This keeps happening - not an isolated incident.
The option to open a dialog box to upload a file becomes non-existent. Concurrently, I'm unable to download and save files.
This is resolved when Mozilla releases an update and I can update my browser. Then eventually something happens and the features stop working. It's like a download fails and then blocks further ones. However, there isn't something obviously stuck in my downloads history.
I can't seem to close my browsers and reopen it to fix, have to wait for an update but this always resolves it. This has happened at least a dozen times now. It is NOT my operating system.
This is wildly frustrating.

I have cleared all data, set security to Standard without relief. I've set the PDF Action to "Always Ask" yet get no dialog box on clicking on a PDF link. Other browsers work just fine. Hello! I'm trying to download a quantity of audio files from a specific website. Once I open firefox, I can manage to download a few in that session - anywhere from 1 to 10 usually. Then, at some point, the downloads start to hang. They appear as how they do when they're loading - "Unknown time left - 0 bytes (0 bytes/sec)". However, they never load. The only solution is to restart Firefox, to be able to download a few more.
I'm on Linux mint, Firefox version 137.0.2 (64-bit). I tried running firefox through the terminal to see if anything would show up when the downloads stop working, and I got this:
