I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

As of yesterday, June 1, my theme changed in Firefox. It's too light and the dark one is too dark. Can I have the original one back? I've played around with different themes and I don't care for any of the fancy colored ones. I just want the top bar to be a darker gray like it was 2 days ago. I cannot distinguish from the top bar and the tabs now. It all blends as one color. Thank you. Barbara

I thought I'd post it here for other people to find. I run Linux Mint (64 bit) so this may effect Ubuntu as well and potentially other distributions. After the update to version 89 Firefox was COMPLETELY transparent. I saw more of the background than I did of the browser or the websites. After doing some digging around I found I had to enable layers.acceleration.disabled in config:about.

To do this open Firefox and in the address bar type config:about Do a search for layers.acceleration.disabled Double click it to enable it Close firefox and re-open it to verify your transparency is gone.

Hello FF friends, This is a Chinese FF user who last night updated some anti-censorship App which unexpectedly automatically set the proxy in Proxy Server, LAN Settings, Connectivity, Internet Options, IE6. Therefore, when I turned off that anti-censorship App, my FF failed to view any webpage. Before I could understand the true reason for this inability, I had uninstalled the latest FF version 88.01 and then reinstalled this version (or early version), adding backup xxx.default into Profiles (C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\) and making proper configuartions in .ini files, but FF would not work properly, even after trying a few times of un- and re-installations. Guessing the system might have been ruined for improper manipulation, I even restored Drive C from the early backup system (Win 10, which is good) using Ghost 11, and then installed FF again, for a few time. However, no matter what the version installed is, 84.01, 85 or 88.01, they are all "handicapped". I've been using FF for 10 years, and this is the first time I meet this big problem. It is really frustrating... The problems are: 1. No connectivity, while all the other browers are good for viewing webpages. 2. Nearly all buttons, menus are just unfuntional. When I turn off FF, I have to do it via Task Manager by end task. I have collected many pages in Favoriates, and stored many usernames and passwords for useful websites. Therefore I hope you friends could kindly help me with this FF problem. And if it cannot be solved, which I hope not, I would desire to have a solution to properly export data in my backup xxx.default (favourites, usernames & passwords) into Windows Edge and Google Chrome. Thank you very much!

Just today have gotten new messages in red, suspicious window on two of normal news web sites.

A question about the option, Exceptions - Cookies and Site Data

Can I use wildcards in the Manage Exceptions List? Than how is it written "address/website" in the input line? Because your Firefox browser doesn't block all of the Tracking Cookies and Advertising Cookies also Third Party Cookies from being download in to the browser cache too! I have other software on my PC that tell me that there's spyware cookies on my computer and gives me a log file of it, and by deleting the cookies doesn't solve the problem or the issue because the information has already been transmitted by the COOKIE or the set of COOKIES to the other websites computers that are link to that webpage or webpages. I would like use wildcards in this operation okay.

Couple Examples of this see below. Adware/Tracking Cookie: potomac-clickstream.capitalone.com [ C:\USERS\NAME\APPDATA\ROAMING\MOZILLA\FIREFOX\PROFILES\DFNBN1BO.DEFAULT-BETA\COOKIES.SQLITE ]. .doubleclick.net [ C:\USERS\NAME\APPDATA\ROAMING\MOZILLA\FIREFOX\PROFILES\ICEI14WC.DEFAULT-RELEASE\COOKIES.SQLITE ]. These cookies are shown as a domain and not as websites. All of the cookies are hidden within this file "COOKIES.SQLITE".

Maybe something like this one that other chrome browsers use: > [*.]potomac-clickstream.capitalone.com <. Or maybe something like this one: > *://*.doubleclick.net/* <. like Internet Explorer uses this to block websites and/or allow websites in its options

I what to prevent these cookies from being download into the Firefox browser on my PC computer!

Since upgrading to FF89 (the new Proton UI) I've noticed a change in behavior when I try to perform a web search from a New Tab. When I try to type a search string in the Google search bar on a New Tab, any character I type immediately appears in the address bar (see attached image) and search suggestions are shown in a drop down under the address bar.

With FF88 (the old Photon UI) I could type my entire search string into the Google search bar and then hit "Enter" to start the search.

Is this a bug in the way that searches are performed from a New Tab in the Proton UI or a deliberate design change? Is there some setting I can change to stop the Proton UI from running my searches from the address bar when I search from a New Tab?

An image of my New Windows and Tabs settings is also attached, and my default search engine at Settings | Search | Search | Default Search Engine is set to Google. Note that I live in Canada and the custom URL for my Home Page is set to Google Canada (https://www.google.ca/), but any searches that runs from the address bar defaults to Google.com (e.g., https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=<search string>).

Hi, After the recent update to Firefox-89, I encounter problems with the functionality of many websites, which issues include: - some data on the websites won't display - links on the websites don't work (clicking on them result in no action, or will block the website) I did not have these problems before the update, nor do they occur with Microsoft Edge

Suddenly, all the favicons for my bookmarks are lost. Maybe it's because of a HP Cleaning tool.

However: Why doesn't Firefox "reload" the favicons when I open the bookmarks? Can I force the favicons to be re-loaded?

The new icons which are in version 89 are very low resolution and the download progress thing is missaligned to it's unmoving part. Does anyone know how to fix this?

So my firefox updated today, and now my bookmarks are separated, well everything, with a larger distance.

So my bookmarks are 3 miles long, as opposed to 1 mile, so now I am spending another hour having to scroll down.

How do I get it to the previous version where the font is not so large and separated by a larger empty white space, for no other reason other than what..?

This new font, extra white space that does nothing and is there for no reason version is just god awful..

Now, I am having a very hard time believing this issue as I was just on this website yesterday (using Firefox), and I just got on with my Android phone using Firefox and it is fine on my phone but not on my computer.

Is this a censoring thing? It is a really big issue as it is impeding my ability to run my business, and this is where I order many of my supplies.
