I get why the domain is highlighted, and it's good! But the rest of the URL can be hard to read, especially with dark themes (see screenshot, taken of this page's URL bar, using the default Dark theme). I have tried to find a dark theme with better contrast, but haven't had any success.

Is there a setting that I can change to set the font colors or contrast between them?

I use Firefox for genealogy research because it always keeps track of which pages I've previously accessed since their hyperlink will change color. Today, I ran Microsoft's PC Manager software and it suggested clearing the cache of Chrome and Edge. For some reason it also must have cleared the cache of Firefox since the previously accessed hyperlinks are no longer a different color. Since I had a created a restore point this morning before installing PC Manager, I restored the system to that point. Following the restore, Firefox would not open so I re-installed it from the website. I had previously backed up the profile folder and so copied that to the new profile folder of the fresh install. My bookmarks and history seem to be fine but I still don't see a color difference in the previously accessed hyperlinks. Any suggestions on how to get them back would be greatly appreciated.

How do I get the sidebar (with vertical tabs) to be expanded whenever I open a new window of firefox? Despite always opening it, whenever I open a new firefox window, it is collapsed.

I'm using version 149.0 (64-bit) from the Fedora repositories.

For the last couple of days, the address bar on the web apps that I've installed to my taskbar has been shrunk to about a third its usual length. I don't have flexible space put anywhere on my toolbar, and the problem is only on the sites I've put in the taskbar, not in regular browser windows. Is there a way to fix it, and get it back so it reaches all the way to the extension icons?

I'm using Firefox 147.0.1 on Windows 11, Version 25H2, Build 26200.7623, if that helps

My computer recently went through a restore to an earlier time this month. Only after the restore was complete did I realize that I would loose all my settings and would have to reinstall things like firefox even though firefox was functioning at the time of the restore. I believe I am logged back in to my account as my bookmarks menu is still there and in fact has duplicated itself again. That said I want my bookmarks menu to be put back on the left side of my screen. The Dell computer rep could not figure out how to restore my bookmarks menu back to where I had it previously and says I just have to live with it. I have searched but apparently am not using the correct terms on how to reset up my typical firefox screen. Is there anybody that can help me figure out how to restore my bookmark menu on the left side of the screen and if possible get rid of the duplicate that was created when the dell person was working on my computer. I just got a new laptop and installed Firefox 149 on it, but I can't get it looking and working like I want it to. It syncs with my desktop Firefox for my bookmarks and history, but the Bookmark Toolbar is in the wrong place, above the address and menu bar.

Most annoying is that I can't see my tabs......I can scroll through them with Ctl-Tab, but I can't see them laid out at the top of the screen, and I can't manually choose or close any tab. My bookmark toolbar looks like where I expect the tabs to be.......I thought that Firefox was automatically opening all the bookmarks in my toolbar into tabs, but if that were the case I would scroll through them with Ctl-Tab, which I cannot. That appears to be the toolbar, not open tabs.

So......the toolbar is above the menu bar, not below it, and my tabs aren't visible. My bookmark toolbar setting is set to "always show",

How can I control the intensity of dark mode, if its possible? If, not what?

Some website uses different colored font that is absolutely invisible on a dark mode page.

Previously, I made a custom scale ".3,.5,.6,.7, .71, .72, .73, .74, .75, .76, .77,.78,.79, .8,.9,1," and thus using Ctrl + the mouse wheel allowed you to set any scale in this way, since when "Ctrl + mouse wheel" the page was scaled by 10% regardless of the values. That is, I could set 74% and use Ctrl + mouse wheel to make the page scale 64% or 84%, even without the available value. Now I can't do this because now my "Ctrl + mouse wheel" doesn't increase/decrease 10%, but just scrolls through the set values. How to get everything back? It's very annoying, I can't use it.

When Firefox opened a couple of days ago ago the layout changed without my doing anything. I have a approximate 3/4 inch gap that wasn't there before. Can't figure out how to get it back the way it was before. Thank You

I am using version 147.0.1 (don't know when last update) For the last 1.5 hrs I have been trying to restore the extensions icons as well as other, to the tool bar. when I close "customize" after putting them there they disappear, as does the "puzzle" piece I put up there. What is going on? I have read numerous articles on how to fix this to no avail. Only one character will stay to the right of the added search bar.
