I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I have FF 4.0. I would like to keep up with it as it improves. In the meantime, 3.6 was faster switching tabs and loading most sites. How do I load FF 3.6 and put it on a different profile.

i want to delete old bookmarks i no longer require. since upgrading firefox i no longer have an "Organize Bookmarks" option in the bookmarks menu. Do i have to download an add on or what???????

and found FF did not copie All of my bookmarks...so i deleted them...thinking I could take the same steps again (copie the bookmarks again). This is not possible!! If I click the file button, the "import"line/text (so to speak) is light gray, and I can't click it....so I'm not able to copy them anymore to FF for a 2cnd time. Is there anyone who has an idea how to fix this?! Thanx, Debora

I installed FF 4.0.1 and I'm loving it! The only issue, and it's a BIG issue, is that I have to press Alt every time to make the menu at the top come up so I can view my bookmarks list! This is VERY annoying, so I'd like to know if there's any way to add a bookmarks button or something that will do the same as hitting Alt and then clicking 'Bookmarks'.

I would like the drop down arrow in the location bar to show my bookmarks instead of showing what I have recently typed. I only use the drop down menu to go to my most visited sites, so this would be prefect. Is there an extension that will do this, or something similar?

If I check the "save passwords" checkbox, when I shutdown and restart, the checkmark is gone and the saved passwords no longer function. I have to recheck the box after every startup. The passwords are not lost -- they simply don't work.

I suspect I will be able to use the sidebar to organize my bookmarks, just like organize bookmarks used to work, now that I have found this out. But, it took me many tries over a month, to get the answer, and about 20 minutes just now. So, this is just a complaint. Why did you change the way such an important features works. Why does it make sense?

Trying to backup my bookmarks but the organize bookmarks is missing. Have seen where it was changed in ff4 but nothing on ff5, help please. OS W7-FEBE(doesn't work) FF5

Whenever a new page is opened, the history sidebar is too, showing all the sites I had visited. My Firefox version is up to date 6.0.2 and I'm using Windows 7.

So my XP computer's power supply died a few weeks ago so I got a new computer. Just replaced the powersupply in the old PC to get my old files. I tried to back up my Firefox profile from my old computer to the new Windows 7 computer, which I've had running Firefox for about a week. When I loaded my backed up profile and restarted Firefox, it seems to have reverted to the style of the old Firefox, or at least the current version that was running on my XP computer. How can I keep my old profile, with the new look of Firefox that I've grown to love over the past week??

I did not install any add ons and I looked at the other options for restoring bookmarks, but none of them worked. the drop down box that shows websites that I frequent is also empty. I've lost a lot of bookmarks and I'm a bit upset about it.

I would like to be able to save a bookmark in two locations without moving it from one folder to another if I already have that bookmark saved in some bookmark folder. I write many papers, and love to access different materials. Sometimes I end up using the same site for different papers, and so I would like to be able to do that quickly, without having to go into the bookmarks section, and manually doing it with copy/paste. Following instructions to import Favorites from Internet Explorer into Firefox, select History, all History, then import from another browser. Only Opera shows as an option. How do I get IE to display?

Working with LinuxMint 11 on Compaq laptop.

There was a section, near the top of all the bookmark folders, which was entitled, Most Visited Websites, I think. This folder contained about 8 of my most common sites. Since this morning, I no longer see it, which is really frustrating.
