I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I'm on Firefox 3.6.8. I know that they're not bookmarks. I've of course highlighted them, and deleted with the DEL key, but when I type them in they come back. I deleted places.sqlite, I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. It was fine for a few minutes, but then the entire history came back. What can I do to get rid of it?

Oh, and switching it to only showing Bookmarks or Nothing doesn't seem to work

when using private browsing if i open some sites or if i download any file on a shared computer whether the information will store or can be viewed on the server computer

This has happened twice in the past week. When I create a new folder nested inside two other existing folders, another folder in another branch is renamed to the newly-created folder's name. The folder that is being renamed is inside the Links folder. (I am not expecting an answer. I cannot find another place where I can report an issue with the browser.)

How do I restore the feature where a click on my upper bookmark tabs takes me DIRECTLY to already signed in website page rather than the login (though filled in) page??

Using Firefox 3.6.8 I no longer see the box that lets me accept/reject cookies before they are sent by a website. How do I restore this feature?

earlier i was using IE8. i could add favorites onto favorite bar and then make all those url appeared as icons rather than "icon with text", so as to have a view of all my favorites at a time. but i can't find this option here in Firefox 4.0 beta 2.

I am traveling in Germany and using someone's wireless router. My home page is set as Google.com but is coming up as .de and is in German. Even if I put the correct address in the navigation bar it still comes up as the German version of google. How can I make it stay as the home page I set it for which is google.com in English?

My profile folder has more than five dozen old bookmark files, each with a different suffix number. These files have modified dates going back to 2006. Do I need these or are they safe to delete?

i have followed all steps to save my passwords but none are working, i recently cleared everything out in the options because i thought cookies were freezing my pc, now when i login to a site my pw's r not saved at all no matter whhat your help file tells me to do.

FF updated to 3.6.8 today. I misread the install question re: importing bookmarks and selected 'do not import'. I meant to not import any from IE, but to keep my FF bookmarks. The only Bookmarks.html file I can find on my drive is the empty default one from the new upgrade. Is my old file saved anywhere so I can restore it? I'm running Window XP. Thanks for any help!

Some favicons do not load when I go to their pages. For example, one of the pages is www.sporcle.com. I know it has an icon because on my other computer with firefox it displays. I alreatd went to the media tab in Tools|Page info, and there is no icon/favicon. PLEASE HELP!

When I attempt to bookmark a page each step appears to work, but when I go to the bookmark tab they aren't there. I go to recently bookmarked most of them appear.

I went into Firefox and saved the setting: "Firefox will remember my tabs and windows from last time." But I also told Firefox to not save my history, now whenever I close it and reopen it, it takes me to one tab, Google. When I had 6 tabs opened when I closed it, do tabs count as history?

I've had this problem for at least half a year now and have completely uninstalled firefox several times and have no add-ons. Noone at firefox seems to be able to, or want to help fix this problem so I'm done....

I've uninstalled firefox and will start using google crome. You had your chance firefox, and you failed.

Bookmarks doesn't work everytime there is a firefox update. Its a recurring problem The most recent update is to firefox 3.6.8.

I cleaned up a malware infection and, upon opening Firefox, I got a notice that a new add-on had been installed. It is called XULRunner 1.9.1 and appears to be from Mozilla. Given that I'd just had the malware infection, though, I'm suspicious of anything new adding itself.

Could anyone tell me if this is a legitimate add-on and what exactly it's for/does? Thank you very much!

I had told the computer to delete cookies when I shut the computer off. I followed your route to Tools > Options > Privacy > History and saw that Accept all cookies until they expire was already checked. BUT unchecking Clear history when Firefox closes reversed the problem (I had checked it -- now I unchecked it). Thanks for directing me to that location. Yahoo! keeps me logged in now!

I want to transfer bookmarks from my old computer to my new computer, but I would like a selective transfer e.g. some, but not all. Can this be done? If so, how? Thanks
