Hi: I'm trying to find some way of removing the vertical lines in replies. A previous asking of this same question lead me to attempt to install the 'replywithheader' add-on but it hangs with the "Add ReplyWithHeader? This extension will have permission to: .... Cancel Add" popup box ... It doesn't matter if I click either Cancel or Add, the box just hangs there. Or is there some other way of removing the vertical lines? One might have thought this would be an easily accessible option in the setup.

Thing is that I'm working on a rather long report with other people and we email changes back and forth but each time another vertical line is added. How to nuke ALL the vertical lines? How to stop them from being added in the first place?

As you can see from the screenshot I don't have the new tab button (+), I've seen other users had the same problem in the past and the solution was restoring it from the customization page, but I can't find it there neither.

When opening the following bookmark https://www.youtube.com/@msolrecords I end up with https://www.youtube.com/msolrecords and page not found. If I type the @ it works. I just installed Firefox 107.0 on a new installation of Linux. I'm trying to get it set up to work the way I'm accustomed to, and can't figure this out. Instead of having search results show up in the current tab, I want them to open in a new tab, as they always have for me. As this works Just Fine on my desktop, I see no reason that it wouldn't work on my new laptop. If anybody here knows, please let me know.

Since Firefox 109 and 110 also you can not login to hidive.com. It just loads a blank page(empty source) but not logged in. Firefox Developer Edition does work. 110 and 111. Tested on both linux and windows without extensions and tested with tracking prevention turned off. I reported this after 109, but I could not find the report.

Firefox 110.0 64 bit on Linux Fedora 37. Happens with my default setup and also when running with extensions disabled. Default font. English Language.

If I got to this website https://www.endesaclientes.pt/uPortal2/MyEndesa/index.html#/login, right now, it is in maintenance mode. It's tab label shows up as "Em manutenção..." when it should display "Em manutenção". In case this text field munges my text, see image of the tab, and the letters between "uten" and the final "o" are supposed to be a c with a cedilla and an a with a tilde.

Do I need to change my configuration to add the proper font in tabs?

What i have try, "rm -rf .mozilla .cache/mozilla" i have download latest version and execute "firefox-bin" i have try to chmod 777 all this folders and under folders...

i'm working on it from three hours and have read many solution on firefox support or others website, no one works...

I'm testing different Debian 12 on multiple VMs, it came to my surprise to see that my VPN hash I used on a website the day before was saved by Firefox on the new VM.

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?

1. Numbered list item Logins & Passwords ? note: The hash was not a login but a form. If Firefox saves all the form, you should explicitly rename Logins by any forms/inputs.
2. Numbered list item History? note: I hope this is only URLs.

If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?

Good evening, I've some problem with firefox sometime it don't start (if I restart Ububtu 22 kernel 6.0.0 in use firefox start) and some times when I try to save an image it crash an close. Here below you can find the crash code error. Thanks a lot for the support

I'm using last release Firefox in a fresh install of Debian 12 with KDE. Trying to personalize colors and get a coherent style, I've installed Firefox Color and it worked fine, except for a few GUI elements.

Is there a similar setting for the menus? I mean in Firefox's menu bar or the ones popping over the page. The dropdown of the burguer menu and the bookmarks toolbar do get styled (I will include images showing the difference).

I've installed Nightly the same way I have for years on my latest Fedora 33 install—i.e., download tarball, extract into /opt, set appropriate chmod and chown, make .desktop file, etc.—but certain videos certain videos on certain sites refuse to play. A Fedora discussion discussion led me to think it's how Fedora 33 may sandbox apps; I haven't yet had any hits on solutions in the Fedora groups, so I thought I'd ask here, since I can't be the only one with this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was in the middle of asking this question when I fixed (worked around) the problem so I'm posting more as a informative post as there is a lot of old misdirection out there now.

I am(was) unable to drag any URLs from the URI drop down field in the main interface to my bookmarks toolbar. Nor was any drag and drop functionality working in the "Customise Firefox" screen (right click space on url bar -> Customise Toolbar).

I have now found that resetting my zoom setting in preferences to 100% restores this functionality. The problem arose when I was using 120% zoom, NOT text only.

I have a disability and totally forgot about this question BUT it is still an issue I would like to find a resolution too, so I am going to try to restate it -- but know I stopped working 2 years ago ... so maybe a resolution isnt horribly required :P

I do a lot of OS switching - I test various Linux distros on my (was 5) but now 3 laptops and one really old 32 bit system for my mother-in-law and I am wondering if I can use FireFox Accounts over and over without making a new service device every time I need something from FF Accts :P (I actually stopped using Sync mainly because of this 'Sync' issue -- how do I know what I have is actually being sync'ed?) I have learned to live with uncertainty not because Firefox is bad or anything but because "I want to be in control of my Data, not someone else...I had thought FF Sync would help me do that but I fear it hasnt and maybe because of my disability it has just gotten worse ..." ... not to even mention FF dropped FF Lockwise - which I loved!  :P

Anyways, this has bugged my off and on for a long time but I have mostly ignored the issue ... until a couple of years ago I discovered I had like 20+ some odd devices on my account -- going back 3+ years or more. Now, I signed out of many of them and I am down to about 15 -- mostly because I am a little confused about how FF Accts determines what to sync and when I start Sync are all of them brought back? Even from 6+ months ago? The one's that were years old I signed out of and deleted but still ... and so, since I use FF for testing and I thought that there shouldn't be that much in each 'sync' test device ... it is sort of confusing...

So, is there a way to use FF Accts 'sync' to get my data to a new device without making a new 'synced' device?

PS - in the FF past releases I got what I wanted by just copying the .mozilla directory to the new system but that broke a few releases ago :P too bad stuff has to change :(

Also, please understand that I am on Android, iOS, MacOS, and Linux daily so trying to 'gather' what I am submitting this question on will not lend itself to trying to solve my insanity >< Sorry!

PPS - I have not tried the first solution offered in the old question yet... I am leaning toward giving up on Sync and just using HTML Bookmark files ... it is messier but I know it is my data - unchanged and unyielding :P Thanks  :)

I have three Firefox-related browsers installed on a Linux Mint MATE system: Firefox, Nightly, and Pale Moon. I realize that Nightly is not intended for production use. That said, the top border is twice as tall as the one on Firefox and Pale Moon. This is a new system and I don't remember the border ever looking like this. The three images should illustrate the problem. Is there an about:config setting I should set?

I am using the Experimental API in my private Firefox extension.

So far, I've been using Firefox 102 ESR, but I'm planning to switch to Firefox ESR 115. There's already a Firefox 115 Beta available, so I've started testing it with my private extension.

So far, I've been using internal Firefox functions like `loadOneTab` and `loadURI` and it worked very well.

I used the `loadOneTab` function like this:

But the `loadOneTab` function no longer exists at all in Firefox's internal API. What should I replace it with?

I found the function `_createTab`:

But the `_createTab` function returns an error:

...I guess this is by security to make this function called only by user action? And I call this function inside `async function`.

Is it somehow possible to open a new tab from the Experimental API in Firefox 115 beta? I need this very badly. Really very much.

I used the `loadURI` function like this:

The `loadURI` function appears to still be available in Firefox's internal API, but returns an error like this:

How to overcome this error?
