After a recent Microsoft update, FF Picture-in-picture now broken. Will not detach from viewer, instead expands much larger beyond screen. Attempts to restore pauses video. Problem not just in YouTube. FF; 122.0.1, W11; OS build 22621.3155

Am running on linux with KDE. When I press the software shutdown button in KDE, and reboot, the tabs in firefox remain, even though I disabled that from happening in settings.

I would like to find the settings for PREVENTING FIREFOX VER 115 ESR on MAC from UPDATING. \

This is because Firefox 115.7.0esr.dmg is (supposedly) the last version for old MacBook Air that lets me watch Netflix on that machine. I want to use Firefox exclusively for that purpose, so that all of Mozilla and Firefox staff can stop worrying about viruses, etc.

The question is: Is there such a setting on Firefox 115.7.0esr.dmg that would let me accomplish that. I CAN follow long-winded & complicated instructions to the letter, and as long as these instructions are correct and complete, there should be no problem. If mission control for NASA's 1977's Voyager can still communicate and extend the useful of the Voyager probe, then I figure that you understand what it might take to keep a MacBook Air from 2015 going. In other words: As long as it works, it's worth it to keep it going.

If Mozilla's mantra is: "Lets destroy everything older than 4 years", then you will not understand the issue.

Does anyone on Support Mozilla know the secret magic software words to do this?

I do not want my searches to be reflected in the address bar. I believe in prior versions of Firefox there was a checkbox to delete that provision. I'm using Firefox 123.0 64-bit with Windows 10 and have been through the setting and more tools areas but found no way to remove that function. I did try the about:config suggestions but still have no joy.

I've been encountering a persistent error with Firefox, and I'm hoping someone here might have a solution. Whenever I try to open Firefox, I keep getting an error message that says "Secure Connection Failed" for certain websites. It's really frustrating because it's preventing me from accessing important sites. I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?

Po przeinstalowaniu systemu i wgraniu Mozilli mam problem z otwieraniem plików. Brakuje mi możliwości jak ze zdjęcia, które jest z instrukcji jak to robić. Przykładowo pliki .pdf zapisuj się i otwieraj od razu, wszystko fajnie. Ale już pliki .msg czy .eml nie chc otworzyć się automatycznie w Outlook'u i nie widzę nigdzie opcji zaznaczenia "zawsze otwieraj podobne pliki" czy jak to tam szło dokładnie. Bardzo proszę o pomoc gdyż bardzo mocno utrudnia to pracę i użytkowanie przegladarki.

Hello, In old versions of Firefox picture-in-picture mode was "always on top" by default, now "always on top" mus to be enabled every time I pop-out every video. Is there any solution to make picture-in-picture mode "always on top" by default?

Hi, I am trying to install an add-on for MetaCert. I receive the following from Firefox: "Check This by MetaCert by MetaCert". This does not help to install the add-on. This is not a problem on my other PC. Look forward to your help/suggestions. Best, Stephen Rodgers

When I click on a pdf file, Firefox opens and displays the file, rather than handing it off to Acrobat, which is my preference. I'm running Firefox 122.0.1 and Windows 11 Firefox seems to ignore the settings in General, Applications. (See attached image)

    If I set to Always Ask, Firefox displays the file without asking.
    If I set to Save File, Firefox does not save the file.  It displays pdf instead.
    If I set to Windows Default Application, Firefox displays the file.  
         (Note: Acrobat is set in Windows as my default app for pdfs.  If I find a pdf with Windows Explorer and open it there, Acrobat is launched and it displays the file.  IOW I've confirmed that Acrobat is set as my default app for pdfs)
    If I set to Acrobat, Firefox displays the file.

I see nothing in Firefox Settings showing an Add-in for pdfs Any ideas?

When in fullscreen, if I move the mouse to the top-left corner and right click, a browser context menu appears. The page I'm on is using mouse right clicks, so this browser function is breaking the controls of the page if I ever accidentally click the top left corner (which I do often).

Is there any way to disable this menu appearing? I would never use this menu to minimise/close the program so I just want it gone. It's breaking fullscreen controls in it's current form

I use a public computer often, and I would like to use certain customizations while remaining anonymous. Rather than going through and clicking a bunch of checkboxes, I decided to have a hot key combination to enter in order to obtain my desired options. For example, I want to allow new windows to open normally, I want to choose where files are saved, and I want to turn off Firefox's recommendations. The underlined hotkeys are, respectively, ALT+W, ALT+A, and ALT+R ALT+F. So rather than a bunch of scrolling and clicking, I could just type ALT+WARF, and get the options I want quickly.

However, pressing the hotkeys while in the settings does not seem to do anything. In particular, pressing ALT+WARF only succeeds in pressing the ALT+F, which opens the File menu. Pressing these keys without an ALT key sends them automatically to the search bar -- which is also not what I want. Pressing ALT+SHIFT focuses in on the checkbox -- but does not press it. For example, ALT+SHIFT+W focuses on the checkbox, but I still have to click SPACE after it to press it.

Is this a bug? If not, how can I make the underlined keys press the respective checkboxes?

I have a content filter to filter out inappropriate material. Included in the filter are filters for adult content on wikipedia, youtube,and google podcasts. however, all those sites are fully allowed on Firefox, as opposed to on Safari and google chrome where the filter is working properly

I have to save a lot of PDF documentation in Firefox browser. When I use a software and I click a button the print preview window appears, after that I save the documentation in pdf. Is there any way to automated it?

Always ask you where to save files -> not checked Content-type PDF -> Save file in the Applications section At now this config is does not work. I want to click the button, and it will download into the correct folder.

Saved themes in Firefox color not visible in add-ons manager. Does not fix itself in safe mode. One of the saved themes is a default preset I liked, the other is a preset I made myself, using all options except advanced colors.

I have Firefox as my default browser instead of Microsoft Edge on my HP laptop. I've tried everything under the sun to make Google my default search engine over Microsoft Bing, and no matter what it won't stop rerouting me to Bing. I can go to www.google.com and type directly in the search bar and it STILL reroutes me to Bing, even when my settings list Google as my default search engine of the search bar. Can I block Bing as a website altogether? HP support only offered to connect me with a specialized team that costs money. Please help.
