i want to delete old bookmarks i no longer require. since upgrading firefox i no longer have an "Organize Bookmarks" option in the bookmarks menu. Do i have to download an add on or what???????

I would like to be able to save a bookmark in two locations without moving it from one folder to another if I already have that bookmark saved in some bookmark folder. I write many papers, and love to access different materials. Sometimes I end up using the same site for different papers, and so I would like to be able to do that quickly, without having to go into the bookmarks section, and manually doing it with copy/paste. Firefox asks for a general password using a drop-down window when opening a page with a log-on section, presumably for an autofill. (It's annoying and I wish I could get rid of it, but that's another story.) My home page has a log-on section, so the prompt appears. But, when I try to choose a bookmarked page, and if the prompt appears while I'm doing it, the bookmark menu covers the prompt. Nothing I do dispels the bookmark menu, whether clicking away from the menu, choosing the menu item, or even just typing the password. I have to restart, sometimes requiring 'force quit' from the Activity Monitor. I automatically clear my history when I quit. Seems obscure enought that it might be a bug...

I keep getting a pop up notice to update to 9,0,1. I now run 4.0.1 on my Mac. Whenever I click on it nothing happens. I also tried to check the forums and the choices appear for a second and then disappears?

When trying to forward and e-mail or retrieve it from "drafts" more often than not only the heading will appear and the space where the body of the e-mail belongs is empty. If I try repeatedly - going out and then back in to the e-mail - I can eventually get it and successfully send it on. If I send it while the field is blank the person receiving it will just get a blank e-mail except for the address and subject line.

I've trawled through so many forums to find an answer to my problem - perhaps it's quite unique.

About a year ago my firefox address bar's autocomplete stopped working at all. I have the latest version and I've tried all the tricks around dumping the cache etc. Anyway, I got a new Mac yesterday and I opened up Firefox and everything worked as it should - great.

However, I moved all my files/settings/applications etc across from my ole mac via migration assistant and now firefox does not work properly on that user account. So, I have two user accounts on the same mac, both running the same software applications. The user account with all the old files etc is the one I want to continue to use but Firefox won't work properly on it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, updated the version, cleared the cache...everything I can think of.

I'm sick of Chrome crashing on me.

Can anyone help???

Until Shockwave flash works on FF4 and doesn't cause pages to hang for long periods of time even those that have no video there is no real point in using it. Even if you disable it, so many pages depend on it somehow again whats the point.

The PDF plugin which worked great prior to v 4 of FF needs to be updated. I am sure people are aware of this but doesn't seem to be any comments on when this can be resolved.

downloaded ff 4, keep getting the message I must download ff 4, furthermore ff 4 does not work completely - is not automatically connected with e-mail programme (entourage) and before I can start I must first click on the 'install' icon. Weird. Is de-installing and then re-installing ff 4 an option? How can I do that (searched but couldn't find (or reckognize) the required info. tnx!
