Does clicking add to Firefox for an add-on download anything if you do not click the install button?
Does clearing the history remove anything downloaded?

had an add on installed somehow called searchqu. It will not allow me to have msn as my home page. I removed the add on and still have the same trouble.

But, there is no apparent facility for deleting them from my browser. Can they in fact be deleted completely from my system?
When I upgraded to 11.0 all my extesnions vanished, it says I have no add ons. Where are they?

Hello, can someone tell me if there are any plans (for future versions of FF) that Firefox will automatically check for latest versions of plugins/addons and disable out-dated plugins (like G.Chrome is doing right now). I´m specially interested in Java (JRE)?
It can be serious issue for our clients if older versions of JRE will be disabled automatically.

Some time later, I learn the nortons toolbar will now work in the newest FF so I upgrade. When the new FF rev comes out, I go through it again. Is there a way to test toolbars before installing the newest FF?

Many of them say that they'll be updated when Firefox is restarted; some of them ostensibly appear to be working, but clicking on the 'preferences' button provokes no response. I have Firefox 3.6.13. I've tried uninstalling and then re-installing one of the extensions (Stumbleupon) but to no avail. Do I need to be re-installing Firefox here?
After upgrading to Firefox 4.0, I went back to Firefox 3.6 because plug-ins, such as Media Player, simply wouldn't work with 4.0. Do they now work with 4.0.1?
