I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Up-to-date Firefox on Windows 10 laptop. Today, for the 2nd time in a week or so, the “mailto” function has disappeared; i.e., if I click a “Send email” link on a webpage, the Windows dialogue box to select a mail app pops up. When I check the applications setting, mailto doesn't appear in the list.

The first time this happened, I found online instructions to refresh Firefox and select Gmail as the mail client. I don’t mind doing it again, but I am concerned about the problem occurring so soon after the recent refresh.

I´ve found out, that this Workaround seems to no longer to work since Ver. 101.0.1 (last working Ver.)

This is especially regarding Downloads triggered out of the embedded PDF Viewer in Firefox, when You click on the "Download PDF" Symbol.

Until this Ver. You could still bring back the "Choose What you want to do with the file" Window if You set the mentioned about:config setting to false (linked thread above).

I see this actually as quite crucial and almost a bug, since You will have departments with Workflows build around this. - Thank You for any insight or help

Just jumped from 91ESR to 102ESR, and am annoyed by some new "features". (That's why I use ESR, so this doesn't happen often.)

First, I noticed that the default for downloading changed from "ask" to "save". I eventually found how to fix that, but, in the process of searching, I typed "firefox download" in the urlbar, and suddenly up popped "Trying to fix a problem?", suggesting I reset Firefox.

I'm old enough to remember Clippy (look it up), and feel the same way as I did then. Call this new feature "Flippy".

I did some searches, found that this behavior has been called "intervention" (I prefer "Flippy"). I also found old sugesstions on how to disable it, but they don't seem to work.

Even Microsoft provided a way of disabling Clippy. How do I disable "Flippy"?

I have my language settings to English, and English ONLY.

When I open multiple sites, or even try to log in and view my passwords ~ it constantly displays in Russian or some other language.

There is no helpful solution posted, and I have no idea to fix this. Again ~ only English is set in my personal settings.

Any advice?

Hi, good day/evening you all. Hey with a temporary disability I have a real need to limit my mousing and would love to see a feature request I could give a thumbs up on -- for the 3 line menu at the top right being accessible via keyboard. (Also at least some of the choices on it such as History via a hotkey -- after I have the main menu open. By the way I know about pressing Alt, then any of the hotkeys on the old school hidden menu bar -- I'm instead talking about the new always visible hamburger menu icon.)

Where would I search to see if there's been any discussion or progress on that? Bugzilla?

My firefox is upto date, even re downloaded it and refreshed it. I go to the add on's menu and chose any one, and every one when i download it says "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt."

I currently have this add-on installed. It allows you to you highlight certain text, then right click and open up a link to Wiktionary in another tab. Up until a few minutes ago, this menu item was at the very top of the list (i.e. above "undo" and all the rest), but now it's been moved down with all the other add-ons. Image for further clarity.

The add-on hasn't been updated in 6 years, so it's certainly not that. I don't recall doing anything to make it change, but before this, it had been at the top of the menu ever since I added it maybe 2 years ago. Is there any potential way to restore this functionality? The fact that it appeared at the very top of the menu might have been a bug, but if that's the case, it was certainly a convenient one.

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to hearing from you fine folks in this community.

I DO NOT LIKE THE LARGER BARS AT THE TOP. It takes 1/3 of my screen. Give a choice or adjustment to bar sizes. I can't see all that I use to be able to see. Now I am looking for a new internet browser that is more like the one you use to have. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW VERSION!!!!!!!

I'm trying to generate API key to access addon APIs using the addons.mozilla.org -> tools->Manage Api Keys.

As web screen states before generating the key I need to confirm it via email, however no confirmation email was sent to "[email address]". This might be relevant to the issue, the account email was changed from "[email address]" to "[email address]" some time ago.

We've checked the following link trying to troubleshoot the issue on our end, but had no success. We haven't found the way how to resend the email via UI.

Could you please resend the confirmation email for API key to "[email address]" once more?

i try to use firefox multiaccount container but it does not work. Better said if i add the add-on it does not show up in system bar (up in the right corner), but you can see it in the add-ons and themes setting menu. So there is only half of layout given but no function of it at all compairing to other persons using it, e.g. "how to use firefox multiaccount container tutorial videos" etc. Trying to handel the settings of it with the add-ons and themes menu does not help.

I use the firefox browser protable eddion for windows at my laptop and it seems to be that all settings are recent. As well it does not seem to be that i use there any privat tab where it does not work i guess?!

May someone can help me?

Hello! Hoping someone can help with this new (to me) issue. I've searched and can't seem to find any articles/threads.

When I open the wifi menu on my laptop, I also see a media player featuring a video I watched three days ago (image attached). I've used my computer several times since then and didn't notice it. It also doesn't appear to be functional, as when I click play, nothing happens.

Is there a setting I'm missing to get this to go away and to prevent it from coming back again?

I wanted to adjust some system preferences after installing the new FF 100 OS. Found I can't, either by menu or by keyboard shortcut. How do I get my access back? Using Mac OS 10.13.6. Do I need to go back to previous FF 99 version?

Why why why why is FF forcing download of pdf files? It is a horrible problem for me.

Especially because I am a university prof and, in the classroom, constantly display (my own!) files from the course management system on the classroom devices. I DO NOT WANT MY FILES SAVED ONTO THE (PUBLIC) CLASSROOM DEVICE. Never mind multiple copies as it will download EACH AND EVERY TIME I open it.

I have been looking everywhere for a solution or a way to disable this feature, there seems to be no such option but I am seeing a lot of posts from people who object to this as much as I do.

After many many years of loyally using FF and a paid subscriber to some Mozilla services, I am afraid I am going to have to give up using FF is this isn't fixed NOW.

My firefox collapsed a couple of times (I don't blame it my browsing contained around 40 tabs XD). However, when I restarted the browser all of my addons went missing also I cannot add any new addons tried the ones recommended by the browser. I also tried to update the browser and all the troubleshooting options I could find. The issue is not detected by any troubleshooting I tried. So please help me restore somehow my addons or at least make me able to install addons at all. Thanks

Hello, I just built a new PC and have a fresh install of Firefox.

As seen in the image, the default 'search' that I type into the address bar is trying to go to a webpage (the web/globe icon) I would like it to default to search, (like the magnifying glass icon), rather than having to press the down arrow to get to it.

I had this functionality on the old computer. Curious how to get it back. Thank you.

"Open previous windows and tabs" is checked but it's not working. I had to go to history and opened it. It's happening for the last several weeks.
