Can't add a Bookmarklet to Bookmark Menu. Any solutions?

Hi all. I'm trying to add Instapaper's 'Send to Kindle Bookmarklet' to the Menu Bar of Firefox on Mac and it won't work.

I've followed Mozilla suggestions when bookmarklets fail to add (essentially it's about making sure the places.sqlite-wal file in the Profiles folder is unlocked -- which it now is), but nothing changes.

Following other articles online, I've discovered that Bookmarklets in general (ie not just this one) won't install, though I have cookies temporarily off, pop-ups temporarily unblocked, the specific site marked as an exception etc, but nothing works.

Because it's not just an Instapaper issue, I'm hoping someone here more tech-minded than me might know the solution.

Broken bookmarks

It looks like now Firefox bookmarks every page I visit. This is not right! I only want to bookmark pages I explicity request to be bookmarked. How can we fix this? … (funda kabanzi)

Every since the last update my bookmarks are trash. I fix them but they do not stay, my toll bar book mark is gone.

How to convert bookmarks.html to workable text of folders, titles and urls?

Hello, any best practices for converting Firefox bookmarks once they're exported? The exported_bookmarks.html are an html file which are impossible to edit. Converting so… (funda kabanzi)

Hello, any best practices for converting Firefox bookmarks once they're exported? The exported_bookmarks.html are an html file which are impossible to edit. Converting so the data for folders, titles and urls can be edited is what's needed.

I tried Vi with some Regex code, however the cleaned file is not so clean.

Lost bookmark feature

Firefox updated last night and now my bookmarks feature is not working. All of my previous bookmarks are missing. I tried syncing several times to no avail. 

 Also, I tried several times to "Bookmark Current Tab" and that feature does not work.  Nothing pops up to select where to file bookmark and when I go back to check, there are still no entries in the Bookmarks. 
 I checked, and I am signed in with my Gmail account.
 When I select a new tab, none of the icons for previously used websites are below the Google search bar.

how do i add youtube to bookmark or tool bar to go directly to it from firefox

somehow i lost my Youtube in the task/ bookmark tool bar i was trying to add something and it had book mark bar up there i removed it and now i can no longer pu… (funda kabanzi)

somehow i lost my Youtube in the task/ bookmark tool bar i was trying to add something and it had book mark bar up there i removed it and now i can no longer put you tube in there any more i have tried taking it from bookmark and from desktop and from anywhere i had it saved and tried dragging it up to the mar but i can not what can i do to get it there
