but how can i change this in firefox? where i need to put this or how?

I can't find a way to disable tabs scrolling. This is highly confusing, I have to always look for my tabs and do extra clicks and scrolling. This is very distracting. Also those two buttons - "<" & ">" - they occupy extra space. The left one is especially annoying because I expect a "+ new tab" button to be there. I don' want to test/use this new experimental feature, how can I turn this off? Thank you.

I recently had to reinstall Windows, as a result of a hard drive issue. This involved reinstalling Firefox from scratch.

As such I had browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash set to false, but browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes was still set to its default value of 1. The combination resulted in a browser restore after a crash...

This would seem to imply that browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash has either been deprecated (though that is not mentioned in the knowledgebase article), or it is not being correctly interrogated in the code. Unless I am missing something, and I do not want to go thru the entire config to see what else I might need to set...

If I am reading this wrong, please let me know if there are other entries that need to change from default. In the event of a crash, I want the browser to start with my home pages, NOT restore.

Currently on FF 125.0.3 (64-bit) - and yes, I know there is an update waiting for me to restart my browser yet again...

Is there a way to set a separate theme for the private browsing option? I like being able to visually distinguish between the normal browser and the private one, but enabling a theme seems to set the same visuals for both.

If separate themes are not a thing, perhaps they could be added in a later update?

Some of my add-on shortcuts have disappeared from the toolbar. I have tried all of the suggestions on your help site. If I go to the add-ons page, it says they are still there, but they don't show up in my browser.

I want to change "browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once" preference to true. So I do it in about:config page and if I reaccess this page in another tab within the session, then my value is being kept.

However, when I restart Firefox (thru "Exit" in "File" menu), all previous pages get restored and that preference is "false" again in the config after a new browser start.

I also made a user.js file with the following content: // user_pref("browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count", 0); user_pref("browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once",true);

Nothing helps.

Please let me know how I can modify the config file.

After applied Chinese Language Pack, the menu didn't change ,even after restart firefox or the system. I tried refresh firefox and re-install the language pack, the same situation appeared.

Hello, all the sudden, news site comments don't show and after research here I learned it might be enhanced protection tracking settings. I tried all the settings and nothing seems to work well (not tech savvy). Strict = user comments blocked and all the other settings allow so many ads they cover content and/or there are a hundred on a page. On a desktop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I want to disable this redundant dropdown there is a post here from 6 years, but dont dolve my problem, I dont want to disable or separate the seach and the url bar, i just want to get ridoof this redundant information, just for curiosity, if i disable search or separate the bars, i still get the anoing dropdown but with "Visit" instead of "Seach with"

I've recently uploaded a custom-made extension to the Chrome Web Store for my personal use and for a few specific users. It's currently awaiting review.

However, I'm encountering an issue where I cannot download and use the extension myself. When attempting to download, I receive the message "Download failed. Please check your connection."

Although I can see the extension listed on the store (since it's mine), I'm unable to use it personally.

Could you please assist me with resolving this issue?

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. I am a heavy user of Firefox: daily & around 8 hours a day.

I usually use alt+shift+left/right-arrow to select a few words to the right / to the left. With the latest update (mandatory because this is a work-administered) laptop, the new behavior is that tabs are changed.

I want any solution to revert this to standard (past) behavior (preferably not an extension). Looked around in about:config but could not find anything to toggle on/off.

This is highly annoying as I've had this workflow for literally years. Even opening this ticket I encountered the issue more than 3 times as I was phrasing the message and had to delete & rewrite some stuff while also have other tabs open in the same Firefox window.

Would highly appreciate your timely response!
