I exported my bookmarks from the Brave Browser, selected Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks>Import and Backup>Import Bookmarks from HTML Then navigated to the HTML file the selected "Open" but noting changed except that a small number of the bookmarks appears under "Recent Bookmarks" when I again select Bookmarks. Each item in this list is repeated according to the number of times I tried to import them.

Hi, I accidentally DLed FF88 without checking the details w/r/t functionality.

Several of the changes severely compromise my ability to use FF for my job.

Examples are the 'view image' which is now gone from right-click and replaced with 'open image in new tab' --this disrupts my work flow. And 'save image to pocket' etc is not useful for me, but happens to be right where I normally click on another function.

Is there a relatively seamless way to undo the FF88 'upgrade' ? TIA

I recently purchased a Mac M1, coming from a Windows / Linux environment. After installing Firefox, it requires an icon on my desktop to run. Then, every time I reboot, Firefox no longer recognizes me. My pins, history, etc. are all gone and I have to re-organize everything again.

Can you please help?

First I was stuck in an upgrade loop where Firefox would ask me to restart to install the upgrade but then isn't upgraded on restart. So I manually downloaded latest version from the website and installed it. Now after installing I lost my current session (opened tabs). I have enabled sync so I can still see the synced tabs in my Firefox account under my device, but I don't know how to open all tabs from a particular device.

How do I open all synced tabs from a particular device in Firefox 89 on macOS 11.3.1?

Every time I try to open Firefox it asks me for permission to install Firefox Software Updater. I then say no and Firefox opens with a notification to update to the latest version. I opted out from updates but the only option available is for the Firefox to ask before updating, there is no option to opt out definitively. Is there any solution to stop notifications and installing attempts?

Thanks in advance

Hello. I have Firefox set to notify me of new updates but though I always download them I don't immediately install them. My current version is 88.0.1.

Today I downloaded what I now know to be the all-new complete revamp version. But I don't want to install it on my main PC until I've looked into a little more and perhaps tried it out on a laptop. With it in

Is there a way of removing the downloaded version? With it in place, if I restart Firefox or reboot the computer it will automatically be installed, and I don't want that to happen just yet.

I'm running Windows 7 on a desktop PC.

Many thanks.

This morning I got a message to install Firefox V89.0. Visually this was a disaster for me. The bookmark list is now vertically spaced much wider so I have to scroll up and down the list rather than point and click. The tabs at the top of the screen which used to be easy to differentiate now blur into one. Worse still there was no easy way to back out this upgrade while I found a workaround to correct these problems? I have spent a couple of hours now, researching, exporting bookmarks, uninstalling Firefox, restarting computer, re-installing the old version (v88), Importing bookmarks, finding the icons that were on the bookmarks have disappeared, kicking the cat (metaphorically speaking), reinstalling the new tab add-in, making sue auto update is OFF. Basically a huge pain.

Is there no easy way to rollback updates? especially when the user interface changes are so invasive?

After an automatic update Firefox had a terrible surprise for me. A beyond ugly user interface. And NO WAY to fix this with a simple toggle switch back to classic mode. There are theme's available, but still it looks unusable to me. This kind of updates should be beyond Mozilla, maybe don't hire former Apple employees, the esthetics don't have to be " slick and modern"

So after a long fight with almost losing my plugins, saved tabs (100+) etc.. I downgraded successfully to 88.

Step 1 (Secure your profile) Open menu, Click Help, Click "More Troubleshooting Information" Go to the line which says, "Profile Folder" Hit open folder

Pay extra attention during these steps: Now you are browsing in your active profile. If you did this after upgrading to 89 version. Make a back-up copy of this whole folder!! Rename it back up.

Open the file "Compatibility.ini" with a text editor, and empty it. Save and close.

Download and install the previous version of Firefox, After installing don't forget to disable automatic updates.

If the profile isn't loaded, browse to "about:profiles" and find and select your profile to get al your plugins, tabs, favs, etc. back.

Its a terrible shame i need to write this down for people to avoid the frustration of a terrible update

I'm hoping to bring my Chrome favorites over to Firefox and use the easily. When I was using Chrome there was a problem with duplicate favorites and I think I have 3 sets of duplicate favorites. I asked about this online and I was told that by using switching to Firefox and then importing my favorites from Chrome would eliminate the duplicates. When I first brought them over they were put in my bookmark toolbar. I think I did this but what a mess. Is it better to take my Chrome bookmarks into a separate file where I can pick and choose the duplicate bookmarks and then bring them over to Firefox? Of course I don't know how you do that and I'm just not computer savvy. Thank you for your time and any help or advice you can give me. I'm just frustrated so thanks for your help.

Sincerely, Rob

Firefox won't stay downloaded to my computer. I am having to download it multiple times, especially if my computer has updates.

On a separate note, when it does actually stay on my computer over night, it never keeps me signed in to my Firefox account. I have to log in to it daily to have my bookmarks and passwords.

Also, it never remembers the theme I have picked for it. I would love some advice on how to fix this.

I've read through a ton of articles, and I can't seem to find a fix.

Dear Firefox community, I do not know why you are not solving your browser-short time memory loss problem! When I download a video / file, the internet is disconnected in the middle, and it takes a while to connect, then the download starts again from 0%! It wastes both my time and the internet. If the power connection is disconnected while downloading again - I don't get any backup of that file when I connect to the internet after the power connection is restored ...! However, other browsers have this advantage. I like Firefox a lot, but this short time memory loss system bothers me a lot. I hope to fix this issue in the next update.
