Hello, I am currently using Firefox Beta and I would like to switch to the regular Firefox Release without losing any of my data (browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, add-ons, and settings). I would appreciate guidance on the safest recommended method. Specifically:

Is it safe to install the Release version over Firefox Beta, or could this cause data loss or profile conflicts?

What is the best way to create a full backup of my Firefox profile beforehand?

Should I expect any issues with add-ons after moving from Beta to Release?

Do you recommend enabling Firefox Sync as an additional safeguard, or is a profile backup enough?

In case something goes wrong, what are the recommended recovery steps?

You guys keep hijacking my browser and stopping all my work on a near weekly basis. Shutting down my ability to work on projects and stopping my browser from functioning in the middle of use. I can't even pay bills without you guys interrupting my browser with your bullcrap.

This is unacceptable. I've gone through great lengths trying to stop you from hijacking my browser. I installed a policy generator and followed the instructions to put a policy in. I uninstalled Firefox's background updater tool. I disabled automatic updates in the settings to the best of my ability.

I've gone through everything I can think of trying to stop your forced updates. Its unethical what Mozilla is doing to its users. I even tried to lock policies with admin only authorizations but firefox couldn't read the file anymore when I did that. I did confirm today that the policy file was still working, when Firefox ignored it and shut down my browser till I restarted it. I confirmed that Firefox is blatently ignoring policies.

I just checked and Background Maintnence was installed again when I didn't want it. You're now installing software against my will too? What the hell is going on.

Once again, when I updated Firefox, it changed a LOT of my settings, including displaying the toolbar and open tabs bar.

When this happened last - months ago - it seems Mozilla realized this had happened to a lot of users, and managed to restore us to all the information that had been "lost".

I hope you can do that again, and can find a way to not put at least ME, and I'd bet a lot of other users, through the OMG!!! What do I do NOW?! panic.

Hallo und guten Tag, auf meinem Desktop habe ich seit einigen Tagen einen neuen Ordner mit der Bezeichnung - Alte Firefox-Daten - . Ich kann den Ordner leider nicht löschen. Alle Versuche sind bisher gescheitert.

Habe Mozilla Firefox schon 2-mal deinstalliert etc. Der besagte Ordner lässt sich trotzdem nicht löschen.

Angeblich wegen fehlender Berechtigung. Was kann ich machen?

This refurbished laptop was purchased from Best Buy in August 2022 with a Windows 10 OS. When a free upgrade was offered by Microsoft to Windows 11, it was accepted. Why are there no drivers with a version 11 prefix?

I keep getting a triangle deal on Firefox that indicates I need to add the "permission request for Firefox extensions" from Mozilla. Is this something I need to install or just information regarding extensions. From reading about this it doesn't appear to be safe because it can access and change nearly everything? I have 2 almost identical Windows 11 Pro 64 bit machines but Firefox is different One has MSIX-1.0 and doesn't update while the other has Firefox 141.0.3 and updates regularly!!!

I don't like the MSIX-1.0 version and want both machines to use Firefox 141.0.3

How do I fix??? Best regards
