subCA. These CAs are all named the same, but have different crypto materials.

If I import just 1 CA into FF (directly or in Windows store with security.enterprise_roots.enabled ), the site with that CA works fine (browser warning is not presented), but ALL those other internal sites give this error:

An error occurred during a connection to 10.1.1.1. Peer’s certificate has an invalid signature. Error code: SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE

with no option to add a security exception.

If I add the CA for another site, that one works as well, the others won't. If I remove all the internal CAs, all the sites start working again (with browser warning, ofc.).

I tried in Chrome and Edge and I get the option to create a security exception for the sites for which I did not install their CA, which looks like the ideal/preferrable option to me.

Is this as intended (and why?) or can it be fixed?

I was sitting playing on the computer, I go to firefox browser and go to zelenka.guru, I look, and I'm not in an account on this site for some reason. I decided to go to another site, but there is the same problem, as I realized - for some reason I got out of all accounts on all sites.

Recently firefox stopped playing audio, I have searched through the settings multiple times, tried safari and google chrome and they both still work so here I am for help.

I'm sort of fed news that are often "Pro-women" by pocket in the name of thought-provoking stories. I feel that this has to do with some brain-washing agenda. I don't want to see these stupid pro-women news slapped on my face every time I open Firefox. How to show "pro-human" news that include both pro-men news and pro-women news?

Right now, I'm seeing many "Feminist news" rather than anti-feminist news. So, I'm completely blinded by one side of the coin. Here's the problem. Even when I see these feminist news, it's always positive about them. There are no "Redpill, MGTOW, MRA, MRM" news which is obviously the other side of the coin and I do see it, it's often negative. I see a bias here. I don't want that bias to be fed to my brain.

In short, I want to see a balanced view or "Pro-male" news because I'm a man. I don't want to be fed all these "Pro-female" news to me.
