Every once in a while, my pinned tabs and/or my tab groups disappear. this usually happens after an update, but not always. Sometimes I type a lot of commands, and FF seems to get upset and freezes or goes black. I restart and poof, they're gone. I made a screenshot of my standard pinned tabs so I can restore it from that, which is a nuisance in itself. But the tab groups are gone forever along with the urls I painstakingly researched. I read the answers to two previous queries along these lines, both of which gave extensive, tedious procedures to recover them. I'm not willing to go through all that just to use Firefox. I've switched my tab groups to Edge just to keep them safe and although I prefer not to be captured by Google or Microsoft, am thinking about just switching to either of them.

Over the last couple of updates, FF has seemed less and less stable. I tried the vertical tabs and liked them but the open sidebar on hover stopped working and when the sidebar itself got stuck on open it hid the history and AI sidebars. Plus FF was very slow to open. I reverted to horizontal tabs and now it's faster but still the pins and tab group problems persist.

I'm using it on an HP desktop in Windows 11. Sorry I don't have any screenshots.

I use the same laptop at two locations. I have different printers at each (both HP, one a laser the other an inkjet).

Most of my time is at location 1. Typically I can print without a problem. Recently in Firefox ONLY I have been unable to print at location 2.

Scenario:

1. I print to the laser printer at location 1. No problem.
2. I go to location 2 and choose to print - the print dialog appears with a "spinner" and it does not go away.

I have to cancel using Esc. I am unable to print at all from Firefox. Typically if I close Firefox after that, it looks closes but is still shown as running in Task Manager.

Other programs such as Word and other browsers bring up a dialog box showing that "the printer cannot be contacted" and allows cancellation. At this point I can choose the local inkjet printer and all is well.

Hello. Firstly I have NO troubles accessing the internet via Firefox (my Default browser). My problem is that none of my "saved" websites (including those appearing on the Bookmarks Toolbar) will open on the internet when I click on them. If I type the internet address into the address bar, the site opens as normal. I do not have this problem if I use Chrome. The problem only commenced today following an update by Norton via Norton 360. I have attempted all the suggestions that Norton have supplied other than re-installing Firefox - and none of their suggestions have solved my predicament. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated to fix this most annoying problem. Thank you, Ron.

Just now will not save a page to bookmark folder, even in trouble shoot mode. Know how to save. See pages in recently closed pages, but do not know what is the cause. Should I refresh, tried close and reboot system. Let me know some steps to analyze the cause and remove it. Thanks, but don't under stand the method to ge Troubleshooting Information.

Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. Hello It is impossible to display the icons of certain applications since I used Firefox. This problem does not exist with Chromium browsers (Chrome Brave...) Thank you for your help

On all three computers, I have "Always ask you where to save files." On all three computers, it never asks and always stores in Download.

On my work computer, Outlook's problem is that all hyperlinks open in browsers while we use Sharepoint links. I want the pdfs to open in Acrobat. I've changed the Applications section, just below Downloads, to use Acrobat for pdf files. I was hoping that would mean Outlook would tell Firefox, my default browser, to open the pdf, FF would see it's a pdf, and it would open Acrobat. That's not happening.

Any clues how to resolve either?

Went to bed last night & firefox was fine.

Opened it this morning & I don't see my bookmarks. The folders on the toolbar from Africa to Healthcare all say empty. Lottery thru web cameras have links in them that I can see. I I open another tab & go to google, then save that bookmark in the google folder it won't let me yet edit bookmark shows.

If I click edit bookmark it tells me that it's in the google folder already yet when I click on the folder, it says empty..

Ran a virus scan. It was clean. I tried restoring bookmarks from a previous day. Firefox was unable to do it.

What is going on? If the bookmarks are there, why can't I see them?

I've used this browser for years without a problem. Now all the sudden it's one problem after another. I'm ready to jump ship to a different browser.

I'm on version 144.0.2 (64-bit) using Windows 11 Pro.

Log onto Firefox. Go to Yahoo mail, log off this and yahoo homepage shows daily pop up which is some sort of counter ("Don't ghost us" day 1,2,3, on on Google says this is a browser issue, Redirect to Chrome same thing. Have adblock on. All settings on all 3 browers do not stop it

Spell checking does not work with Outlook Web Mail in Firefox. This issue has been raised by many others but I find that the answers and solutions don't match my user interface and aren't really solutions. This seems to be a widespread problem and I really feel that Mozilla should solve it. Otherwise users like me will likely need to change browsers. - I am using the latest version of Windows 11 and Outlook Web Mail. - My Firefox is up to date (144.0.2) - Spell checking works if I switch to plain text. When I log into a website, say amazon.com, and it prompts me to add a passkey, my only option is local windows machine.

If I use Chrome, I can choose between Google PW manager and hardware key.

Once I save the passkey in Chrome, it works just fine in Firefox.

Is this expected behavior? I used FF for personal browsing and don't really want to move to Chrome.

When trying to upload a file to sharepoint or service-now, I get the following error: You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission.

The operation works in other browsers.

I have disabled all extensions and add-on's, tried in safe mode, private browsing mode, reviewed Windows security, application and system log files.

I'm not finding anything in the Web Developer Tools either.

Has anyone run into this before?

Hi, new Firefox Win 11 user, new laptop, how do I enable main touchscreen gestures, swipe, pinch etc. All other apps, browsers work, so HW / drivers work. Can't find how on user forums, or in settings.
