Just downloaded FF 85 and imported my bookmarks from Chrome. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.7. I can barely read the bookmark and tab labels! Please tell me (like I'm 5yo) how to control/increase the font size for tabs and bookmarks. Seems like an accessiblity feature I just can't seem to find. Thanks!

I noticed under "Add ons" section of "Troubleshooting information" that several extensions (namely "Google - google@search.mozilla.org") are enabled by default. I have removed Google from my search options and I cannot find a way to disable or remove it in under "Add-ons" section of main menu as it doesn't show up there. Is there a way to remove it (and Amazon and Bing while we're at it)?

In Google Chrome, I can add custom widgets/icons to the home page for things like Target, Walmart, my credit union, my mother's bank, etc. so all I have to do is click on the icon, and I'm taken to Target, my credit union, etc. Is there a way to do the same thing on my Firefox home page?

I've faced an issue with search engines configuration for Firefox on macOS. I'm doing the following:

3. Close Firefox
4. (not sure what other conditions needed)
5. Open Firefox
6. When typing search request in the address bar I see that Amazon and Ebay options are back and a suggestion line "This time, search with ..." as added by firefox: https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2020-11-17-04-32-02-4a25db.png or https://imgur.com/vjq0NCf
7. In the preference I see that those two searches (Ebay and Amazon) were automatically re-added to One-Click Search Engines: https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2020-11-17-04-32-23-91dd1d.png or https://imgur.com/ibnlzLS

That issue is happening to me across different versions of firefox and isn't new. I've been seeing it for a few month hoping that to resolve in a newer versions. But as of right now I'm on 82.0.3 (64-bit) and the issue is still there.

It's a bit annoying as I have to my preferences literally every time I need to restart Firefox (which is especially annoying to do right after restarting FF to switch to a newer version).

Any suggestions and help is welcome!

Is it possible to remove favicons from the Bookmark Tool bar and bookmark pulldown menus? It'd be a much cleaner look. I have latest version of Firefox. It wont display pictures in articles I read online unless I hold down shift and click the refresh button then do a control/F5. The articles all display properly in MS Edge if I use it. I am trying to understand what settings I need to change in Firefox to permanently fix this so I don't have to do this repeatedly.

In order to use my preferred browser, MetaGer, I have to change the default search engine every time I open Firefox. After setting the default search engine, Firefox reverts to Google after relaunch. How do I fix this? I'm using Firefox 85 with OS 10.13.6 High Sierra. Thanks

With recents versions of Firefox (I cant' tell which), when you type an adress and resolve of this adress failed, firefox is running a search with this adress as parameter. I want to disable this feature, as this can be a security problem when typing internal servers private urls. You have to put "http(s)://" to disable the feature I've separated main adress and search input, disabled autocompletion, but the main adress is still making searchs.

Hi, other than the default search engines, I tried adding some more to Firefox in the options. The method I did this was, say I need to add Yandex search engine, I went to yandex.com https://yandex.com and clicked the three dots and the address bar and selected "add search engine" but when i go to options>search, the engines i added are in the drop down list (1), but not in the grid table (2)where you can add a keyword or remove the engine.

Is there a way to fix this?

I've got the following problem: When you try to log in to a website you have already visited, Firefox automatically shows you account names you have already used. I've accidentally typed my password into the box and now its displayed there. How can I fix this?

I have just installed the Simple Tab Groups add-on and moved it to tab bar (using the Customize menu), but unfortunately its icon remains black since it is an add-on, so it doesn't have a gray/white variant like the the native Firefox buttons. Since I use the default theme in Firefox my tab bar is black all the time (and I need/want to keep it that way) so what I'd like to do is just recolor the Simple Tab Groups add-on icon myself. I just have no idea where the icon data is stored and how I could do so.

This border appeared recently (weeks?) around three sides of the Windows Firefox Desktop version. It is annoying. Does not respond to any recommended fixes I have found on the same issue. Tried safe mode. Tried moving the task bar. Tried changing enlargement percentage. Tried rebooting after all of the above. Nothing working. Can't find a switch anywhere.

Hallo. I have a nice large Samsung Monitor, but the toolbar and Bookmarks toolbar are only thin ( 1 cm) high bands along the top, that I have trouble seeing ( even through glasses) can one make them bigger? couldnt find help when typing in "Toolbar size " on help search. Thanks Michael

Any tips on how can I completely disable favicons? The method works very well on Windows but on Linux, doesn't. I have also to mention that I am on Manjaro, XFCE (if it helps) Thanks, stay safe!

Just wondering why all of my add-ons disappear every time I set the browser to never remember history. Is there I way I can keep this setting on and keep my add-ons?

So I've just installed Firefox on a new device and the top part of the browser is not like I have it on my other browser. I'm used to having the tab bar aligned with a minimize, full screen and close option. However, it seems these options are on a windows bar of themselves above the tabs. I've shared a picture of the two elements on the same bar i got from my previous PC and the misaligned one on this PC. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Before I did a refresh because of slow loading, I had a search bar on the home screen. How Do I get it back My home screen is blank , which I want but I also want a search bar. I do have the search bar in the tool bar, I'm used to having it on the home screen,too I have a desktop PC with windows 10 and all the updates are current I'm using Google as the web search The only plug-in I have is uBlock

Ever since I downloaded Firefox, I have been having an issue where when i click on a link from a search engine, it automatically opens the link in a new tab. I've looked around in the settings menu, but I couldn't find any way to alter it. The closest option would be to open link in new window, but I just want to open the link in the tab that I am currently in. I have tried going into about:config although I couldn't find any setting that successfully fixed the issue. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

When opening a new tab and clicking inside the address section, there are sites that come up such as YouTube.com, Twitter.com, Facebook.com, Reddit.com.

I want to rid my browser of all of these options.
