My Firefox install apparently did a background update that did not complete, I get an error 'XULRunner / Error: Platform version '129.0' is not compatible...'
I did not (do not) have a profile I had logged into for that installation, but did have many passwords saved that I'd like to still be able to use if at all possible.
I have installed another instance of Firefox that is working (on platform 129.0), and am using Windows 11. I also turned off automatic updates in hopes of preventing this in the future.
The previous profile still exists in AppData/Roaming, but I don't know how/if I can connect it to the new installation I now have.
Is it possible to either fix the incomplete update or connect my old profile to this new instance so I don't have to reset all my passwords?

After installing update 129.0.1, in the profile folder, along the path: AppData/roaming/mozilla/firefox/profiles, a folder "extensions store menus" appeared, it contains the file data.life.bin, which changes its modification date as if it was synchronized when the browser closes. FF 129.0.2 x64. The update restarted FF. Everything else seems to work OK. But when I go to Hotmail.com, at first it displays my Hotmail inbox - which is odd; all other webpages requiring a login were logged out when I installed the update, requiring me to log in again - but then it switches to an error:

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.
The same Hotmail account is still logged in and functioning on Chrome. This is why I think it's a FF-specific problem.
