In settings it use to say "open links in new tabs" now it just says "Open links in tabs instead of new windows"... what happened to "open links in NEW tab"? That would be the preferred option. When I'm in a tab and there's a link I click on I do not want to lose what I'm currently in, I want the link to open in a NEW tab. This has really gotten annoying!

There are times when my browser doesn't let me close tabs. Whenever that happens, clicking on the X button does nothing and I've noticed that, when I try that, another layer of buttons appears briefly just over the Firefox window resizing and closing buttons; as if a new screen layer of unknown origins is blocking my actions. Closing the window, however, works normally.

This problem happens randomly and I have no idea what's causing, but it's getting annoying. How can I fix that?

Have used Firefox for years, running tabs of info vital to me at top of page. Suddenly about 3-4 months ago Firefox wipes all the tabs clean every few weeks without any warning. This is seriously damaging to the work I do, and I urgently want to know what I must do to retrieve these tabs - or at the very least put a stop to the elimination of the these tabs? I have been having the issue that if i right click on a link to open it in a new tab, the tab opens the page BUT doesn't load 90% of the page. i am on facebook - i right click on a friend to look at their page and the page doesnt load. i thought this was facebook issue but it is happening on other websites that i use (for real estate purposes) FYI i have 200MB up and down internet speeds.i have even cleared the history and restarted the computer. there are no new updates to install. there are no other programs in the background running. my ram and cpu speed are beyond normal laptops.

A few days ago I opened my monitor and was greeted by Firefox, already open, with the session erased. No clue how or why.

I solved the problem by copying the latest upgrade.jsonlz4 file in the sessionstore-backups folder, renaming the copy as sessionstore.lsonlz4, renamed the original to sessionstoreold.jsonlz4, and replaced it with the copy in the main profile foider. It worked fine.

The only problem was the backup file was 2-3 days old, so there is a disparity between the content of the latest erased session, and the tabs from the backup.

I'm confused why there wouldn't be a backup created whenever the browser is closed, or something to that effect.

Is there no way to increase the frequency of created backups, and the quantity of of theses backups?

In settings, Start-up, I have the box checked for: "open previous windows and tabs" but it doesn't work. In order to do my work I need the 23 tabs I currently have open to show up again after a reboot of the browser or computer. What gives? How long will it take to get this corrected? Does every user seriously have to go through the rigmarole of manually editing a CSS file in order to have a usable UI? (as per https://ourtechroom.com/tech/get-back-old-tab-design-firefox/, for example)

When I go into Firefox & I bring up my bank for example if I go to another tab to bring up something else most times it won't do it. So then I have to shut it down & open it up again which is intensly annoying. This never used to happen say a year ago.

Hello. My Firefox (PC) has just updated to version 93.0. The problem now is that whenever I open a new tab, it is in dark mode, and the entire page is black. Only the address bar is white and visible. I have New Tab Overide, and each new tab should open the Google home page. So something is going on... I have never set dark mode as a preference for Firefox or Windows. Thanks to whoever can help me. Florio

How to Advise Mozilla that Capricious Changes to FireFox Interface are Unwelcome!

Perhaps some like change for its own sake. Many just want to use a browser to get work done.

I am Reticent to Upgrade FireFox because I now expect something To Change, To Break, I don't want the look and feel to change when I want to get work done! I want security fixes but broken features and a rearranged interface hinders the use of a browser.

Continuity is key to smooth use of a Browser. Moving menus, changing tabs, rearranging features, dumbing down menu titles is most unwelcome.

I particularly don't want browser interface changes intended for a tablet or pad for use on a desktop or laptop computer.

Changes to the Appearance should be OPT IN not OPT OUT.

I have just updated to 91.3.0esr (32-bit). When I Duplicate tab there is a new tab opened, but it is not set as active tab. This have changed from previous esr version, where the new tab were set as active tab.

Hi. sometimes I attempt to open a bunch of tabs and visit them later while I'm offline. the problem is when I open these tabs, All images hasn't been loaded and seem to be waiting for the internet connection to load. I've tested it on other browsers and none are like this and its really annoying me! Please help...!

Every since I downloaded firefox again I cannot open another site from my e-mail. Why do this when it will just cause problems. What was wrong with the other opening page of firefox?
