I want replace firefox Windows Mozilla MSIX 1- 0 package browser from ms store with regular downloaded version but I do not want to lose all my settings.

How do I go about this?

So I just downloaded Firefox update and it wiped out all my open tabs ... very very inconvenient for me! Been using firefox for a long time and that never happened before. Some warning would have been nice.

I have been cleaning up a rather messy and duplicate-filled set of bookmarks on my desktop and have inadvertently deleted a single folder I would very much like to have back. I have that same folder (ten years of photography-related links) on my laptop but do not see a straight forward way to bring it alone over to my desktop. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

When I seek in videos, for example on youtube, it almost always hangs the entire machine. The same issue happens randomly as videos run, eg after about 5-7 minutes.

I'm struggling to get more information on what is happening (eg logs) because the whole system hangs.

Here are some things I have discovered:

1. I can reproduce in a fresh profile 2. I can reproduce with the flatpak version 3. I can't reproduce in the Brave browser 4. I can't reproduce the problem on Windows, only on this Linux machine

I'm running on Linux (debian bookworm). I'm using wayland. I have an intel i915 GPU (Alder Lake).

The problem started recently (last few days), but I'm not able to nail down exactly what changed.

What I really want is any way to get more information about what is happening - logs or debug output or whatever. Then I can work out if the bug is in Firefox, or something else on my system (eg intel graphics drivers)

I'm unsure about this setting. I don't want a tab to reload when it's switched to.

It seems to indicate that something will be reloaded regardless of what I choose. I assume that's probably not the case.

Please confirm.

I have been reading the NYTimes on Firefox for a long time, but it appears that I got logged out without knowing it. I could not log back in even though I used the correct email address and changed my password twice. I can log in on other browsers using my latest password. I called the Times and the person with whom I spoke, after trying to get me logged in, finally said that this is a known problem with Firefox. He did not have any idea about the cause or what I could do; he simply told me to use another browser. I use Firefox for almost everything and this is, to say the least, an inconvenience--for instance, if the Times sends me a link to an article by Thunderbird (which is my email program), I can't read the article but have to find it on another browser. Are you aware of this problem? Do you have any suggestions for how I might log in despite it? Do you know the cause of the problem and whether Mozilla is trying to fix it?

Hi, Since the update today to 127.0 My sidebar bookmark will not load when I open Firefox. Here is what I have done so far,

Uninstalled Firefox and use the restore on reinstall. didn't work deleted the xulstore file in 3 location. didn't work Removed Firefox using Revo Uninstaller and installed from the local setup file. didn't work Uninstalled ad-ons that used the sidebar, IE Video DownloadHelper, Sync my account, and tryed the step above again. didn't work I use Revo again and did a search for any firefox file, deleted old firefox folder on desktop and any file I could find with a link to the browser. Reinstalled from local file.

When Firefox started this time there was no profile to log in my account "" password etc "", I did a test and the sidebar was working correctly. I then activated my account and the side bar stop working on restart. Not that I did a sync after removing a few ad-ons, see pic for left addons.

Hi, I've noticed an inconsistency when clicking on Web-based protocol handlers in Firefox on Windows. Specifically, when I click on a mailto protocol, such as "mailto:email@example.com," it directly opens my default email application without any confirmation prompt. However, when I click on any other protocol handler, a confirmation pop-up appears, asking me to confirm which application to use. I have attached an example of what I mean.

Is there a way to configure Firefox to always show a confirmation pop-up for all protocol handlers, including mailto links? I prefer to have the option to choose the application each time rather than automatically using the default one.

Hi, To who it may concern, a big thank you. I am a longtime Linux Firefox user. I had a secondary password, but somehow it has been deleted. I have changed my primary password and I have full access to Gmail, Youtube and other Google pages. My email address has always been the same for many years. It is recognised by Firefox when I type "My account on Firefox" though I am not allowed to enter another secondary email address.

When you check the image, you can see two "HOME" entries. This is an issue I discovered after uninstalling and reinstalling the Firefox browser and using Sync.

HOME is my PC, and this image was screenshot on my laptop.

Additionally, the Sync for these HOME entries is not functioning properly. I tested this by opening several sites, and while Sync works well from my smartphone to my PC, it doesn't sync properly from my PC to my laptop.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I tried rebooting my PC, but it didn't work out.

I have a desktop computer. I use Firefox as my browser. I've been playing the Marapets game for years. As of 2 days ago, I can't "buy" items in the Marapets.com game site. I can play the rest of the game, but cannot buy items. If I go to Chrome, I can buy items. I am told the BUY button is linked to CAPTCHA, but I don't know what that means. Would you be able to help me so I can continue to use Firefox for this game?

As a longtime user of Firefox, I had a nice setup where after the start page, clicking on the Firefox icon would take me to a page headed "Firefox" in large letters. On that page I had placed the icons for my frequently used programs. Each of the small "icon boxes" had menus that would allow entering a URL so that when clicked, the desired app would open. I was exploring MS Bing, mostly because I like the pictures they put up each day. It looks as though a "new Improved" version of Bing brings along the new MS AI component. Together they seem to have removed my Firefox setup or hidden it where I can't retrieve it. By using Firefox settings, I was able to remove the Bing URL. Good riddance!, but can I retrieve my page of links to most-used programs? I don't know where to look for that. If I have to reconstruct it, how is that done. Or how can I start a replacement. Even when i set it on start from where i left off, after closing my Mozilla desktop application my all tabs get reset which have been quite problematic for me.

In regards for this, please solve this problem as soon as possible as it keeps hindering with my work

I cannot play YouTube videos using Firefox with Windows 10. I still have to use Chrome, even after I cleared my cache and cookies. I reinstalled Firefox and then I could watch YouTube videos for a few days, but now they stopped working again.
