this exact question has been asked last year, none of the suggestions work: I am running Firefox 154.01 on Winux I have lost sound on Firefox. I have opened the same sites in Chromium and the sound is working fine. It's only in Firefox. I have tried several sites including , YouTube, and radio programs, no sound from Firefox. All of a sudden the sound disappeared. The speakers is turned on the volume is up, just not a sound from Firefox. What to do? Right now I had to switch over to Chromium

I am unable to make or receive video calls in Facebook and WhatsApp. I used to be able to in Facebook. The message I get is that my browser doesn't support video calls. What is wrong?

I would like to be able to turn off preload of videos (and images) so that I can watch a page with a lot of videos and only load those that I want to see. This is important if you don't have a high bandwith or a lot of data. I am sure I have done this before but now I am not able to achieve that.

FF dev 155.0b5 (but this has been ongoing for 1+yr). W11p. Is there somewhere in settings where I can "disable" whatever is blocking videos from being seen? (for example BBC news videos). I have to go to troubleshoot mode to watch. I have previously disabled all potential blocking exts like ghostery & UBlock, but to no effect (still no videos). I have looked in security in settings. Otherwise, I either go to troubleshoot or open chrome. Or, is there an extension that will allow that video viewing? Please advise, thank you.

Lately, whenever I click into a youtube video from within youtube, instead of Firefox blocking autoplay, it mutes the video but lets it play.

Initially, it was muting EVERY video I pulled up, but messing with my settings has fixed the problem if I click into a youtube video from elsewhere (ex. a google search result), or if I refresh the page. It's super annoying to having navigating youtube be this non-functional right now, though, since everything just silently plays until I catch and unmute it! Any help would be super appreciated!

usually when i click my keyboard's knob thing, it will pause and unpause whatever media is playing. but recently it's stopped doing that. it will work for anywhere between 2 mintues to 30 minutes, but eventually it stops. the only way to make it work again is to refresh the page or start a new page. the troubleshooting steps i've taken is: -close other media software (spotify, other tabs etc) -gone to abouy:config and typed in mediakey to check it works. also turned it off and on for good measure -turned off xbox gamebar -turned my pc off and on again. none of those worked i also thought it might be autoplay being turned off, but it didnt do anything. please help. thank you

Started OBS Vitrual Camera option. in Firefox the camera is no listed.

How can virtual cameras listed in Firefox?

but OBS Virtual Camera is not listed

Videos autoplay using iPad Pro M5 despite Auto-Play Video Previews, Auto-Play Animated Images and Auto-Play Message Effects all being turned OFF. Current Mozilla advice appears to be associated with PC use not iPad. Thank you!

Hi. Every time I go into youtube, the sound cuts out after about an hour. I then have to go to settings, volume mixer and Mozilla Firefox and click on the X to get the sound back. Youtube has assured me this is not their problem, but a Mozilla one. I've been with Firefox for many many years and have never had this problem. Could you please advise me as to what to do about this ? Thank you.

It seems to be related to video playback but not sure. It was happening while a video was playing full screen, and also after stopping playing/hiding a non-full-screen video.

To catch the issue had to screen record at 240fps. I used Nvidia Overlay to record the issue, but was happening before the overlay was even enabled.

Disabled all addons, made no difference. HW acceleration on or off, still happened.

70% of twitter or x and instagram videos don't work just go black image sound ok . youtube ok and other websites ok troubleshoot mode useless. google chrome play all video types .any edit flags
