I tried to use a ftp link setting firefox as the default ftp app, not realizing firefox no longer supports ftp. I am unable to reset the default app and can't find the setting to do so. I downloaded filezilla and wish to set it to be the default app for ftp. Can someone help me with this? Before anyone suggests it, resetting firefox to default settings is not an option.

I have been using Firefox for many, many years. As of late I find it is constantly slowing or freezing and when I check with taskmanager I find Firefox has opened and is running as many as 85 processes. I have tried the recommended methods of limiting it...but the performance options do not provide the ability to limit processes as set out in the instructions....and changing the browser.tabs.remote.autostart to false also did not work. If I can't fix this, I will have to stop using Firefox. I am using version 144.0

I am trying to set up a profile however when I click the account icon the profiles menu item does not show up like it says on the manage firefox profiles guide. I am updated to latest firefox version.

My tabs won't allow me to move/rearrange them. When I attempt to click and drag them around, they do not change order or escape the window. Window functions such as resizing, closing, and moving work as normal.

I have always been a Firefox or Mozilla supporter, now I'm confused as I do use Microsoft Edge and others to support my apps such as Word, Excel, and others. The password thing about using traditional methods and now seems like a lot of people are using Google or Apple to log in really has made my life miserable. Where do I go from here?

I keep getting 'notifications' from Mozilla Firefox that McAfee has discovered a virus, Trojan, and other things. They come on the lower right corner of my screen and the address d3mj6kghubcc73dtudhg.kaironero.co.in is along the bottom of the notification. The notifications pop up every time I turn on my computer and go into Firefox and they just keep coming after I dismiss them. They are in small rectangles and have Mozilla Firefox written across the top left and say that McAfee has discovered.... Are they legit or are they spam and how do I stop them? I don't have McAfee installed on my computer which is a desktop. Please help--this is driving me crazy!!!

Hello, I just purchased a new desktop computer. I have passwords and bookmarks that I would like to move over to the new computer. Can this be done or do I have to manually move each item. It would be so much easier to recapture all. Thanks for you help.

I've switch to a new computer and exported and imported my book marks, in json file. I can see them in the library, but I don't know how to get them to display on my sidebar. Help? thanks brian

Running Windows 11. Receiving notifications from Firefox that indicate system warnings and viruses found. I have run several scans using Norton and there are no viruses. This notification is enticing me to click to remove the errors, which seems to clearly be a phishing scam, but I have never seen this as a notification from my browser as opposed to an email. When I try an option to "disable notifications", Norton blocks it due to it being identified as a dangerous "blacklist URL". I can't find a mozilla setting to block this.

I am interested in going to Windows 11, but I don't know what procedure to use to do that; all the info is confusing To me, the info makes it look like I need to buy another Computer, even though I have a perfectly good operating DELL Inspiron 1 that is not that old, 4 years old with a new hard drive.

A little over a week ago, I noticed icons for the shortcuts on the start page started showing wrong icons for some of them. For example, gmail and reddit show youtube icons and this behavior continues even for the favorites. X(Twitter) also has a generic icon instead of the normal one. Is there a way to force refresh on these or some way to correctly apply site icons?

My version of Firefox wont save History, Bookmarks or Downloads. I've made sure the privacy settings are correct and have tried reinstalling Firefox several times. It also wont let me drag a link from the address bar to the bookmark bar anymore like it used to. Any help with this would be much appreciated... Thanks!
