When downloading any file in Firefox (the picture is an example), the "Firefox" option will be added in the right-click open-with in Windows Explorer. This does not happen in other browsers. And this item is added without permission, it is a bad behavior.

在Firefox中下载任意文件(图中为一个例子),在Windows 资源管理器右键打开方式中都会被添加“Firefox”选项,这不会发生在其他浏览器上,而且一个浏览器未经允许添加一个打开方式是不好的行为。

The second time I seen this before.... Mozilla has changed into my aol account... And everything in my mozilla firefox account is gone ... The way I had it set up passwords everything is different .... And then it came back for a few hours and then changed back again.... And when it came back I shot a photo of what my Mozilla Firefox looks like at the top and the aol on the bottom ... NOW Mozilla looks identical to the bottom ....

What is going on please .....

I've used FF for coming up to 15 years, i don't know if it's related to the update but potentially so - videos (notably youtube e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIzgSwgvmtw just don't seem to play right now).

The video will play for 0.5s, and then freeze whilst the loading circle revolves, but the audio continues. Seeking on the video causes same isse. Randomly sometimes it works.

Have tried - Disabling extensions - Safe mode - Reset profile - Updated all drivers and windows - Restarted FF and machine - Updating some items found here (https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/wwnxtu/youtube_videos_freezing_since_updating_to_1040/) - Disabled hardware and combinations of above

Unsure what to do here, seems to work okay in other browsers, been happening for a few weeks so far. Netflix has similar but not as bad, youtube seems biggest offender but maybe because i use it the most

Using 118.0.1 (64-bit) under Linux Mint 21.2.

Apparent bug: Retrying failed "Web Page, Complete" case of "Save Page As..." does not retry downloading files.

  1. Observed behavior:

1. With the extension "DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials" enabled, typically if I do "Save Page As..." and choose "Web Page, Complete", then one or more files in the resulting "... Files" folder is missing compared to if the extension is disabled. This is probably as it should be. But...

2. In the downloads dropdown the download is shown as "failed". This is arguably as it should be, though the lack of information as to exactly which file download failed is unhelpful. Or arguably it is not as it should be, since from the point of the privacy extension user the download did not fail, it succeeded completely. But...

3. ***If I then click on the retry icon, it re-downloads *only the HTML*, not the files folder, and reports success.***

  1. Expected behavior:

If a "Save As..." "Web Page, Complete" fails, then retry should attempt to re-download all the files, or at least all the ones thought to have failed.

Hello! Since I updated Firefox to 118.0.1 (latest version when writing this) the Teams Large Gallery mode in Firefox is displaying black and eventually all the participants appear but the performance is 1 frame per minute. All the cameras are frozen and occasionally the display refreshes for one single frame.

Audio is working fine and default Gallery mode (only 4 camera displayed) still works normally.

Thank you!

Part of my morning chores is the printing (and databasing) of some of today's news as available on the Internet. I use Win2Pdf as my printer and have never had problems. Over the past couple of days FF has printed one webpage okay but it hangs when moving to preview on any subsequent webpage. Rebooting FF is the only solution I have found but the new boot only prints the one webpage and hangs on subsequent pages. This means that I have to reboot FF every time I want to print a webpage - something of a PITA.

I have re-installed FF (92.0 64-bit) and run through the troubleshooting options. No improvement.

What's the hangup? How do I fix it?

I am running a macmini with MacOS 10.13.6. I downloaded Firefox 93.0. The app will start up, load the urls but cannot access any of the servers. E.g. "We can’t connect to the server at www.cbc.ca." I connected to your site via another browser and followed instructions to add another profile, reinstall Firefox, and restart in trouble shooting mode. The "terminal" tried to send a crash report but could not because of a problem accessing your server.

At the same time my Mail accounts are all offline and cannot be put back on line.

I am dead in the water, and am using a Windows laptop to read emails. Please help.

Firefox screen contents below:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.cbc.ca.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

Try again later. Check your network connection. If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

Every time I click on a link from any browser page, I get a page that says to try again, like couldn't connect error message to the effect. Once I click on the try again button it loads just fine. Is this a browser issue or have I possibly been hacked and the hacker is getting my info forwarded to him/her causing the browser to not recognize the command, and then once I click try again it goes on like normal?

I have this issue in many PCs updated to the latest Firefox versions. After openening some tabs to access web pages (mainly google.com) after some time when opening a new tab the page will not load in the new tab and whatever you do no new tab gets internet access. If you close Firefox and re open it works for some time/tabs and then it happens again... When working in private mode this does not happen.

I have tried the following:

- Delete all cookies and temp files
- Delete profile and created a new one transferring only bookmars
- Reinstalled Firefox

Please help!

Tabs loading endlessly. Show page but then keep loading with an X where the reload symbol should appear. Happens on many different websites. Firefox 93.0 (64 bit) Windows 10.

I have followed everything in Firefox Troubleshooting Guide. Nothing makes any difference including resetting Firefox, but closing and restarting Firefox delays it happening on the first load of saved tabs, but then just starts up again. Reboot the same.

This is getting to the stage where I shall have to abandon Firefox as I've tried all debugging and nothing has worked.

Hi, My main concern is that I've recieved 4 security alerts within the last week from 4 different end users on our company network. The alert states "abnormally large DNS requests" with an associated file of 'firefox.exe'. I am working on investigating this to see what exactly is causing this - one end user had over 500 dns requests. I am able to sift through them and make sure they're not malicious, but I'm having a harder time drilling down on what process is causing this?
