Hello,

We have set a fixed proxy in Firefox on our employees' notebooks. However, when the notebooks do not have a VPN connection to our network, the proxy cannot be reached. Firefox then disables the proxy after a short time. I found the setting network.proxy.failover_direct under about:config and thought that setting it to false would solve the problem. However, Firefox behaves the same way.

How can I prevent Firefox from accessing the internet except through the specified proxy?

Hi, BIG fan, but.. Is there any way to "convince" the beauuutiful dev`s to give us a radio check box in the settings that says "I know what I`m doing so I will update when I see the need" (and in fact turn off the veeeery annoying "UPDATE!!, UPDATE!!"... window, that is driving me inane. Comes up like something was on fire :( then it is just some minor thing for those that love streaming... that means... not me. I don not want to, but I probably have to (after umpften years with the fox) start looking for a browser that does not drive me nuts. Give people the option to update if and when they want to, without a over needy window in the top right eeevery 10 seconds, give it a rest, please?

Secure DNS is ON with custom DNS url set and proper Root and Intermediate Certificates are imported into Mozilla Certificate Trust Store.

When I attempt to search on Mozilla Firefox I get this message from Norton, my antivirus software provider: "We prevented your connection to rini.drorinat.com because it is a dangerous webpage:URL:Phishing" This has only happened in the last few days. I am offered no sites - just this message from Norton. How can I solve this, as Norton does not appear to offer a solution, though I have messaged them on their site.

So, I got the "Restart to keep using Firefox message" while working to make sure that certain HIPPA protected data. I cannot close out of the browser because I am in an incognito window.

Is there a way to pause the message or can I only prevent it by disabling automatic updates?

P.S. So I work in the very sensitive part of Data Engineering e911 that deals with medical patient reports that given ONLY to the doctor at the hospital when the fire department drops you off at a Hospital. Because of extremely sensitive nature some of the specific report fields, I am not longer legally allowed (by HIPPA as old as the law is) to use browsers like chrome. So, I have to use browser like Firefox that are still in compliance. I want Firefox to update, but I want to choose when it updates (on the first weekend when there is a national fire or storm disaster happening... which technically will be this first Saturday since the update on the 15th).

The proxy settings just don't apply. I set the settings on the system, all programs work via proxy except Firefox (set to use system proxy settings). If I set the proxy manually in Firefox, the connection still doesn't go through the proxy.

I found that only the very first connection after starting Firefox goes through the proxy, absolutely all subsequent connections do not go through the proxy.

When I was trying to sing in to bit defender I ended up wiht this mozilla package. why did the bit defender have a statement questioning reliability using an ad-on?

I recently re-installed FireFox after I suddenly had problems that the profile folder could not be accessed. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it using the download from Mozilla website. This fixed the profile issue. I am using the latest version. Now, I find that most of the time, cnn.com won't load: I see messages on the bottom left corner that it is connecting to all sorts of web sites, in particular it tends to get stuck on "Sending request to signal-metrics-collector-beta.s-onetag.com" . I don't know if it eventually loads, I give up after about 1 minute. In Chrome, cnn.com loads instantly. In Firefox, BBC.com loads instantly. Microsoft.com loads instantly. I have installed the same extensions as before. I started FireFox with all of them turned off, no difference. As I mentioned, it does not load MOST of the time - once in a while it loads instantly, but later on the problem reoccurs. >What is wrong with FireFox and why won't it load CNN as quickly as before? When I try loading certain sites while using Proton VPN i get the following error message: Server Not Found. If I disable Proton VPN and enable the VPN on Firefox the site come right up. Can someone please tell me why this happens and how I can make these load using Proton VPN?

I receive this message from NORTON 360 every time I start Firefox.

It tells me to run Smart Scan which I do but nothing is ever found.

Is this a false report?

WHY DO I KEEP GETTING THIS ERROR???

I never got this before but now i get this every week. restarting my computer does not fix the problem. this sucks! the article to fix this are way too complicated. how do I fix this? I use Ccleaner and reboot, but that does nit fix the issue either. HELP!
