Unable to install Firefox on WIN11. Wants to create a profile but get "An unexpected error has prevented your changes from being saved. (This is a new Desktop unit I received today and have not had any problems with WIN10.

Lately, whenever I click on a file (be it PDF, XLS or whatever), it doesn't open. Instead, I see the relevant app (Acrobat, Excel, or whatever) flashing on the taskbar and I have to click on it to view the downloaded files. Not a big deal, but it used to be different, with the relevant app opening a window with the downloaded files (which makes sense: if I click on it to open - and not download - I want to see it now). Does this happen to you as well? I could not find any option to control this behaviour, and I don't think it is intentional.

How do I paste in the game forge of empires chat windows with my mouse and without clipboard, it will only allow me to use clipboard control V for keyboard not my mouse, using my mouse to select all, copy, it's fine, cannot use paste with mouse,

Please let me know what is wrong here I have recorded the issue as you can see that the buttons of pop up for screen record are missing text also location pop up is missing text same with download file names.

I don't know what is the issue and why the texts are not showing but it's been a big hassle.

Please help me solve it. I barely managed to record thing since even it doesn't show which screen I want to record.

Whenever I navigate in a video or go fullscreen on YouTube there's a painfully loud crackle, I use the site frequently so I'd appreciate a fix because it's very painful for my ears.

Firefox hangs when I try to maximise the window. If the firefox window is covering half of my screen and I try to maximise by clicking on the window button at the top right, it hangs. I get a message "firefox is not responding, wait or exit." Then I have to select close, and start it again to work. This happens occasionally, once in every 2-3 days.

I always receive popup messages when trying to play a youtube video. "Ablockers not allowed". But I haven´t installed any adblocker. I am not sure, but I think this erreor occurs since the last Firefox update (?). Had never before this error. See file attached (in German).

I am using Windows 10.

I have this one page which has "meta refresh" set to 2 minutes, and the page displays my own data from some sensors so it has to be that way.

Anyway, the tab is making the clicking sound whenever it reloads the page. Muting the tab doesn't help.

Is there a way to disable the "click" when the tab reloads in the background?

At first Firefox opened and then immediately closed. Then it simply wouldn't open. I uninstalled it. Changed my profile (as per a suggestion in Support I read about). Reinstalled it. It opens now in "safe/troubleshoot" mode for a few moments. I checked the crash report and there are no current crash reports which might help me with the problem. I can't log back in as it keeps closing after I enter username and try to enter password - i don't think its a password issue - it closes all the time even at other places. I'm at my wits end and don't want to abandon Firefox. Any thoughts appreciated. Many thanks, A

After reinstalling Windows 11 Pro on a newly installed SSD my browser resets location and size to default. Nothing listed here in support or found elsewhere through a web search has made a difference. Also, if I leave Firefox open for an extended period of time so that the browser stays where I put it, and keeps the same size, it will crash. As a test, I had Windows resize the browser to the full monitor, closed it, and when I reopened Firefox it filled the monitor. A second time closed and reopened a few minutes later resets back to default location and size. Everything else (bookmarks, extensions, etc.) remains the same. Nothing has been added or removed since the fresh install.

This is the latest version, 23H2, of Windows 11 Pro, which, btw, was the version I was running before the fresh install of Windows 11 Pro.

How can this be corrected?

I'm using Firefox 120.0 on an iMac running OS 13.6.1. When browsing in an open window, merely moving my iMouse (no clicking) causes the display to zoom in and enlarge the display a huge amount that is much larger than normal zooming can produce. Please provide a solution.

On the first load of the day FF partially loads a page then freezes that page. Links are dead and can't type into any text field. This will happen with multiple tabs then suddenly everything starts to work with no further issues. Note: the browser does not freeze.

I have used Firfox for many years as my main browser...I just upgraded to Sonoma on two Macs and Firefox is nu-useable on both... I waited for the new update and somethings were working but still can not depend on the browser to work... Can you help...?

When I have to change a setting on my LAN printer, an HP, I should be able to access its built-in settings module. Firefox will not let me access the printer because it doesn't have a trusted certificate.

So I get a blank page with the message: "we could not verify the certificate: reason = untrusted" and doesn't give me any options. In versions past, I recall an option to connect anyway if I trusted the site.

If there is a setting that lets me enable the option to continue anyway, where is it? Alternately, is there an exception list, perhaps by IP address, that will allow the browser to connect? Perhaps another solution?

I can't be the only one who is encountering this issue.

Yo, Linux sysadmin here and been using Firefox forever.  Surprisingly I have this ancient 12 year old System76 laptop that I use for nearly everything (got a newer Lenovo that I been meaning to switch to but no time).

Using Debian 12/13 with Gnome 43.6/X11.  Can't quite figure out this issue though.  Besides being a sysadmin, can have other side jobs/projects going on as well, so can have 5-10 windows open in different workspaces, sometimes with hundreds of tabs all together (big fan of the Auto Tab Discard add-on and about:memory Minimize Memory Usage to keep performance up and resource usage low).

Been noticing this issue for the last few versions where suddenly, after random amount of Firefox uptime (can be after days of perfect performance) my keyboard input aka typing gets extremely laggy, like 30 seconds behind for all keystrokes, except: Ctrl-F instantly brings up the Find in Page bar, and Ctrl-C instantly copies to clipboard.  Ctrl-V, however, 30 seconds lag, Ctrl-A also....  Mouse is fine though and can right-click and paste instantly or use other menu options.  Happens anywhere in Firefox too: in address bar, in the find text box, in the preferences, in my saved passwords, haven't found a place with no lag.

Have searched around for some hours now and only found suggestions to disable accessibility service, but accessibility service has already been disabled for a while now.  Everything else in my Gnome desktop session is running fine.  Restarting Firefox temporarily solves the issue but is highly annoying and interruptive with as much as I have going on sometimes.  Due to timing randomness, starting Firefox without certain add-ons is impossible as I can't spend days at a time without any of them.  Just have to open a text editor and type what I need to in there, then paste with mouse, until I can find a good stopping place to restart Firefox.

Have included most of the info from about:support in the Troubleshooting Information.  Spent quite a bit of time looking at all my modified preferences, nothing popped out but if there's something you think I could include to help, let me know. Thanks

I typically download 30 to 40 video files daily of around 5 MB each. The most I can download seems to be 8 files, then I have to select the next 8 to download. Is there a way I can select all 30 files and have them download one at a time in order without having to keep selecting the next file?
