I am evaluating a password manager application and exported my FF passwords and imported them into the app. For testing I removed all of the passwords from FF. I want to password protect the csv file rather than delete it in case I need to import the passwords back into FF. When I go to File/Info, the "Protect Workbook" option is greyed out. When I go to the "Review" tab, the option to "Protect Workbook" is available, not the "Unprotect" option, so the workbook is not protected. If I click on the "Share" folder on the right side of the ribbon, there is no "More" option. In Windows Explorer the file is on my desktop, not OneDrive - Personal. I right clicked on the file, selected "Give access to" and took the option to remove access. The File/Info option is still greyed out. How can I password protect this file or how can I export it in a format that can be imported later?

With the new update to Firefox v137 I am no longer able to sign in to Government sites using my bank as a sign in partner. Google Chrome will sign in so it has something to do with the new update. I have cleared cache and all data and still no luck with the sign in. Any help would be appreciated because Firefox has been my default browser for years and I'm not interested in changing.

How do I change the time out to a longer time?

Seems I've noticed an issue with playing of YouTube videos the last few days. It seems that either the video(s) is slower to load and/or is slower to play. While it's not terribly slower in human time it's slower than normal in computer time. I'm not having this problem in Chrome. Cookies and cache are cleaned multiple times a day. So, I'm a little stumped as to why I'm having this issue. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I am having a problem saving my work through a portal I am using for work on Firefox.

While trying to fix this problem, I went to Firefox Settings and noticed the following hyperlinked text: "Your browser is being managed by your organization." This is my personal computer, so I don't know what organization it may be referring to.

Clicking on it brings me to a new tab called "Enterprise Policies". In that tab is a list called "Active" with two columns: Policy Name and Policy Value. The only item listed is "DisableAppUpdate" with the value "true". This may be the cause of my original problem, but in any case, I want to be able to run updates!

I am using Firefox 137.0.1 (64-bit) on a Pop_OS system.

How do I turn off "DisableAppUpdate" and run updates?

I created an account on an old PC, in the account it is visible as kos-work-note, now I am on a new kos-ltop, and there is no data at all in the browser, why is that?

W 11 May, 2025 update really made my computer unable to go online in any way and I had to restore. But FFox updates to have made it impossible to communicate. My phone has trouble s too. As practically every other Firefox user, my bookmarks evolved into a lengthy file system that uses folders to segregate categories of bookmarks.

That is, it used to have this feature.

After the last update all or most of the bookmarks (I can't tell by scrolling down the long list) are devoid of their organizing folders. This puts a great deal of information beyond easy reach. In Mozilla Help topics one is advised to click on the library icon in the toolbar ... only there is no such icon on my copy of Developer's Edition.

Can someone suggest a method or methods to recover the folders?

Some passwords have been lost as well.

It gives a Connection error and Swansons seems to think it is my browser problem. I haven't had problem with this site before and I don't have problems any place else. I turned off Malwarebytes Browser Guard, temporarily, and that didn't hgelp. I already cleared the history and that didn't help.

i share my computer and when someone else uses the browser they see the last page I used. Emails open and they can see my private emails. how do I stop this without erasing history everytime I use it

Some of my bookmarks are gone AGAIN. This time adding .old to files and deleting others did not fix the problem, nor has restarting firefox. I can see that sites have blue stars, indicating that they are saved into bookmarks (such as "weather") that I can no longer see in my bookmarks menu. Trying to recover bookmarks does not work. I can see recent dates of bookmarks. I can see old firefox data on my desktop.

Bookmarks are a basic function of browsers. This is RIDICULOUS. Please fix this issue.

I have not had ANY UPDATES to my computer since yesterday. Yesterday all my bookmarks were there!

as per description I noticed that firefox version 138 requires an ArrayBuffer as the argument of WebAssembly.compile() and doesn't allow anymore (like in 137) a SharedArrayBuffer, is this intended or it will be fixed in the future? Follows a simple test case. Kind reagards.

I am receiving pop-ups from what appears to be Mozilla Firefox saying: System is infected! Viruses detected, Turn on protection and delete viruses. The virus identified is ZEUS.2020 Trojan. Click here to scan and clean via: d3av3500fes73a78mk0.mosgdefender.com This link doesn't work. So, how can I get this issue resolved? Any help would be appreciated. in FF 137.02 Win11Pro there is no reopen previous session option in the history menu, even though in settings, history, "firefox will" is set to remember history. We tried reinstalling FF. No luck.

Is there a way to reopen the previous session?

I was having an issue with pdfs on firefox; all my pdfs were showing up as black. To fix that, I refreshed firefox, which solved the problem just fine. Unfortunately, once I did all my extensions stopped working. The page looks like this.

For most of my extensions, I can just solve this by getting rid of them and adding them again, but if I do that for onetab I'd lose all my stored tabs. How can I get this back?
