Long story short...I lost my hard drive, reinstalled windows....I never used a firefox login on this laptop. I do have a backup of all my data/appfiles --- actually i cloned the failed drive. So I have this directory in my backups:

D:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\810aqnu7.default-release-1636153011215\bookmarkbackups. There are a bunch of JSON versions of bookmarkfiles there stored....how can i get my bookmarks back with these files?

where is the "current bookmark files" stored? which directory?

I am using Firefox on a new computer and it IS set at the default browser. But when I am in other programs and click a link (Thunderbird, LibreOffice, etc.), the link does NOT open in Firefox. Is there a setting I need to change to fix this?

Site only loads in 'safe' mode. Will not load otherwise - how can I find error?

When I set up my computer, I have been using chrome for my work email and systems, and firefox for my personal email, for years now. This year I have found repeatedly that firefox will claim to have lost internet connection (ON A HARDWIRED COMPUTER) repeatedly during the day. And sometimes I will open a new tab to do a google search--and get a blank tab. Chrome works like a charm. No problems, ever. I have had IT work on this problem with me 5 times this fall (I'm in biological science). We have updated all the software and drivers, checked the computer's memory, checked the computer's upload and download speed, updated the docking station and replaced the wires. And Chrome works fine all the while. I think you have a problem, folks. I might have to ditch you.

I moved house in October - previously having been with BT = now I am with SHell - but not a bad service except that I am unable to access the National Lottery site - I have contacted Shell several times - also the National Lottery. Nobody seems able or wants to help me.

After the most recent upgrade for Firefox 108.0.1 on my Linux Mint 20.3, the icons along the top of the Yahoo! Mail pages for individual mail messages have stopped working. This prevents me from doing anything to a message - no reply, forward, move, archive, delete, or close. The only way to leave an individual message is to use the left menu and return to the Inbox. Additionally, within the Inbox the ability to select multiple messages, change the status of a message, etc have stopped working. The only thing that can be done from the Inbox is to select a message for display.

I tried turning of the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials and Norton Safe Web extensions, but there was no change in behavior.

This problem is specific to my Linux Mint 20.3 laptop as Firefox 108.0.1 is working correctly on my Linux Mint 21 desktop.

Doesn't appear on other logins (attached) - just Google gmail login appears to be the issue.

I recently switched from Brave to FF. An annoying problem is that whenever I click web links in external programs such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook etc Firefox always opens it in a new window instead of a new tab like Brave did. Also the window it opens does not have my extensions enabled, indicating that it is some form of incognito or web view window or something? These are my settings.

How can I solve this issue?

Since the last Firefox update, I can't download anything, not even the Windows updates! I notice that many others are having the same problem. I can download everything using the Microsoft Edge browser so I will probably stop using Firefox unless you come up with a fix soon. This is a major problem!

Does Firefox provides us with an option to group the tabs. I tried finding it in Firefox Tab's content menu and Settings but couldn't. I tried the Simple Tab Groups add-on but didn't like it. I want to groups the tabs and want them in the tabs section just like How Google Chrome does it?

"Go back one page" doesn't work correctly with YouTube. 50% of the time it just changes the url, but doesn't load the page, and the video keeps playing. You have to refresh a page to properly load it

The Firefox display of Comcast mail has been quite good for many years. However, possibly after an update, the display of Comcast Mail has missing items, failure to update some, and just a very messed display that cannot be relied on. Tried the same mail account on Edge and it is perfect. Do I stay with Edge or can my Firefox account be fixed?

Many sites I visit on a regular basis, such as banking etc. come up with a warning and direct me to this site automatically but only while using FireFox. https://takeyourpresent.life/?u=63fkp0n&o=uh7pmz8 My AntiVirus also stops FireFox from continuing to my regular sites and points to this site as insecure. Again only while using this browsers not any others. Something seems to be embedded into FireFox. Please look into it, in other words,,,,HELP!

In the past few months, I've had problems with links that come from emails received on my account. There are a couple of senders who have links to a web page. When I go to that page, they often will have a youtube link, but the link is missing. Further, when working with the sender, they send another email with the web page pasted into it, I still don't see the link. They can see it before they send it.

I'm getting email direct from their website and am not using outlook or another client on my end. I have the same results on every browser I've tried. I'm not using any ad blocker and Firefox and Windows are up to date. I have also tried disabling my firewall. Nothing seems to help so far.

Anyone have an idea of what I might be missing?

Please help. I've been trying every solution I've seen online to correct this but nothing works. I get that error message saying I'm offline with YouTube. Only on Firefox browser. I've turned off my add blockers and other add-ons but nothing helps. I've refreshed Firefox, dumped cookies etc. I'm running windows 10 and always get the latest version of Firefox. I use YouTube for my video entertainment instead of TV and am becoming extremely aggravated. Thank You, C.J. Johnson.

I can't load any web sites in Firefox on my desktp computer. On the laptop it's fine--otherwise I couldn't send this. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and it still doesn't help.

I have an external USB SSD drive that I use only to manually copy occasional data files for backup. No program files are on that drive. When I want to disconnect the USB drive with ONLY Firefox running, Windows tells me a program is using the drive. When I close Firefox I can disconnect the drive normally. There are no Firefox related files on the drive - not even manual backups.

Why is Firefox using my USB drive? How do I stop such access?
