I've encountered a recurring issue with Firefox on Ubuntu where my master password is sporadically not recognized when typed using my external wireless keyboard. This problem does not occur consistently but is particularly frustrating when it does, as it forces me to switch to my laptop's keyboard for input. I'm certain the password is entered correctly; after multiple careful attempts (3-5 times), the issue persists, leading to unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

- **Operating System:** Latest version of Ubuntu - **Hardware:** Dell Latitude laptop with a Contour external wireless keyboard, connected through a Dell docking station. This setup is shared with another laptop (HP) via the docking station.

• • Observations:**

- The issue seems to occur sporadically and is not reproducible on demand, adding to the frustration. - It has happened notably on the first login attempt after the computer's first boot of the day. - On one occasion, the problem led me to change my master password under the mistaken belief it had been compromised.

• • Impact:**

This intermittent recognition issue disrupts my workflow and significantly affects my user experience with Firefox. The necessity to switch input methods and the initial misinterpretation of the problem as a security concern are particularly concerning.

I feel this can only be corrected by an adjustment to the version, am on 122.0.1 as the latest update. My O/S Linux Mint Mate v20.0.3. Have NOT been to any schooling or even just a class for any training, all done as my curiosity has driven me to learn on my own, Self-taught and have been working with CPU`s for over 35 years, I am 84...

Getting to this point has been a rather long drawn-out process that has been a bit confusing hope this info is acceptable.

After a recent Microsoft update, FF Picture-in-picture now broken. Will not detach from viewer, instead expands much larger beyond screen. Attempts to restore pauses video. Problem not just in YouTube. FF; 122.0.1, W11; OS build 22621.3155

For several days now I have been receiving the message "Automatic activation of filters". It goes away after a few seconds but is extremely irritating, how to turn it off?

Any suggestions? After I type in a website on the firefox browser, I am led to the screen that says Resultsvit.com I don't go any further, concerned I might be hacked.

For several weeks now, whenever I close Firefox and shut down my iMac and open Gmail the next day, Gmail seems to forget which emails I have already read, and it marks many old emails as unread. Deleting the Google cache and cookies helps, but only temporarily. This problem doesn't seem to occur when using a different browser, such as Safari, or when using the built-in MacOS email client. Therefore, I'm thinking it's a buggy interaction between Firefox and Gmail. I didn't used to have this problem, so perhaps it's related to a Firefox update? Anyhow, I'm hoping someone can help. When visiting HP.com - US-English site and signing in to my account, it opens fine - in English - but if I click on links, it connects to sites in a different link. I tried it on Microsoft Edge and it worked fine. It's only on Firefox that I have the problem.

Earlier this week, our local IT expert informed us that while Firefox would still be available, it will have no further development. I am looking at updating my Windows systems to Win11 and would like to know if this is true?

I am able to log in to my microsoft account and open my outlook, but when I click on a message I get an error msg (see attached). When I use Chrome I am able to access it. This problem started yesterday 2.8.2024

After an update yesterday, I found out the password manager integrated in Firefox was completely empty. I tried to rename logins.json.corrupt into logins.json, I tried deactivating all the plugins and I also tried copying the file into a new Firefox profile but it got corrupted right away again. If I put in an old logins.json it works but unfortunately it's a saved file from about 3 years ago.... Any idea about how I could get my passwords back? How to "uncorrupt" the logins.json?

In Commonwealth Bank Netbank with Windows 10, when I attemp to check future payments I have set up, I get an error message after waiting some time while a message "Loading" is displayed, stating "Sorry we are unable to find the page you were looking for due to a technical problem". Cleraing cookies and cache makes no difference.

This problem does not occur with Google Chrome.

I lost my New Tab Page, the default page. I see the article that explains how to disable extensions, but the directions start with clicking on Menu. The opening page I get now does not have a menu icon, it does not have a new tab bar, and it does not even have an X to close the window. So how do I get the old Default windo back?
