Hello,

I have the following query. I have two certificates from infoNotary with which I am using for work. One private and one business certificate. In Firefox "privacy and security " options I have put the check to" ask me every time " which certificate to use when I am login into different pages that require it. When I log in a site for example the ministry of finance website, I am not getting the drop down menu to select which certificate I can use. This occurred after the latest firefox update. In order to use this options I am forced in Privacy and Security options -> cookies and site data to check the " delete cookies when firefox is closed." Only then when I restart Firefox I am getting the option to choose which certificate I want to use. This is an inconvenience for me, as whenever I log into a site I am pushed to agree and accept cookies and data. I want to be able to automatically accept cookies after the first acceptance and still be prompted to select which certificate I would like to use.

Hello,

I would like to know why all of a sudden video clips, some web sites and my online banking I get "did not connect" Security Issues, or expired certificates. I don't have these issues on any of my other browsers. I am inclined to believe they don't exist. I can log into my online banking but the page with my account data is blank.

I will give one example of many. In the past, I must have accidentally typed https://mail.wizathon.com. The correct URL is http://mail.wizathon.com. Now when I try to get to the http version, Firefox automatically switches it to https, which fails. To fix this, I have always gone to Options -> Privacy -> Clear Site Settings and poof, the http version would work. I have tried this, I have tried "forgetting the site", I have looked in my profile and the site isn't listed there, I have tried Refreshing my Firefox, I have gone into my about: config and updated the htsc to false. I am out of options. Something happened in the last 2 weeks to cause this unwanted behavior.

SSL client certificates do not work on Firefox 74.0 64-bit (Windows 10) and smartcards as expected. The smartcard gets accessed via PKCS #11 library.

When the client certificate is placed into the software security module, Firefox can send it to the requesting web server and it works as expected.

Once the very same certificate was successfully imported into a smartcard and removed from the software security module, authentication fails in Firefox with "SEC_ERROR_LIBRARY_FAILURE". The nginx web server reports: SSL_do_handshake() failed (SSL: error:14094438:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert internal error:SSL alert number 80) while SSL handshaking, client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: 0.0.0.0:443

When using Chrome, the same client certificate from the same smartcard gets used and successfully connects to the web server.

Is there a known issue for this? How can this problem be narrowed down? Is there some kind of debug log file to get further information?

Hi. Probably the biggest savings and loan institution in the UK is the Nationwide Building society. 16 million customers and holds £6 Billion in deposits. Their https certificate is issued by ESET. But the information box under the padlock says: 'Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognised by Mozilla'. Why doesn't Mozilla recognised ESET? There are no issues when using MS Edge or Opera. https://www.nationwide.co.uk/

Kind regards - Andrew

On saturday our global sertificate expired and we renewed it a bit late. Now Firefox users cant visit our site, seeing this error message.

   Secure Connection Failed.
Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information: Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number.

   Error code: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Unfortunately the only way to fix it we found is deleting the whole profile, deleting the sertificates themselves does not work for us. It is very difficult for our users to do it. Can you please help us with this problem?
