When I select the bookmark, Firefox does nothing, apparently.

iPhone works just fine on sites that Firefox won't access, so it's not the modem or the ISP.

I find one infuriating problem with Firefox. When on a tab with sound, the 'silence' icon (the little loudspeaker) is right next to the 'kill' icon (the stylized 'X'). They are no more than a millimeter apart. For those of us with any shake this means it is far too easy to hit the wrong one. I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to silence a page for a bit and completely wiped it out instead and had to re-start the page and hunt through the video to find where I was up to. It is bad or me, it must be terrible for people with severe parkinsons disease or any other shake problems. Would it not be possible to create a customising option to separate these, or even just remove the kill X when the sound is on, as it is rare anybody would want to kill a page in mid-speech. Then if you've had enough, just silence it, then kill it.

Does Firefox have a 'suggestions box' I could stick this in? - thanks, John

I have a problem with Firefox 87 that I am completely stumped by. Since I have updated Windows to version 20H2, my audio in Firefox became all muddy, as if only bass tones come through. Speech is completely inaudible and impossible to understand. This is a problem unique to Firefox, as other applications such as Spotify or MS Edge sound fine.

Could this be a compatibility problem with my sound card? (Creative SoundBlaster ZxR) This feels unlikely as it worked before...

Hi all, Once and a while, suddenly, bookmarks can´t be saved any longer. So I restart Firefox and all is ok again. This happens perhaps twice a month. - Existing Bookmarks can be opened, but can´t be moved in the structure. - This issue exists since many Firefox versions. - The *.sqlite files are not write protected. - All Add Ons are switched off.

I have to close for each new start of Firefox all windows and so I am loosing the workflow :-(. Does anybody know about this issue? Many thanks Achim

since a few days Firefox does not load several pages. I can browse normaly but pages like "https://www.etsy.com/" stay white.

Also on my old phone (Android 7.0) i have to restart firefox since a week or so because the app wouldn't load any page anymore. The issue looks the same on my desktop version. I press enter, there is a small reaction for loading but then it stops and there is no site, just the background.

What can be the cause?

I use firefox many years now and there was never such problem.

When I open FF, the window only displays the top menus. If I click the Green dot it will then open full screen. Pressing the green dot once again only displays that 1 inch window. The problem does not occur in safe mode for Firefox. I turned off all of my extensions and turned off hardware Accelerator mode yet the problem still happens.

This just began yesterday and I don't believe I installed anything.

searching for bookmarks (with sidebar) is no problem. There are several cases where I look, if something or similar had been bookmarked already. With this I want to avoid doubling/tripling/'moreling' bookmarks. But if I find something already bookmarked, I do not know in my about 1000 bookmarks where the bookmark is located. I tried to show properties of the found bookmark but it does not tell where it is placed. So I would have to look manually about 100 folders to find where the bookmark is located.

The most easy solution I think, would be indicating the place of the bookmark when showing settings of bookmark. On hovering over the found bookmark in a third line of popup could be told the location of this bookmark and would be visually more pleasant I think.

Else I have to put the bookmark doubled in a more visible location and delete the bookmark found by search. This workaround works but is not intuitive and bothersome (and costs much more time).

As this solution would be easy to implement, I hope, this can be implemented 'soon'. I think, this would help many others, too. (At least I heard from several others in my environment, that they miss such a thing.)

Hey it shows dark page for some pages not all. just like this one in the pic added. it gets annoying when theres stuff to read. oh one more thing. issue isnt with the site, issue didnt persist with other browsers. Thanks in advance.

REALLY dislike shortcuts, using the keyboard which require multiple steps and keystrokes where as the "+" was one key stroke to do simple tasks like ADDING A NEW TAB

I really like firefox but have to shut it down to add a new password if I don't use one of yours which are too long and complicated. And I don't think you need to have my passwords. Typical firefox password:

4ut693zdfcp049stev5dd679*. To long and too complicated. And does not give me choice to make my own. It is like a rabid pitbull.

I downloaded the Firefox browser and ran the program. The homepage does not bring me to the New Tab page, but instead keeps bringing me to the page to download the browser. I've done it more than 6 times and still get the same result.

I can not access my Gmail anymore. This problem just happened "out of the blue,after I unplugged my computer when I hit the power cord,

by mistake. I restarted my computer,no help.

Recently, a kind volunteer helped me resolve a technical problem I was having with eBay. I have only one start up on my computer now, which is my VPN I have disabled all my Add-ons. I exited out of Firefox, restarted my computer and went directly to ebay and had no trouble signing in or using the site. Yay! I thought it was all fixed. I still wanted to use some very important (to me) add-ons like Ghosterly, and a couple others, which I have had for approximately a year with no problem on ebay. I enable 3 of my favorite addons. I went back to ebay. And, now I can't sign in. They say the password doesn't match. I know that it is correct because I have it written down. When I tried many times, they kept making be "bot verify" When I tried to reset my password, they said I had to chat with someone. I am unable to chat because they say I might have disabled java script. I don't know where to look to see it I have done that. Having a "Senior Moment" here............

....also starting to get frustrated........... grrrrrrr..... I wanted to try to turn on one addon at a time, to see which might be the troublemaker, but never got the chance.

Any thoughts??

I have a number of bookmarked pages. When I open a new window and then select the bookmarked page i want to open, FF switches tyo another ALREADY OPEN TAB and loads the page there removing the page that was opened. EX: I use both regular FF and Private windows on my screen and switch from one to the other according to the loaded pages I am using. When I open a new tab in private windows and try to get FF to open a bookmarked page, it will switch to my open tabs under regular FF instead of opening the bookmarked page in the new private windows page it will REPLACE an open page. This happens a lot with my YouTube pages which I leave open during the day to listen to binaural beat music in the background while I am working. What's up with that? Why doesn't the bookmarked page open in a new private windows tab?

I also noticed that when I leave pages open during the day in both private and regular FF now (since the most recent update)and go back to them, I often have to reload the whole page instead of just allowing me to go directly to something on that page.

I have been dodging the most recent updates because with each new update there seems to be more and more CONTROL from your side, and less freedom on our side of the screen. Is this purposeful? If so, WHY?!!!

IndexedDB takes over 15 minutes to load after opening firefox. Why does it take so long?

i don't know if the problem lies within firefox or not. i am able to sign into the site via chrome tho. when i try to sign into spectrum (as i have many times w/o issue) it does some blinking or flashing loading type thing and ends with this message: -- We're sorry, something didn't work quite right. Please try again. IDID-1060 --. this is going on for 3? weeks now. i have called tech support through spectrum with no help. they could get in on their end and we changed pw's but it didn't help me. also--and i have no idea if this matters at all, but it disturbs me... the padlock right beside the address box says -verified by amazon-. why is that? at times when i have hovered that at websites, it says verified by, and the name of my security service. i can't 100% say that i have checked it when signing into spectrum tho, but still i don't understand why it would say amazon! i much prefer using firefox! but i also feel like i shouldn't have to use chrome part time to get to certain sites or do certain things. PLEASE PLEASE help me figure this out.

P.S. i am already forced to use chrome to play games on facebook for years now. except bingo blitz, which is odd to me. i can play that through firefox. sighs.
