From my understanding all my settings would be transferred after saving my profile but after setting everything up i noticed my addons are gone/not activated. This would not be much of an issue besides that i can't seem to find some of the addons i use.

Any way to manually fix this?

How do I recover my previous version of Firefox which I accidentally signed out of while signing on to a zoom session? I got a completely different version when I signed in again. I need my private details from the previous browser.

I now have two Firefox apps downloaded and I'm not sure what to do. Please see the one I have attached since it has a completely different name: Windows MSIX Package Mozilla MSIX 1.0 The other app has the usual information such as Version, which is the same as the image I uploaded for you. The only difference between the two is Windows MSIX Package Mozilla MSIX 1.0 is excluded from the second Mozilla Firefox app.

The first one I downloaded was with the Windows app. through the Windows Store.

Now, what do I do? Obviously, I need to delete one of these and I don't know which one to delete or where to find these files.

Also, when I unpin the app from the taskbar both app icons come back.

Today I was adding Firefox to my Mac, as I want to get rid of Safari. (I already was using Firefox on my Surface laptop, and have stopped using Edge). But I must have pressed the wrong button; after I installed Firefox on my Mac, I wanted to import the bookmarks I have been using from Firefox on the other laptop. Instead, I somehow imported the Safari bookmarks to Firefox--I didn't want those! Then I went to the Surface laptop, and when I pulled up Firefox (I was signed in already from yesterday) it had also changed all my bookmarks to the Safari version---oh noooooo! Is there a way I can reverse everything and go back to the earlier version of Firefox with the bookmarks I want to use--not the ones from Safari? I am not going to touch anything else--afraid to make it worse! Thank you.

Hello! New Firefox user here migrating from Chrome due to all of the Manifest V3 things coming up soon. Quick question, how can you pin multiple profiles to the taskbar? In chrome this was hassle free and pretty much one-click, so I was surprised to find no way to do it so far. Any help in resolving this issue is much appreciated!

Seems like the Synchronize forgot the passwords that I saved to it.

Here is what happened: Before reinstalling Windows I created the Firefox account to save all passwords etc. On a fresh Windows I looged to Firefox account and got all my login data etc. without problems. Then I had to reinstall Windows again but after logging in to Firefox account there was no passwords - just the favourite tabs.

Is there a way to retrieve a version from a given date?

hello, I am using ubuntu 14.04 and when I check through software centre it is saying my firefox is up to date. yet the version that I am using is 66.0. please help me to go to the latest version

For the first time in my experience, Firefox (for 64-bit Windows 10) has failed to run when I click on the desktop icon. I see a brief turning circle (the indication that Windows is responding to my click), but Firefox never opens. I tried navigating to C:\Program Files\Mozilla\Firefox and clicking directly on firefox.exe. Same result.

I then uninstalled Firefox, downloaded a fresh copy (using another browser), and installed Firefox again. The installation appeared to complete successfully, but Firefox still fails to run. I did check my user directory under \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports. There is a file there called "InstallTime20230104165113", but the subfolder \submitted is empty.

My Windows software is up to date as of 15 Jan 2023. I ran a Windows Defender Offline scan today, just to be sure there's nothing nefarious going on. The scan found nothing to report. Everything else on the system is behaving normally.

I'd be grateful for any help you can offer. I've used Firefox for years on all my devices (Windows, Android, and Apple) and I am a big fan.

On your latest install Firefox 108.0.1 my tabs have moved to the bottom of my browser near my taksbar in window 10. The tabs are not working correctly. Please fix. Thank you.

P.S. it working in firefox safe mode. The tabs show a the top of screen and you can add multiple tabs.

firefox is downloading hulu in a timely manner. it will buffer for 5-9 minutes sometimes before i can use it and then all of the options are blank. i will try other platforms and hulu will download immediately. so, i am guessing it is a firefox issue.

How does one migrate Firefox bookmarks and passwords from an old computer to a new computer?

There are four computers involved in this shuffle. Two new, one being retired, and one being repurposed. The only thing we haven't been able to figure out, is how to migrate Firefox's information from one computer to another one.

And, we've been working on this since Christmas. Edge, Brave, and Chrome took minutes. Combined.

But, transferring the information on Firefox has been impossible. Yes, I've read the help topics. No, they were not helpful. Firefox will not accept either the backup or export files from the old Firefox across multiple computers.

Yes, I have Sync. And, no, that hasn't worked either.

So, what is the next step?

For the last week or two I have had an issue with Firefox closing my email (yahoo business mail) tab automatically, every time I download a file from an email.

After opening emial I click to download the file, i have the settings set to ask where I want it saved, and then either while I'm selecting the destination and labeling it, or right after the tab automatically closes. It happens both ways which suggests to me it's occurring after a specified amount of time, not based on completion of an action. And it's happening every time.

Hello everyone, Does someone know how to install Firefox on Ubuntu Touch phone?

I did install "Ubuntu touch" on my smartphone few weeks ago.

But without my favorite Firefox Navigator, this is useless for me !

Even a older version of Firefox will be fine. All i need for now, is a Sync of my configuration (bookmarks and Passwords Manager). Firefox should have app in Openstore for Ubuntu touch phones as its opensource and promotes security.

I just downloaded the new Mac Ventura update, and when I opened Firefox all my previous tabs opened up, but my Toolbar completely disappeared, as in there is an empty space for it, and they show when I click on Bookmarks, but not on the actual browser window. The same thing happened with my Add-on extensions, all disappeared, and they're not even showing in my library. When I tried to download them again online, every single one gave me a red error message "An unexpected error occurred during installation." Please advise what's going on and/or how I can fix this to get my normal browser back. Thanks

A few months ago when I updated to the latest version, as I always do, the bookmarks were not carried over. I restored to an earlier time to retrieve them and have been using an old version. Every time that I go to the program and when asked to update, I click "no." I am finding now that several websites will not accept Firefox. After 20 years of saving, I do not want to recreate, as I would have had to do at that time. Do I now upgrade to newest version and pray that my bookmarks are there?
