Windvine Content Description Module updated - problem fixed. I had alternately disabled both Windvine and OpenH264 Video Codex, closed and restarted FireFox with no success. This AM, I updated Windvine, closed and reopened FireFox. Amazon Prime video now works very well. Thanks for your trouble shooting tips ! OS Monterey 12.7 FireFox 118.0.2 PS: FF Tab Manager has returned speedy browsing. Horray !

Firefox is not asking where save downloaded files. I have the checkbox checked which indicates it should ask every time. I also followed some instructions on here about going to the about:config page and changing a setting to false, but that didn't do anything.

I need to see every website that has been visited on Firefox from my account from Sept 2022 to Oct 2023. Please advise how I would go about doing this.

Well, basically that. On normal browse ( no incognito ) tabs will re open if I re-launch firefox, even with the "Open previous windows and tabs" option off.

Am I missing something or is it normal ?

Why is the print on my website (angeleducators.com) so tiny in Firefox? It looks much better on Chrome and Safari.

Recently, in the past month or so, I have been having issues with my VPN addon Private Internet Access, my email provider Shortwave, and loading numerous websites. I tried troubleshooting it for a few weeks individually but it took a full Firefox refresh last week to get things working again. And it took only another week for everything to stop working again. The images in my emails are no longer loading (same issue as before), but they load in Gmail and I can download the emails properly, my VPN addon crashes and can't stay logged in same as before, and websites such as Nextdoor (I hate the drama but love the free goods) won't load the items for sale same as before.

I don't want to have to refresh every week, especially since I this is the computer I use for work and the amount of things I have to log back into is insane.

Good day. I just noticed that saving a bookmark to an Amazon page shows the full address in the title of the bookmark now, instead of the description of the page. I checked and this does not happen on other sites, like YouTube, where the video title is still given correctly. This make it very hard to find the bookmarked Amazon items. Thank you for your help. Love Firefox! PS: I'm a Firefox "Power User" when it comes to Bookmarks. I have over 8000 bookmarks and regularly back them up. I have some other suggestions regarding Bookmarks in Firefox if you are interested. Regard, K

Today, out of the blue, my email screen adjusted itself to be very, very tiny. I almost need a magnifier to read it! I cannot find how to put it back to normal!

Please help!

Dear Mozilla

Long time user (love it) but the browser is consuming a lot of memory. With the same windows open in Chrome, Firefox is consuming 5 times the amount making the system slower glitchy.

This has been an issue for awhile and I checked all the posted solutions. Either the software is consuming an that is normal or something is running in the background. Firefox is at 1831.5 MB as I type this.

Can I uninstall then reinstall? or is everything going to return?

I have two PCs, both running the same versions of Firefox for years. A little over a year ago, after an update, a new "Private" icon appeared in my taskbar in addition to the normal Firefox icon on one of my machines, but not the other one. This presented, and functioned as two different, independent browser applications; I could just click on the private browser icon to open the private browser without opening the "regular" Firefox. I don't know where this came from, but I like it... but it never changed on my other PC, and I can't find how to apply it; is there a setting or something I'm missing? Why did it happen automatically on one machine, but not the other?

A couple of weeks ago the scroll wheel on my Logitech mouse stopped working with Firefox. It works fine on all other applications on my computer but will not work on any web page or any Firefox menu. I am not using XMBC. I updated to Firefox 119.0.1 this morning and it didn't make any difference.

None of my installed Add-Ons will open. This occurred after running in "Refresh Mode" to correct a different problem.

The prior problem involved not opening bookmarks in a new tab even though the config:about entry was set correctly.

Is it possible there is a config:about entry that prevents any add-on from running?

My Firefox (just updated to latest version) will not show videos from Ring.com. This has been going on for over a month and spans several version releases. However, I can get other browsers (Safari, Chrome, Vivaldi) to view the videos. (I am using a Mac, latest operating system.) I have just been trying to view a video from my Ring account for the last 10 minutes and it will not load and show.

Can you help?
