Recently I've had this issue (on reddit) where after I expand a video in the feed, and start scrolling, all the visuals freeze.

I know it's only the visuals, because I can still interact with the website (usually unexpand the video, or pause it) with the image still frozen and audio still playing.

I can fix it by tabbing firefox down, and then up again. While researching I found the profiler, and finally managed to capture the moment it happened.

I'm no stranger to technical stuff but it's a loooot of data to process, I did a "clean" profile recording as well where I did the same action and where it didn't freeze, and I can't really make heads or tails out of what the issue is.

The recording managed to capture the phenomenon and I only clicked twice during that period, to expand two reddit expando videos, the second one is what caused the issue when scrolling. The only thing I see is a spike in memory usage

Not sure if I can (or should) upload the profile recording here or what, but it's been bugging me a lot.

It's pretty tricky to replicate because it seems to be random when and what triggers it, even expanding the same videos doesn't replicate it. Sometimes I go days without it happening, sometimes it happens 6 times in a single session.

I have an Nvidia RTX 5070ti GPU, hardware acceleration is on, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor.

I think I might have enabled some rendering settings in about:config, maybe it's related to that but I don't remember exactly what.

Maybe it's due to some windows "game optimisation" or the GPU and CPU-GPU fighting?

I have no problems watching videos while playing games or anything though.

I recently downloaded the ebay app onto my Android phone. Since doing so, when I go to my ebay account on my PC, I cannot put items in My Cart nor can I BUY NOW. The selector arrow does not change to a Hand icon. Everything works as it should on my phone. Contacted ebay support which attempted to correct by having me clear browsing history with no success. They informed me that it was a problem with my browser (Firefox). Any info or suggestions would be well appreciated.

When I go to the all trails site, I get a blank page, with only the words, "Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker" I checked my settings, and my ad blocker in Firefox is disabled. I cannot figure out, in my settings, how to verify that my javascript is enabled.

Why can't Firefox open .mht email extensions within its default browser? It has never done so to my knowledge. They always point to Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.

Often an email may not display images correctly and the ability to open them in a web browser is offered, "If there are problems with how this message is displayed, click here to view it in a web browser." This is certainly a development addition when people view their Gmail from Firefox or use Outlook. Not everybody uses APPS. People who don't want Microsoft Edge watching every move they make have made effective permanent changes in removing the deep embedded PUP by Microsoft.

i noticed every websites that i visited or some links just suggested are appeared in my firefox homepage i selected only shortcuts in setting which i expect to see only shortcuts that i added manually but its just more shortcuts pop up each time i open the new window on my home page this is really annoying and , its not necessary at all , i dismissed them manually but they just pop up again please can you report this issue to be fixed on next release ?

I turned on Firefox this morning and its all changed I have no bookmarks no menu and no search bar I hate this new system Why cant i go back to the previous version ???

Watching a CNN video on YouTube Firefox suddenly freezes and does not accept any further actions. Even shutting down it will block the process and I need to use the "Shut down anyway" function. Similarly, Thunderbird will lock up in the middle of writing a response, but here it is just the window and I lose what I typed, but I can go back and push "reply" again and retype the answer. Whether these are down to similar issues I don't know. Obviously, this sounds like a graphics driver, so I made sure all updates are installed and there is no further update available for both, Firefox and Thunderbird as well as the system drivers. I can access my credit union using firefox on my phone, or even this computer when using MSN. I can NOT reach my credit union on this computer using firefox. I get a 403 forbidden message.

I have been with Firefox since Netscape Navigator so I understand how it works. I have a Bulletin Board Forum (work on it daily). Posting to the forum using long form bbcode is very time consuming and tedious.

I've been using bbCode for Web Extensions (bbCodeWebEx) (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bbcodewebex/) for years and up until the recent Firefox update it has worked perfectly.

Matthew G. Saroff (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/96273/) was the developer of the extension.

I have tried using the extension on multiple sites. The extension is there and functional but nothing registers in the edit windows. not even here.... I've looked for replacement extensions but none have the specific abilities I need for posting on my forum. Specifically- The ability to select an img coded image address and make it link to a specific webpage url. Other common bbcode can be tagged using the edit window's fully enabled wysiwyg editor. I'm not sure if other extensions are having issues with this release but the rest of my extensions function normally. Something changed which blocks the paste functionality of the coded clipboard text into the edit window. I might be a developer issue but my question to him is, as so far, unanswered.

I tried to install an older version of Firefox, Downloaded the install, created a new profile, uninstalled this version and it worked until I restarted Firefox (with updates set to manual). It automatically updated and I lost it again. I tried using ~about:profiles~ to revert but it reverted as that profile this version. Years ago, I used Waterfox so I could use the Legacy extensions. I stopped using it when I got accustomed to the new extensions. For the past few years, Firefox is the only browser I use. I don't want to have to cut my teeth on a new browser but as the administrator for my forum, I use bbcode everyday.

I am wondering if any other Firefox users are having issues with the recent update? Thank you for reading my concerns.

I'm trying to stream a show in the firefox browser and I am getting error saying the HLS is not up to date. I've checked my firefox is at the latest update, is this something you need to update on your end?

If synchronisation works bidirectional - does that mean that all bookmarks vanish on all added computers when they are erased from one of them? Can and should one define one of the computers as the one from which the installations should be preserved?

When I start MF, all tabs I have used before open. Good! But one of these tabs are not in use. That it why I want to close it for ever.

The option to delete it for ever is not available.

Not sure but I read that windows 10 has reached the end of support in oct. 2025. I have no idea what book marks I had because My friend put them in for me. I do not know why firefox or windows had the rights to chage my computer and I do not have the funds to buy a new windows 11 computer. So bottom line what can I do to fix this issue

the clear option on search bar is not working i troubleshoot , restart and even reinstall the Firefox but it is not working . All other options like microphone camera all are working except clear option

Many websites that I use regularly, such as Zillow, no longer work correctly in Firefox ESR (115.33.0). The top menu in Zillow disappeared this week. Others work, but all the text is greyed-out. All except the text thing seem related to Javascript features. For instance, check boxes on a Wordpress site that I manage quit working last month. Some, like www.RCgroups.com just sit and spin, and never fully open up.

But they all work fine on an old copy of Chrome (109.0.5414.120), that is no longer supported on Windows 7 and hasn't been updated in probably 3 years.

My only plugin is NoScript, but the problem is the same whether it's turned off or not. And I also use NoScript on Chrome.

I use Win7 for the same reason I use Firefox -- it is safer, far more stable, faster, and it doesn't force updates on me that invariably break things. I appreciate that Mozilla has extended support for the last stable version of Windows. But somebody should look into this growing compatibility issue.
