When I tried to log in to my account earlier today, I found that it was gone. I used my recovery key to create a new password and now lost all data, passwords etc. What do I do now? Why did this happen? I am not very computer literate but have tried all of the suggestions in your help forum and nothing works. Nothing has changed on my computer since my last login yesterday. Firefox is my home page and browser.

I am helping a friend who has a problem when opening any browser software on an old laptop so I cannot operate the syncing option. The old laptop uses Windows 10.

I want to transfer (to new laptop running Windows 11) the history, bookmarks and passswords by copying from users/hername/AppData/ but do not know which files need to be copied

This morning Firefox stopped loading new tabs, which usually means it is due for an update and restart. On my work computer, updates are managed by my organization, so I cannot prompt it to check for updates directly, but rather can just restart the application and it updates once closed. Today when I closed the window then clicked the shortcut to reopen, it notified me the exe file had been removed and prompted me to open the Windows store and reinstall, which I did. I have no indication as to why it uninstalled. All of my bookmarks and other history appear to have been wiped.

I have been trying on the support site to see if this data is recoverable, but nothing has panned out so far.

I have used Firefox as my primary browser for almost twenty years and frequently encourage friends and family to use it if they don't already. I have never experienced anything like this before. I am hopeful somebody will be able to assist me where reading through support center options hasn't yet, but if this is not resolvable, I'm done- the crash helpfully wiped everything clean, after all.

When I restarted my computer, I was signed out of Firefox. I didn't remember my password and didn't realize creating a new one would deny me access to my bookmarks.

Can I recover my bookmarks? The restore function only lists today as an option after my new password was set (empty). I have no recovery key.

The power went out in my area last night and When I turned my computer on this morning and opened Firefox, all my bookmarks are gone! It says the bookmark file is empty? I had many bookmarks that I use daily. How do I retrieve all my bookmarks I had in my Firefox account? Can someone help? Thank you.

Windows 11 Firefox crashed on opening continuously so unable to safe open etc. Did update intel graphics to no avail. Uninstalled in add programs in settings. Did not choose to delete data. Reinstalled and now can't find my profile.

Hello, I just purchased a new desktop computer. I have passwords and bookmarks that I would like to move over to the new computer. Can this be done or do I have to manually move each item. It would be so much easier to recapture all. Thanks for you help.

I restarted Firefox today to find you have removed all my 100+ tabs, which I had arranged in folders, and replaced the vertical settings I had with Tree Style Tabs, which in the past has always run slow. I was greeted with childish graphics inviting me to set up a profile and offering me an introduction to Firefox. I have been using Firefox for years, mostly happily, until you screw up the view I had spent hours setting up. You are turning into a cheap Microsoft but with even less consideration for your users. I've tuned in to Firefox this morning to find that I'm kind of shut out, no access to my usual apps, and required to enact some difficult backing up etc. When I explore, it seems to relate to Windows 10 losing its backup from Microsoft. But I'm running Windows 11, not 10. What's going on? Is this legitimate? If so, why is it complicated and why wasn't it forewarned (by Firefox)?

I posted a question in here two days ago because my firefox wouldnt open anymore i got a follow up answer telling me to give the crash id but never got a follow up after i sent it . i tried shuffling between profiles and in the end got it working but today my pc had a crash while firefox was open and it had to restart when i tried to open firefox its as if i just installed it and i dont have any backups to be honest i tried checking the appdata folder and there is a profile folder that seems big enough that it might be mine but it doesnt seem like firefox is reading it for some reason i tried switching the data in the profile folder that firefox is considering but it didnt work .

My previous post seems to have disappeared, so will try again. I am 85 years old and have been using Thunderbird fo over 15 years with out any problems. Afew days ago I tried to send an e-mail and didn't have any "Send" button. In trying fix, I some how deleted my contacts sidebar. I sill have my addresses book. I have tried everything to retrieve them but no luck. I tried removing Thunderbird and reinstall, but it comes back the same. I would appreciate an guidance in trying to resolve my problem. Does anyone know how to restore a previous profile? I had a situation like this: I had Firefox 140. I decided to upgrade to 147. Then I upgraded to 145 and all my data disappeared. The system is Linux Ubuntu.
